The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Alpaca Lodge with stunning views and alpacas

The Alpaca Lodge is a free standing stone building next to our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare), surrounded by our herd of friendly free-roaming alpacas and llamas, with stunning views of Kenmare Bay. It has a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, a small seating area and en-suite bathroom. Cereal, milk, porridge, orange juice, snack bars and biscuits are provided in the room, and there is a kettle, microwave, toaster and a small fridge, tea & coffee, cutlery & plates . AGE 12+

Katie’s Fastnet Cabin

Katie’s Fastnet Cabin The stunning seascape changes every day in front of the nautical themed Fastnet Cabin. Relax and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide overlooking Croagh Bay located just inside the iconic Fastnet Lighthouse. Situated a 10 minute (10km) drive from Schull the location is ideal to immerse yourself in all the sea and the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer (swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing) and enjoy the West Cork walking trails, including Barleycove Beach and Mizen Head.

Get away from it all and come to our relaxing haven by the sea. Enjoy sitting out while having your breakfast (if the weather allows) and all you will hear is the sound of the waves and the birds. Stroll down to the bottom of the garden where you can pop in for a dip or enjoy a longer swim. Bring your own kayaks, or explore the area on bikes whatever you fancy. Go kayaking with seals in adrigole, picnic on the beach, or take long winter strolls! Or maybe just watch Netflix and relax !

Shepherds Hut overlooking Kilmackilogue Harbour

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Dun Oir Den

Planning a tranquil escape while taking in breathtaking views. Imagine waking up to see the sun rise over Bantry Bay or sit outside having a glass of wine as the sun sets. The the Dun-Oir Den is your destination. It is a hill walker and mountaineer's dream as there are short hikes or longer treks to the top of mountain peaks which look over the beautiful Bantry & Dunmanus Bays. Come and enjoy fresh air, mountain walks and magical trails on the beautiful Sheeps Head Way.

Waterfall lodge is a 100 year old stone built cottage, full of old world charm, with all the mod cons. It is on the Sheep's Head Peninsula, with both mountain and sea views. And with your own waterfall right beside the house, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity it brings. A 5 minute walk down the mountain brings you to a roadside beach where you can watch the sun go down. Whether its a romantic getaway or a few days of mindfulness, you won't be disappointed.

Mount Kid Cottage is off the beaten path near the stunning Wild Atlantic Way route. Secluded and tranquil, we are 90 minutes minutes from Cork Airport, 2 hours west of Cork city and a 15 min DRIVE from Ballydehob. Surrounded by working farms on 4 acres; an oasis of trees and home to a variety of bird life.
