Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. This property has a queen bed and a sofa sleeper & is conveniently located close to the Redwood Nat’l Forest Visitor Center, just 1 block away from the beach, making it easy to enjoy a day in the forest or by the ocean. We are also only 1/2 mile from the lighthouse & a few blocks from the aquarium, both of which are popular attractions in the area. Looking for even more adventure, kayak down the Smith River!

We have chickens, a koi pond, fruit trees, and are surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. Just outside your door you will find a manicured 3-acre blissful escape from the hustle of life. Explore old growth redwood stumps, watch birds and pollinators work in the sun, and close your eyes to absorb the sound of the waterfall at the pond. Pick fresh berries or fruit when it is in season, and enjoy soaking up the peace.

Gayle's Garden Cottage

A tiny house cottage set in a garden amongst the redwoods, surrounded by rhodies, maples, birch and apple trees. Beautiful in all seasons. The cottage is foam insulated and thus very quiet for a good night's sleep. I use fragrance free detergent on linens. The queen bed (3 layers of high density memory foam mattresses) is in a loft, accessible by an angled loft ladder with handhold cutouts (not suitable for infants or children). Nema 14-50 plug available.

The beaches, Redwood forest trails, and grocery stores are within a five-mile radius. This home is a guesthouse that sits about 50 feet off the back of the main house. There is currently a shared yard that is not fully fenced.
