Overlook the tranquil pond from this welcoming, wooden retreat with patterned Italian tiles and grand cathedral ceilings. The space is cozy with a mix of finishes. A bit of rustic and a bit of classic. Out the back , overlooking the field is a patio space that is accessible for your use, weather permitting. We have snacks and basics for meal preparation. Breakfast stuff such as eggs, muffins, and oatmeal. The kitchen is stocked for guest use. You're welcome to enjoy the pond and picnic area. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with routes of differing ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities. There's a bus stop in Woodstock if you don't drive and taxi service from there. It's fine if you plan to stay in, but if you want to get around to other places it's best to drive. We have a several flyers and local magazines in the foyer for ideas on where to go and what to see. On the door are the basic guidelines and on the desk is a binder of information on local restaurants, stores, ect... If you need other resources please feel free to ask. It is just 20 minutes to Hudson or Rhinebeck, and 35 minutes to skiing. In warmer months there are hiking trails all around. Amtrak stops in Rhinecliff 25 minutes away and Hudson 20 minutes.
