Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Looking for a relaxing lake vacation? Our studio home is directly on the water with docks to offer for guest use during warm months. Great fishing spot with included kayaks and seasonal pontoon boat to explore on the lake. Our gas fireplace on the deck provides amazing memories and relaxation. Gas grill, outdoor furniture, clean space to swim between docks, and so on! Wifi, streaming networks, and board games provided in home! Close to Culver Academies (18 min/10 mi), Lake Maxinkuckee (13 min/7.4 mi), Lake Manitou (27 min/16 mi), and the historic Tippecanoe River (5 min/3.5 mi to Germany Bridge or 5 min/1.6 mi to Aubbeenaubbee Landing in Leiters Ford). We keep our prices low for 2 people, so please note that while we have space for up to 6 guests, each additional guest will incur small additional charges.

The basement offers a game room with pool table & shuffle board, TV/Media Room, and a 4th bedroom. This home is the perfect spot for a private getaway, but close enough to local attractions.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. "Barn" turned into a guesthouse on 4 acres of owners residential property where you will enjoy peace and quiet, take a walk on trails through 2 acres of woods, take a short drive to Lake Michigan or the Indiana Dunes National Park or just sit inside at an electric fireplace. We are located 5.9 miles (approximately 12 minutes) from the Dunes National Park. Second STR available on same property that also sleeps 5 people if you have a group!

Cozy Cottage on Bass Lake

Relax and play on an all sport lake. Host offers to guests a variety of bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, linking water floats, onsite parking, fire pit, yard games and board games. Guests are welcome to bring their own water toys, jet skies, and boats. We have parking for one trailer. Guests to bring own tie down systems as there is no space on the pier. We have a private ramp or there is access to a public ramp. We encourage guests to research Bass Lake. Owners live in the main house.

Cabin by the Creek

This little cabin sits on the creek side with a deck overlooking the creek. You will have a woods on one side, and farm animals on the other. It is as peaceful as it gets. Enjoy the feeling and atmosphere of camping with a crackling fire in the fire pit, enjoy a s'more or 2, & a cozy queen bed to sleep in at night. It has a loft that can fit an older child or preteen to sleep. If you love camping and farm animals this is the place for you. It’s the peace you have been looking for!

Welcome to The Lakehouse & Cabana on beautiful Bass Lake, IN. Step in to our cozy home for a relaxing stay, taking in all the views of calming waters and nature on display. A weekend getaway, or maybe a little longer stay, this location offers the perfect escape for rejuvenation. Enjoy a bonfire to warm up an evening gathering, while sipping on some hot cocoa. If fishing is on your list of favorite activities, our cove allows for a great catch!

Rustic Lodge -Oak Tree Lodge

The Oak Tree Lodge is located in a country setting and offers a private lodge with an outdoor area for relaxing and entertaining. The former barn structure has been beautifully transformed in a rustic and comfortable lodge to rest, relax, and renew. We have renewed it into a fresh new life - as a lodge to invite friends and guests to enjoy and relax. The listed rate is for four people, and additional quests will be $25.00 per person.
