We are available if you need us but we will leave you to enjoy Watling House in peace! The house sits in the quiet village of Bridge, around three miles from historic Canterbury. The village is a great base for country walks in the Kent Downs, with plenty of local pubs for pit stops, or visits into Canterbury for its vibrant nightlife. Bus Services to Canterbury, Dover and the surrounding villages. Train service from Canterbury to London, Dover and Whitstable. Why visit Watling House... - Fantastic walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty - Lots of local amenities on your doorstep - three village pubs, local shop, butchers and a frequent bus service into Canterbury (approx 10 mins). - Close to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Visit the Cathedral, Canterbury Tales and the historic city walls. - You can nip up to London on the UK's first highspeed service from Canterbury West (approx 55 mins) or a day trip to France (approx 20 mins from the Port of Dover and the Channel Crossing). We haven't been able to list all of the great things to do in the area but can always tell you more... we would recommend a trip to one of the local Kentish vineyards for some famous English Fizz!

Stay in a piece of Kent history! 500 year old Grade II-listed Tudor Cottage in quaint Ivy Lane. A quiet historic lane in the Old Town conservation area. Romantic Tudor Cottage is both traditional with many original features and beams, as well as contemporary in the styling and high quality architect restoration. Comfortable with all mod cons and essentials. Few mins walk to all the history, culture, entertainment, food scene, river beauty spots and shopping of gorgeous Canterbury. Enjoy!

Relax, with the whole family at this peaceful and spacious property that is situated in the Kent Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With Netflix and Super King bed . Within walking distance to Bekesbourne train station, which is a main line service from London Victoria. Close to A2 on which you can reach Canterbury city centre with in 8min, London 60 min, 29 min to Eurotunnel and 27 min to Dover ferry. This is the perfect place for cycling, a family holiday or weekend getaway with friends.

Little Appleby

Dog friendly Little Appleby is located in Egerton, rural Kent. The heart of the Garden of England. Egerton boasts many lovely country walks with the villages of Goudhurst, Sissinghurst (with its own castle), Biddenden and Pluckley all within 30 minutes. Famous Leeds Castle and Bedgebury pinetum, the largest in the world are less than 10 miles away. Historic Rye, Canterbury, Whitstable and the channel tunnel to France are all within 40 minutes. Ashford Designer outlet is 30 minutes away.

Sparrow’s Nest Cottage

Fully refurbished in 2022, Sparrow’s Nest Cottage is set alongside a Victorian house and has picturesque views of the rolling North Downs. The cottage is right on the North Downs/Pilgrim’s Way and is 6 miles from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. The quintessential Kent village of Chilham is nearby, with the coast at Whitstable only a 30 minute drive away. There are great walks, lovely gardens, brilliant historical sites and excellent restaurants all within easy reach.

The Annexe - Optional Hot Tub - Nr Dover

Our home and Annexe is situated just off the main road in the village of Lydden where we are surrounded by a National Nature Reserve and have access to beautiful walks on the chalk downlands and the Whitecliffs of Dover Coastal Walk is also close by. The village of Lydden has good transport links being adjacent to the A2 connecting Dover to London and within the easy reach the High Speed rail route to London St Pancras, Dover ferry port and the Eurotunnel.

Simple yet cosy two bedroom annex we affectionately call The Little House. A few updates needed, but full of character and comfort. Allocated parking on private drive Kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle & Toaster (No freezer) Small bathroom with over bath shower Mezzanine double bedroom upstairs Small single bedroom downstairs off of the main living area.
