Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Situated halfway between Moonta Bay jetty where you will find splash town and ye old cafe. Heading south is Port Hughes jetty with the beautiful South Beach and the general store.

The Luxurious Entertainment Room has 6 metre high walls with 8 metre high curved metal ceilings and table for eight people to sit around and comfortable lounge chairs. The seperate lounge and outdoor areas provide spaces for everyone to relax and enjoy them selves . There is also a bar under the mezzanine floor, in the entertainment room .

We only hire the place to one group at a time, so only share with your friends. Right in the center of town it is ideal to spend time together, Suitable for a family reunions or even a church camp. Enjoyed as a school camp venue, business events or seminars with a difference.
