Enjoy stepping back in time while staying in our 1914 Carriage House which has been thoughtfully updated while still maintaining the character of the home. We are located in the North Historic District of Palestine. The Carriage House is adjacent to our 1907 Greek Revival home. You will have access to our pool which has several comfortable seating spaces and a tranquil environment with many flowers and foliage. The Carriage House is located within our gated property with front door parking.

You will discover a new experience…fresh air, a beautiful hardwood forest, a small private lake, so quiet and peaceful with wildlife surrounding you, and of course, cardinals! You will be inside a gated community with private parking, a campfire area and a canoe. You may fish in the lake in front of the guest house, but it is strictly “catch and release”. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

VJ Farms- a wonderful place to gather!

Welcome to VJ Farms! My grandparents, Verda & Jiles bought this property in 1962 with the G.I. Bill. My grandfather built this house with his own two hands & it holds our family's best and most precious memories. The house has gone through a big renovation! This piece of heaven is filled with love, adventure, fun, peacefulness & is the perfect place to gather together with the ones you love. Twin Oaks Ranch

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Fishing is permitted in the ponds. The ponds are stocked with a dock. Enjoy a walk through the forest trails. Clean and newly renovated guest house. A fully equipped kitchen is provided with all the necessary utensils. The bedroom has a king-size bed. Two couches can be pulled out to create two additional beds. We welcome dogs. There is a fenced yard for dogs and a doggy door. 15 minutes to town. There is no fire pit or grill.
