The area itself has a small range of amenities close-by, including a shop, restaurants, pubs, and a pharmacy, with large supermarkets just 5 minutes’ drive away. All distances are walkable, but you might need a taxi if you are tired from a fun day out, as the road home is slightly uphill.

No wifi in the cabin but mobile phone reception is great, unless you’re Voda phone but a short stroll along the lane will pick up voda phone.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.
