Inspired by the landscape, this beautiful vacation rental is a very clean & well-kept home base for having your best Escalante experience! With attention to detail, and perfectly located in center of town (across from Escalante Outfitters*), it's ideal for being "outward bound from the heart of town".. or a peaceful place for a scenic getaway. Also includes two fold-out couches, and a "Jacuzzi" jetted tub. Note: almost everything is closed on Sundays, except Escalante Outfitters open until 9pm.

Take a walk down to the river, petroglyphs/grainery and say hello to our horses and cows. Our home is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with 2 rollaways for additional sleeping. Full kitchen, bbq and outdoor dining table, fire pit. Max guests 6. The North Creek Grill is just a 2 minute walk next door at the Slot canyons inn.

The Gulch on Hell's Backbone Road

Once known as the Coleman Ranch, The Gulch is a peaceful end-of-the-road destination surrounded by National Forest on Boulder Mountain. Our spacious home sleeps up to 8 guests with 3 bedrooms: a master with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom, upstairs is a second private bedroom with a king bed, and a bunk room with a queen and two twin beds, and a shared bathroom. With quiet trails, and starry skies, The Gulch offers both connection and spaciousness in the heart of Boulder’s wild beauty.

Also- central heat & a/c, 4K Smart TV, Keurig coffee maker, water softener, and comfortable new beds and mattresses. Right on the iconic Highway 12 between Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef.

40 Acre Escalante Canyon Retreat

This river front home tucked in between large cottonwood shade trees with views on all sides of the Escalante Canyon, meadows, cliffs, and river. Hike from the front door to first class scenic wonders. There are natural wonders right out the front door and within an hour's drive. Look for deer and wild turkey in the meadow in the mornings and evenings and watch the cloud shadows change over the canyon walls. Head up or down the canyon into rugged wilderness, and return home to comfort.

Birch Creek House

The Birch Creek House is a 1900sqft, 3 bed, 3.5 bath house on 160 private acres 5 miles outside of the City of Escalante. The house is steps away from its name sake, the Birch Creek, which cascades down 2 waterfalls before joining with North Creek to form the Escalante River. The land borders Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. In addition to the double waterfall mentioned above, the property also features several pictographs, petroglyphs, cliff dwellings of past inhabitants.

Southwest Retreat

The house has wonderful views, is peaceful and comfortable. It is located on the edge of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and is centrally located with easy access to hiking, biking, and exploring. Southwestern Retreat is just a few blocks off Highway 12, an All American Highway, and is located between Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. The house has a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Little Desert Escapes

Relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing in our newly renovated house. Located on the quiet street of Griffin Lane. Our central air will keep you cool and comfortable while you cook dinner in our fully furnished kitchen or you may use the BBQ on the back patio. After dinner you can hang out around the fire pit in the backyard roasting marshmallows, play one of many board games available, or just chill and watch TV in the living room or one of our comfortable bedrooms.

Escalante Casita with Breathtaking Views

The SaltBrush Casita is an art-filled retreat tucked beneath cliffs less than a half mile from the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Enjoy comfort, breathtaking scenery, and solitude within a five-minute drive to Escalante town. Completed in 2025 and built around a great room with a soaring 18-foot ceiling, relax and enjoy the views through enormous windows framing the National Monument and the red cliffs of Boulder Mountain.

The Old Bailey Place

Enjoy a Southern Utah adventure at The Old Bailey Place, a restored 1890 pioneer cabin with up-to-date amenities in the quaint town of Escalante, Utah. Midway between Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef National Parks, and in the middle of Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, The Old Bailey offers an historic connection to the region. You will be within walking distance to restaurants, groceries, outfitting guides and stores.
