Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Welcome to my cabin, set in the garden. Access to the cabin is through the side gate into the garden. Sleeps 2 on a double bed. Attached to my house, separate from the cabin, is the convenient use of your own downstairs shower room/toilet & kitchen area. Cabin is also a games room so guests have use of table tennis, football table, dart board and games. Just updated (May 2026)- new 65” smart TV. Portable AIRCON unit. Parking is in the road just outside the house.

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Rowhedge is a pretty riverside village, just 15 minutes drive from Colchester and Essex University and 40 minutes from Harwich. Woodbine House is located on a quiet street, with access to a large recreation ground and children's play park. There are plenty of lovely walks close by through the woods or alongside the River Colne or Roman River. The riverfront is a short walk down the hill.
