Positioned at the foot of the farm, this charming ‘cottage’ accommodates up to 8 guests in two queen en-suite rooms plus a loft, which sleeps 4 in single beds with en-suite bathroom and a 'loo with a view' plus air-conditioning. A fully fitted kitchen plus lounge/dining area with log fireplace and TV are provided. A large covered patio with a braai overlooks a sparkling private pool, beyond which shimmers a panoramic view of the three majestic mountain ranges which enclose the Tulbagh Valley.

Secluded Off-Grid Mountain Cottage

Private stand-alone cottage on a beautiful farm 1.5 hours north of Cape town and 30-40 minutes from Elands Bay. This is a very simple, off-grid, self-catering cottage with beautiful mountain views, a dam to swim in and hiking access to the entire 2000 hectare farm. The farm has established hiking and mountain biking trails, horse riding on request and established sport and trad rock climbing routes. The cottage has two fireplaces, a gas stove, fridge, a 'donkey' water heater and solar power.

Grysklip High Mountain Stone Cottage, Cederberg

This grey-stone cottage is built against a rock face which is a dramatic back wall for the interior. All the stone used for the walls was collected nearby, so the cottage disappears into the landscape. The views are spectacular in every direction. The interior is cosy with wooden floors and Cape furniture and Himalayan textiles. There are two 3/4 beds. The bathroom has a shower set against the rock-face, and there is a wonderful double outdoor bath.

You can wonder around the farm or visit many interesting places in town, or hike up 22 Waterfalls or Groot Winterhoek Reserve

Fever Tree Cottage is a secluded one bedroom garden cottage on a private property in Riebeeck Kasteel, a mere 50 meters from the town centre. The main property is on a dirt road, overlooks a farm dam and magnificent mountain views. The cottage is private, quiet and set in a lovely tranquil bird-filled garden. It is so close to town, that you can walk anywhere. Retreat to the quiet garden cottage after a day of shopping, eating and exploring.
