Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Jordan River Cabin

All the comforts of a modern cabin in our newly built "Jordan River Cabin" nestled amongst 3 acres of tall evergreens with floor to ceiling window views. Fire up the BBQ on the wrap around deck. Wood stove comes supplied with kindling & firewood. Open concept, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Fresh towels & linens for 2 king size bedrooms & 2 rain shower bathrooms, a huge soaker bathtub upstairs, a hot outdoor rain shower + wood fired cedar hot tub & a newly added meditation deck!

SuiteVista

SuiteVista is close to Beautiful Mill Hill Park in a quiet neighborhood with a view of mountains and mighty trees. Just a 30 min walk or 6 min drive to Goldstream (the heart of Langford). Royal Roads University is only a 15 min bike ride away. The evenings are so peaceful here. During the day you hear the neighboring sounds sometimes but still peaceful most of the time. SuiteVista was just renovated. SuiteVista has its own laundry room and an electric fireplace. WiFi, Cable and Parking included.

Pink Dogwood - Cozy retreat min to YYJ & BC Ferry

NEW! Mindfully built, this charming retreat is located in a quiet, rural setting on the beautiful Saanich Peninsula. With a king bed, Smart TV /cable, private patio, in-suite laundry, and kitchenette amenities, this gem is located within minutes of several beaches for sunset picnics, or kayaking adventures. Only 10 min from YYJ and 5 min to the BC Ferries, this is an ideal location for an early departure or island trips. This retreat has a network of hiking and walking trails at its doorstep.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Cowichan Bay View Getaway

Take a break to unwind in beautiful Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island - about a 40 minute drive from Victoria BC. Our renovated (in June 2023) suite is at the end of a no-through road and is only a 5-10 minute walk into the village to a fabulous, organic craft bakery, artisan shops, restaurants, a museum, a pub, a small grocery/liquor store and a popular ice cream/candy store. (Seasonal) kayak/paddle-board rentals & whale watching excursions for hire. Cowichan District Hospital 15 min drive.

1 Bedroom Suite w/1 Breakfast Included

The kitchen will be stocked with the following food items (guests must prepare the food): - Two (2) organic eggs per guest - Two (2) pc whole wheat bread per guest - Juice/Tea/Coffee/Milk/Creamer - Jam & Peanut Butter - Oatmeal - Miscellaneous Pantry items (popcorn/soup/etc.) Walking distance to Sidney (1.5km to town/1 km to the oceanfront) and the Victoria International Airport (2.2km) NOTE: Persons with mobility concerns may have a difficult time getting in and out of the primary bed.

Step Inn Stones is a delightful, private entry suite located in the quaint Historical Village of Cowichan Bay, BC. Located on a no-through road above the village with a beautiful ocean view for a tranquil getaway, we are a five-minute walk to fine dining, shops, pubs, marinas and more. Our newly renovated suite has a small kitchenette, bar counter with a view, new comfy queen sized bed, seating for relaxing, reading and TV watching and a bathroom with heated floors and a rain head shower.

Kinsol Cottage Escape

Rest, Relax and Rejuvenate!!! This peaceful rural cottage is nestled in the forest among a cluster of cabins on the Koksilah River. BBQ or soak in the hot tub on the private deck or explore the area. Swim in the river only steps away or stroll to the historic Kinsol Trestle Bridge. A short drive will take you to the wineries, golf courses, parks, whale watching tours, horse trails and much more. The cottage is centrally located to explore Shawnigan Lake, Cowichan Bay, Duncan or Victoria.

The Sea Nest - Your Ocean Retreat

The Sea Nest - A welcoming oasis for all is located within Colwood, part of Greater Victoria. (Provincial Registration # H420984100. Municipal Licence # 5533.) A beautiful studio and patio with its own private entrance. It is 15 to 20 minutes from Victoria and is on a bus route. Walk 1/2 a block to a 3 Km beach, look across at Victoria and the Olympic Mountains and you may see otters and whales. Across Esquimalt Lagoon, a bird sanctuary, is Dunsmuir castle, part of Royal Roads University.
