Kalou, Eco Escape at Goodwood

Kalou, is a unique bolthole lovingly hand-built from reclaimed materials during lockdown. Previously sited elsewhere, the cabin has recently been upgraded to a more sustainable way of living, off-grid, and now surrounded by seamless views of tranquility and peace, nature and spectacular sunsets. Local wildlife treats include sheep, cows, displays by pheasants, random hare playing, deer running by, and potential sightings of owls. A truly unique getaway with easy access to the South Downs Way.

Hand built by myself & Granny Mongolia, the Yurt is a mix of traditional Mongolian design & bohemian chic. As you enter the yurt you will instantly notice a sense of calm & grounding, an ideal retreat from a hectic lifestyle. Surrounded by countryside, the yurt is home to many Mongolian artefacts gifted to me by Granny Mongolia. It features a charcoal bbq & stove. A separate bedroom with double bed, ensuite shower, log burner and storage/hanging space

A tranquil retreat for two, Salterns Loft is a first-floor apartment equipped to a high standard. It is accessed through a separate entrance and up a spiral staircase. The large open-plan living area has a fully fitted kitchen and bi-fold doors opening onto a Juliet Balcony with great views over an extensive garden to Chichester Harbour, Tournerbury Woods and the South Downs beyond. The airy bedroom has a king-size bed with en-suite bathroom featuring walk-in shower and double sink.

The original railway carriages remain and you will sleep 'first class' under their bowed ceilings! In addition a modern kitchen provides all you need to prepare your catch of the day and a open plan lounge allows space to kick back and relax.
