Sunny Black Mountain Cottage 18 min to Asheville

Welcome to this beautiful and inspired mountain home. Located in a quiet spot in Black Mountain, NC, this home is the definition of quiet luxury. Bordered on two sides of the house by wooded areas, sit on the second story balcony and enjoy birds singing. We are located approximately a 10 min walk from Lake Tomahawk and a 15-20 min walk to the edge of downtown Black Mountain (pace dependent). Asheville is about a 18 min drive. Fenced yard for kids and pups. Up to two pups welcome with a $75 fee.

We provide a private space to relax and enjoy the sounds and sights of our quiet neighborhood. You will love our location - great hiking and swimming holes in Montreat (just a 5 minute drive), walking distance to the golf course, Lake Tomahawk and downtown Black Mountain, a 15 minute drive to Asheville and 50 minutes to skiing.

Scout’s Den Cottage, very close to Black Mountain.

Welcome to Scout's Den! A cozy retreat walkable to all of Black Mountain's amazing restaurants and shopping. This adorable garden studio is separate from the main house and has a carport with space for one vehicle. This is truly an escape! With no internet we encourage our guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and our small town charm. We do have a TV with a Super Nintendo and DVD player if you feel like staying in. We live on the property full time with our family.

The RhodoDen

As its name suggests, The RhodoDen is a cozy 1974 Airstream Argosy nestled among the rhododendron of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set along a trickling creek with a bonfire ring and a view of nearby Watch Knob, this is "glamping" at its finest. RhodoDen provides an idyllic place to relax, and is a great basecamp for hiking adventures, dining and nightlife in Asheville and Black Mountain, both of which are only 15 minutes away. Plus we are pet friendly! Update 3/24: We built a roof!

The Roost- A tiny home in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Inspired by the Iroquoi longhouse and Ryan’s off-the-grid childhood, The Roost is a rustic arched tiny home, framed with birch saplings. High atop a ridge, you can enjoy year-round views of the mountains from the porch. Hike up the ridge or cozy up by the wood stove with a book. Grill out, start a campfire or just relax in the hammock. Nightlife, food, coffee and breweries in Asheville and Black mountain are 15 minutes away. It's an hour to Great Smokey Mountains National Park!

Creekside Getaway is a newly renovated space in an older home located in a safe, established, wooded neighborhood. Our 300 sqft basement studio (one open room) apartment is perfect for friendly couples, small groups, & young families who are looking for a cozy place to land after the day's adventures. We are 2.2mi to downtown Black Mountain & 23min drive to downtown Asheville. Surrounded by an abundance of nature, mature trees, & wildlife including bears.

Moments from downtown Black Mountain and 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, our space is perfect for those guests planning on visiting either town (or both!) The rental is a finished basement apartment below our main living space. It has a private entrance, so you might not see us at all-- unless you're looking for local recommendations (which we're happy to give) or to borrow a board game from our extensive collection!
