Bright, homely flat overlooking Rothesay Bay !

The flat is situated across the road from the beach (about 30 secs walk) We are on the edge of the town, about 2 mins walk from the main supermarket and about 3 mins walk from the main shopping street of the town. There is free parking at the back of the building and free parking at the front too. We are situated about 7/8 minutes walk from the main ferry pier and you can watch the ferry coming in from the front windows. All in all it's a very warm, comfortable flat and we are very pet friendly.

See our original artworks and books gathered over many years coupled with natural oak and stone flooring create a very restful and pleasant atmosphere for your stay.

Argyll Retreat by Lock Eck. Argyll Forest Park.

Open all year. Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers and pets are very welcome and stay at no extra charge. There are many activities in the area for the outdoor enthusiast and Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Southside Cottage provides an excellent self catering experience near Troon in Ayrshire, Scotland, offering privacy within the peaceful surroundings of the countryside. The bungalow offers spacious accommodation for up to 6 people. It is close to excellent amenities within local towns and is well connected to major road networks for exploring further afield. The bungalow is very well maintain and extremely well equipped providing a relaxing and comfortable home from home experience.

A self-contained studio apartment with separate access from the main house giving total privacy for guests. Perfect for people starting their journey on The West Highland Way, or for those looking for a relaxing trip. The property is roughly a 15 minute walk from Milngavie train station/ transportation can be provided if required. Country environment but also a very accessible place as trains go directly to the centre of Glasgow and Edinburgh from here.A travel cot is available .

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

Perfect base for those without a car as walking distance to centre. 7 miles from Royal Troon golfcourse and 15 miles to Turnberry.
