The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. The slow monday sits on the edge of protected forest (a cassowary corridor) just a stroll from the beach. A modern take on the classic Australian beach shack, the house is designed for the Queensland tropics. There are two pavilions, one for living and the other for sleeping, all with large glass sliding doors that open up to let the environment in.

Birdwing Hut in the Rainforest

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Litoria Mission Beach 2 bedroom

Litoria is a pavilion home tucked against reserve, about 150m from the beach. You’ll love Litoria’s breezeway and living pod that opens to capture the sea breezes. With 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and a fully fenced yard, Litoria provides the perfect getaway for couples or small families (including the furry kind). Kids love the free splash pad, skate park and playground (5–10min walk away) and the free access to the aquatic centre. Ask us about our free pool passes!

Perched high on a hill only 1 minute to Millaa Millaa town, and 4 minutes to Millaa Millaa waterfall, this 3 bedroom cottage home is conveniently located close to all the tourist attractions the area has to offer.

Mena Creek Flower House, "The Birdsnest"

Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

Bingil Bay Getaway

Adjoined by rainforest, our place is handily positioned between beautiful Bingil Bay Beach (200m) and the wonderful Bingil Bay Café (200m). The accommodation is the bottom part of a large Queenslander house with access to the pool and extensive gardens. With its own access and carport you are completely self sufficient but we are available to lend you bicycles or point you to the walking tracks. Be active or do nothing, we are private but not remote.

Beachside Retro shack

This rare find is a fully self-contained beach shack with heaps of character on a large private block. Just a 100 meter stroll to beautiful South Mission Beach and close access to coastal walking tracks and rainforest trails. Our simple, comfy retro shack has everything you need for a chilled out beachside stay. You can even bring your boat, there's plenty of room for a boat trailer on our block and river and beach boat ramps close by.
