  • Andy's Amazing Eight Waterfalls
Andy's Amazing Waterfalls Walk is a 15km day with 400m of ascent and is over often rough, muddy and broken ground but doable by most although some feel pretty tired at the end of the day. We visit eight waterfalls of note and several smaller falls too. One of the waterfalls is available to walk behind as that is where the footpath takes us! Andy has been delivering walks at this location for over thirty years and his knowledge of the area, it's industrial heritage and it's natural environments, will be his to share with you as you take in the best valley walks in Brecon Beacons National Park! Lilly said 'Andy is simply an amazing person! He’s an excellent guide, delivering amazing outdoor activities in Wales. Being new to Wales, joining Andy’s tours has been for me a great opportunity to get to know Wales. The 8 waterfalls walk is wonderfully led by Andy whose expertise perfectly matches with the beauty of the place.' Andy is assisted on this walk by Kate who is a keen walker and has been joining Wales Outdoors on many adventures since 2017. Other things to note We may change the route to suit conditions on the day but you'll always see a good few waterfalls :) Dogs are very welcome Walking boots please Warm layers and waterproofs essential You'll need a good packed lunch We don't cancel due to weather unless it is unsafe to drive

  • Hike Pen-y-fan in the Brecon Beacons
Let me take you on a walk to the highest and most iconic mountain location in Southern Britain, Pen-y-fan. This mountain lies in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, an area of immense beauty, rich in wildlife and history. Once arriving at the National Park you will proceed on your walk, all the time receiving interesting information about the wildlife and history of the area, whilst marvelling at the unfolding scenery around you. When you arrive at the top the views will take your breath away as you look for miles in every direction. We will then head back down the mountain via a different route, passing scenic valleys, glacial lakes and historical monuments. I will then take you back to your accommodation where you can rest and gaze at your amazing pictures from the day. Other things to note: This walk requires a reasonable level of fitness. Participants should be comfortable walking uphill for an hour, on rocky paths. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for hiking, ideally hiking boots The total duration of the walk including transport from the Cardiff area is approximately 5 hours

  • Walk the magical 4 waterfalls valley
Let us show you this place of immense beauty. This 5.5 mile guided walk/hike along rocky paths takes you along riverside scenery, with steep sided wooded valleys and four breath-taking waterfalls. In a National Park renowned for its sweeping, barren, high altitude scenery, mountain lovers are in danger of missing out on this hidden gem. This beautiful valley, where 4 stunning waterfalls are within a relatively short walk of each other is a truly unique location like no other in the UK. The highlight of the area is 'Sgwd yr Eira' waterfall, where you'll venture right behind the gushing torrent of water, a truly unique and memorable experience that you won't forget.

  • Sirhowy Valley E Bike Tour
Our E bike experience will allow you to explore the beautiful scenery and history of the Sirhowy Valley area with the amazing power of our pedal assisted electric mountain bikes. After an introduction to the E bikes and instruction on how to use them, when everyone is comfortable and happy with their bike we set off on our adventure. We will start out on quiet lanes heading down to the 17th century Mill at Gelligroes and learn about it's fascinating history and association with the Titanic! From here we join the cycle route travelling down the Sirhowy valley for a few leisurely miles before a short climb up into the forest with spectacular views of the valley below and Twmbarlwm (ancient iron age fort) on the hillside opposite. We then enjoy the descent down to the park in Crosskeys followed by a short section on a quiet road and pavement before joining a hidden gem of ride on an undulating track through forest and ancient woodland. Finally we climb back to the top of Mynyddislwyn passing the medieval St Tudor's church then cruise back down to Ty Coppi, for a well earned hot drink and cake and we can share our stories and photos of the day - you will be leaving with a new perspective of the area , new friends and an ebike on your wish list ! The E bikes make it all good fun, they are Eco Friendly The terrain is tarmac lanes, gravel forest roads .
