Bright-Lit Loft in the Trees, Minutes to Lake & Restaurants

Wake up to natural light and play music on a stereo while you enjoy your morning coffee. Go for a run by the town lake trail and enjoy the emerging dining scene in East Austin. Get around with an easy uber/scooter ride or enjoy free street parking. Proceeds from this property contributes to Texas wind energy and the Trail Foundation. This is a brand new loft space built as a garage apartment on the 2nd floor. Its large windows overlooks our neighborhood with lot of big trees and the historic moon tower. There are 3 beds in total - 1 queen in the bedroom downstairs, and 2 twin beds in the loft space that is accessible by climbing up the ladder. Soft sheets and plenty of towels available for your use. The space has a fully equipped kitchen with french press, electric kettle, and basic cooking essentials. Iron, hair dryer and curling iron get you ready for your conference or night out. Washer/dryer there to dry those swim suits after a last swim at Barton Springs before flying home. If you have kids, we have kids stuff you can borrow (upon request). We live in the front house on the same property; so we're a text/call/sometimes steps away if you have questions or need help. Even though it's on the same property, the space has a completely separate private entrance. The location is what most guests love above the space (based on all the reviews!) We are mins away from the best (in our opinions) Texas BBQ and breakfast tacos in Austin; a hip convenient store (Quickie Pickie) to grab your morning coffee, a drink for happy hour, or late night snacks; and a hike and bike trail by the lake for your morning run. We are about a $5-7 Uber/Lyft ride to downtown and Austin Convention Center. Check out our guidebook for all our recommendations! As much or as little as you want! The loft is in the East Austin Holly neighborhood. It's walking distance to the hike and bike trail by the lake, a few restaurants, and a corner store just two blocks away. Beyond Uber/Lyft, there are also a number of dockless bikes/scooters options available to easily get around. Our place is walking distance to tons of restaurants, bars, and cafes. We're minutes away from East Cesar Chavez, Rainey St, and the Town Lake Trail. We have several bike/scooter sharing options in Austin - all of which are very accessible by our location: - B-cycle (docked bikes at station) - Pace (dockless bikes) - Jump (dockless pedal-assist electric bikes) - Lime (dockless scooters) If you need to go further, there are ride share services such as Lyft and Ride Austin. You can also rent a car by the minute and drop it off at your destination with car2go. If you don't already have a car2go membership, you'll need to register ahead of time and pick up a card from them in order to unlock the car. There's a keypad lock so checking in and out should be a breeze!

Set in a great location in East Austin, this guesthouse is surrounded by nice neighbors and new homes. It's a short walk to some of the city's best healthy food, coffee, award-winning food trucks, and bars. There is parking for one car right next to the house. Some guests have found it convenient to have a car to get to Zilker Park or the grocery store. This location is a bit too far to walk to 6th St. but it can be done in 45 min. It is a short 10 min ride share, 20 min bus (2 stops within blocks of house take you downtown) or 20 min bike ride to 6th St. downtown area. Located 1 mile east of UT football, 1/2 mile to UT baseball stadium, 3/4 mile to UT aquatic center, easy (no hills!) walk to UT. The guest house is located behind the main house, which is also a full time, licensed, Airbnb rental home. I let my guests know know if there are renters in the main house, so all know who else may be on the property during your stay. There are private entrances for each property and each home is a free-standing home.

Charming Chestnut Carriage House in East Austin

Everything’s within reach at this contemporary carriage house featuring vibrant wood floors, trendy furnishings, and heaps of natural light. Brew coffee in a snug kitchen with marble surfaces and have a seat on the balcony overlooking the yard. This carriage house is great for a long term stay or a staycation! Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. The carriage house has been professionally cleaned using CDC recommended guidelines. The builders of this space spared no expense on the details and finishes of this property. It is exquisite! The private entrance makes it feel like your own slice of Austin. Speaking of slices: check out East Side Pies for pizza nearby and The Wheel, Whislers, or Kitty Cohen’s for a cocktail! The Mueller development is 2 miles away where the H-E-B grocery store is located if you’re looking to cook your own meals in the kitchen. Guest access is through the right-side fence gate while facing the main house on property from the street. Access codes will be provided upon booking. The carriage house includes a balcony patio that guests may use. We’re available when you need us and you can also have all the privacy you like. We’ll gladly give you suggestions of things to see and do in Austin. The home is set in the East Austin neighborhood of Chestnut and a short drive away from vibrant eateries, BBQ joints, brewpubs, and parks. The University of Texas is nearby and Downtown’s iconic music venues and nightlife are minutes away by car. The MLK, Jr. Red Line light rail station is a short 8min walk from the unit and can be used to get into downtown or to AustinFC soccer games! Uber or Lyft are recommended to get around Austin. You can usually find one of the scooters 🛴 down the street near MLK Blvd as well. If you have a personal vehicle or rental car you may use street parking in front of the main home. This studio makes excellent use of the space above our 2-car garage with an elegant bathroom, organic mattress, & butcher block countertops. 2G Google Fiber wifi It's tight for 3 or 4 people.
