Farmstay at Heartwood Homestead forest cottage.

Come farmstay at a homestead at our unique, bespoke, completely private little house, that is totally off-grid and almost fully self sufficient. The homestead farm is tucked away in an indigenous forest and the secluded, comfortable, eco-cottage overlooks the Gonubie River valley a stone's throw from East London, with easy access to East London Airport (King Phalo Airport). You are welcome to take a tour of the farm and systems, harvest your own organic vegetables, or just relax on the deck.

The Beach Cottage

The Beach Cottage is a self-catering cottage on a working dairy farm within walking distance to the beach. It is only 10km from the EL airport and a 20 minute drive into EL. The cottage has beautiful views of the sea as well as of cows grazing on green pastures. It has a fully functional kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh farm milk & rusks are provided on arrival. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Please note, own transport advisable as we are on a farm.

Farmview - The Deck Room

Located on the banks of the upper Nahoon River, Farm View offers accommodation in the quiet suburb of Dorchester Heights in East London. Ideal for short stays, the guest house has self contained suites (self catering) which offer neat modern finishes in comfortable surroundings and boast secure offstreet free parking. The suites have access to an outdoor relaxation area set around a pool and braai area overlooking the river and neighboring farm.

The Wild Fig Cottage

The Wild Fig is a spacious cottage nestled under a magnificent old Fig tree in the lush countryside surroundings of East London. Situated on Emerald Hill Farm, just off the N2 - The Cottage offers a tranquil getaway for singles/couples. Whether it be a romantic getaway, an easily accesible overnight pause for travelers or for a longer term stay due to work projects.

Tucked away just minutes outside East London, our charming tiny home offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature. Surrounded by indigenous bush and overlooking the peaceful dam, it’s a secluded space designed for relaxation and connection. Inside, you’ll find luxurious touches like plush bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a smart TV with Netflix.
