Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast - Rose Room

This guest favorite features a king bed and a private sitting area with accent chairs and a TV. Originally the bedroom of the Ewing twins, whose family arrived in Carlisle in 1849, was papered with the present rose design in the 1930's. The wide plank yellow pine floorboards and the original pocket-shutters are small parts of the history that remains. It is a spacious first floor unit with large rooms and high ceilings filled tastefully with vintage American furniture. The condominium is a short three block walk to downtown Lewes with its excellent restaurants and shops, and a 5-10 minute drive to the beaches of Delaware Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and Cape Henlopen State Park.

Paradise Amish Guesthouse

The Paradise Amish Guesthouse is located on a typical Amish family rural property in central Lancaster County. John & Sarah have 5 children aged 12 & up. There are horses & chickens, as well as a large vegetable garden out back. A tour of the property may be available if time allows (please ask if interested). There will be other opportunities for interaction depending on the length of your stay, time of year & the family schedule.
