Badsfontein`s Old Farmhouse, is for more than six generations in the family. Four bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms and sleep 9 persons. Free wi-fi. Herdershuisie at Waterval Farmstay

The name of the unit derives from the days when it was a shepherd’s house. In the evenings, the shepherd would bring the sheep to the kraal before returning to his dwelling nearby. We started to renovate the unit early in July 2017, with the aim of keeping its rustic look whilst still providing all the comforts needed for an exceptional stay on the farm. The front door of the unit overlooks the kraal where the sheep still sleep in the evening, providing unparalleled views of the starry skies.

Geco Casetta - Self-Catering Cottage

Our comfortable self-catering cottage is situated on a farm, 30km from Graaff-Reinet. The thick walls are great insulators and keep the cottage warm in winter and cool in summer. There are two bedrooms and two additional single beds in the living area. Braai facilities are available out on a deck which also provides incredible views over the Tandjiesberg mountains and a farm dam with roaming springbuck. It is truly a break-away location. The sunrises are an added treat for the early birds.

Enjoy some relaxing and tranquil days in our beautiful and spacious Khoisan Cottage, situated just outside Nieu Bethesda in the foothills of the majestic Sneeuberg Range, sixty kilometres north of Graaff-Reinet in the Karoo Heartland. While staying you can enjoy going on one of the 5 hiking and biking routes, do some guided tours to Rock art and fossil talks, medicinal walk etc.

Sympathetically renovated, it is an old building replete with original features such as yellow wood floors, thick walls and large garden. 2 double beds, 1 king/twin bed, all en suite, a further bunk room off main bedroom, kitchen, large veranda, outdoor firepit. Note: Please note the garage fits a Fortuner-size vehicle. Please note 1 bedroom+bathroom is in restored outbuilding accessed through French doors from main house through courtyard.

Stay in one of two rustic cottages on a beautiful, working farm in the Sneeuberg mountains. These cottages are best suited to families who will enjoy connecting with farm life. Go for a long mountain walk or sit on a rock and listen to all the sounds in the silence. We also offer Family Constellations Therapy sessions and workshops for groups. Individuals travelling out of season can ask about reduced rates.
