Forest Yurt

Forest Yurt has all of the spirit of an off-grid forest yurt, in a quiet Anchorage neighborhood, 5 mins from airport. This 16' partial off-grid unit is wood stove heated (cut wood included), or guests can use a space heater. Comfortable full bed. Basic kitchenette amenities available: microwave, hot plate, tools, pans. No plumbing; sink and toilet are an eco- friendly Boxio system. Next to a forested park with trails. Enjoy the hot tub, collect fresh chicken eggs, and breathe forest air!

The views from the large windows and deck are stunning. Try some fishing, skating, kayaking, swimming or walk the trails. Grilling on the deck or a bonfire ( ask for firewood) overlooking the lake are great evening activities. Not the outdoor type, you’ll find this a peaceful place to unwind. Located 13 miles from Wasilla makes this spot ideal as your hub to exploring Alaska. We are happy to host your pets(dogs only) pets not allowed in any beds. Excessive pet hair will be charged $50.

Lake Log Cabin

Our lake log cabin in located on beautiful Carpenter Lake. While small and somewhat rustic, it has a loft bedroom accessible via a spiral staircase with a queen size bed and a downstairs bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed. The cabin has a full kitchen and a small bathroom with a shower. The sun room was our favorite place to hang out when we lived in the cabin with views of the lake and the rest of the property.
