First bedroom has queen bed with a chest of drawers and a smart-tv. 2nd bedroom had a full bed. Living area has a pull out twin size futon. An air mattress is available. Enjoy great fishing, swimming or just grilling out and sitting on the dock. It’s a great getaway for couples or small families, or for Radford graduation or VA Tech games/graduation.

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.
