The Back 80 Cabin

Beautiful, newly remodeled, cozy house in the woods. Located about 15 minutes from Munising and 10 minutes from Au Train. Very quiet location in the woods with trails to walk and a small creek running through the property Sleeps 8 people. The area offers lots of outdoor activities, including Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Alger County has 13 waterfalls and lots of hiking, boating, and fishing. Snowmobile/ATV trails are accessible from the cabin, 2 miles north on a dirt road. No pets!!

The cabin is located on a quiet, paved, tree-lined street nestled on 6 serene acres of hardwood forest. We are a short drive to M13 and all of the recreational inland lakes that the area has to offer. Head the other direction and you are a short 15 min drive to Miners Castle/Miners Beach which can be a fantastic launching point to your UP adventure!

We're just 10 miles south of downtown Munising - the gateway to Pictured Rocks; we're surrounded by hundreds of miles of roads and trails which boast amazing fall colors; and we're just 3 miles away, as the crow flies, from the Buckhorn Resort and snowmobile Trail 7. Our location is perfect for playing year round!

Located 25 minutes north of Marquette, our yurt is simple and rustic without electricity and a woodstove is the only heat source. We provide bedding, water in buckets, a simple kitchen, a battery pack for string lights, and a sauna for warming the bones. We encourage and cater to silent-sport type of guests as we have kind and close neighbors on all sides. Its nestled in the woods where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest but is still in close proximity to hiking, biking, cross country ski trails, and Marquette Mountain for downhill skiing and all Marquette has to offer. It is approximately 3 miles from the snowmobile trail and can be accessed using Green Garden Road. A very easy ride to the trail.
