Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

This cozy log home sits next to the creek in downtown Cumberland Gap. Walking distance to all the town shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Large, peaceful covered porch with a swing makes for a relaxing stay. Full kitchen with basic cooking necessities, dishes, coffee pot/ living room with tv/ two bedrooms (one room has a queen bed, the other has a full bed)/bathroom, and Wi-Fi access.

This property has direct access to ATV routes to get you into the mountains with no trailering required! over 140,000 acres with endless miles of ATV trails just waiting to be explored. Our beautiful home is located on Cherokee Lake in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Sleeps 4-5. This unit is one of three different homes that sit together on a quiet 1-acre lot with boat dock shared by all three units (all are Airbnb rentals). The home features a kitchenette with hot plate, tons of decking, a grill, and a heck of a view. :)
