This peaceful property is minutes from the Hawthorne Valley Farm store, 20 minutes to the world-class food and vintage mecca of Hudson, and 30 minutes from the culture and history of Tanglewood, Jacobs PIllow and the Berkshires. For recreation there is hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, or cross-country, downhill or snowshoeing during the snowy months. Hawthorne is a 2-hour drive from NYC or a 2-hour Amtrak ride from Penn Station to Hudson, and then a 20 minute drive by car or taxi. The house is conveniently close to the Taconic Parkway, while set in a peaceful and quiet valley.

Located 1.5 miles from the turnpike exit for easy travel, 3 miles from Laurel lake, walking distance to a public golf course and downtown Lee where you will find great restaurants. There is Cable internet that is fast and reliable if you have to work.

Our 10-year old open, airy house is, located in a woodsy clearing. The hard-pack roads are well-kept year 'round. Private lakes are clean. Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow are nearby. Ski in winter. Hike state parks or Appalachian trail. We require that our guests and members of the party to be in the guest house verify vaccination against the COVID-19 virus; or documented test results of "negative" in 3 days or less from the check-in date.

GreenHouse is the guest cottage for the historic Hyde House which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
