My place is located in the heart of the Flower District & a 3 min walk to the Fashion District. With plenty of art galleries, restaurants and shoping areas. A mile away from the Arts District, Little Tokyo, Staple Center, Grand Park, Music Center and many more other great locations. My place is good for couples, solo adventures, business and travelers.
The entire place is yours.
There is plenty of restaurants and bars around the area. The flower place is also 1 block away from the fashion district (Sante Alleys) Also take in mind your are in the city so it can get a bit noisy.
  • Sirce’s place was perfect for my stay. In the heart of the Flower District and within proximity of everything you need in the DTLA area. Sirce was very respectful and made me feel welcome. Would definitely crash at her place again.

  • Sirce was a great host, and very accommodating despite some last minute changes on my part. Whilst the greater area itself felt a little intimidating, the place had a big metal security gate and inside was beautifully furnished with great details such as art, etc. Sirce even provided some lovely extra touches such as amenities included.

I live in a newly-renovated "micro loft" in the historic core of downtown LA. It's a relatively spacious open-space studio with a kitchenette dividing the bedroom area and living room area. I'm also conveniently located a short walk (a block away) from the Pershing Square Red Line station that is a straight shot to the Hollywood and Highland shopping plaza. Actually, almost all public transit, busses, trains, for the entire Los Angeles area come through downtown, so you're sure to find a station nearby to get you to where you need to go. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and entertainment choices to check out in the area; Regal Theaters at LA Live, The MOCA, Bottega Louie, Umami Burger, Pet's Cafe, LA Cafe (24 hour delivery service), The Rooftop At The Ace Hotel, Bar Ama, The Lash, Spring Street Bar, Perch are a few of the many downtown hot spots. • My traveling partner and I had a lovely stay at Diego's... We came to DTLA for a show at a nearby cathedral. We were extremely happy walking around the city and retreating to Diego's comfy cave when needed. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the architecture and appreciated Diego's kind and helpful attitude. What a great trip!

  • We definitely enjoyed our time here. We were walking distance to a lot of cool things & a short uber away from everything else! Diego was a great host. Very friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Sarah2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment and Diego were great and he couldn't do enough to help. The downside to this accommodation is the building, which has a lot of sketchy residents. There were a lot of dodgy characters congregating around the entrance of the building which made you feel very uneasy when returning to the flat, especially at night. I would not recommend this to lone travelers, especially young women and those with a nervous disposition. The flat itself had all the amenities and was tastefully decorated (apart from one of the pictures on the wall, which was covered up in credit to Diego) and it was within walking distance of a lot of the cafes, bars and restaurants. Bed was very comfy, WiFi worked perfectly and plenty to watch on TV.

    Adam2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Diego’s place was perfect for what we needed: centrally located in DTLA and comfortable. He’s also a great host. He responds quickly and keeps the place nice and clean. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy at night, but I felt safe in the apartment. Highly recommend!

  • Very convenient location. Cozy studio and comfortable bed. Around Diego’s place you can find a decent gelato shop (try their olive oil flavour you won’t regret :/) and a really cool book shop with good sci-fi selections. Diego was very easygoing and helpful. Take note that if you travel along and have a gift to easily relate visual elements to horror movies, Diego’s place may not be for you (don’t get me wrong, the decoration was stylish).

    Rx2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Diego’s studio is very chic and felt very spacious. His quick communication was a hallmark feature for me as I have never encountered responses at such a prompt speed. The studio is on the moody, dim lit side which adds a very ambient feel about the space. He also has lights on dimmers scattered throughout the place so you have the option to brighten the space. The bedroom and sheets were very clean. The bathroom was also very clean as this is super important. The main living room was clean and spacious. Diego used Aesop room freshener which added a luxe feel and smell to the place. In the bathroom he had Khiel’s and American crew hair products, again a bonus. The Last Bookstore is located next for Diego’s Apartment! This is a landmark for book lovers. There are plenty of cool eateries on the same street. There’s an amazing Mexican restaurant on the same block. The Starbucks is a block away. Wholefoods is a 10 mins walk. This is a huge bonus of healthy living and eating is your thing. There’s a shopping district past Wholefoods. I highly recommend Diego’s place for a great experience. The area is well suited for adult travellers. It has a super busy nightlife and some harmless ‘sketch’ types loitering around, but that to be expected of big cities with somewhat of a pulse, and L.A. certainly has a happening pulse. I highly recommend Diego’s place!

    Edwin2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 5 nights at digos appartment. The bed is soft & comfy! You have all you need and with uber everything is reachable. diego is a very nice host and answers very quick!

Top floor artsy 1 bedroom loft in Historic Core of DTLA. Modern and comfortable furnishings accommodate up to 4 in popular historic building. Close to many downtown LA attractions and restaurants. Ideal space for travelers as well as locals looking to get away for a weekend.
Great modern furniture in a newly renovated historic loft style building. Less than a mile away from the best attractions in Downtown LA, concrete and loft style design gives this apartment a very exclusive downtown LA vibe. Great view from the rooftop 1-bedroom located on Main and 6th street • Walking distance to some of LA's best restaurants, bars and theaters and a WALKING SCORE of 97! • My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with kids. • 12-15 minute walk to LA Live, 9 minute walk to Bottega Louie, and 15 minute walk to downtown’s Broad Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall and MOCA. • NO PARKING IN THE BUILDING: Besides street parking there is a parking garage just at the corner.
  • Maxim’s apartment is wonderful. The location is amazing! The place is even better than the pictures. Spacious, very clean, cozy and brand new. A delicious hipster loft in Downtown. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Don’t miss it!! Beatriz

  • After reading the descriptions and looking at the photos, I booked two nights here. First off, this place is not located NEAR Skid Row, it is IN Skid Row. I checked in around 9pm, when my friend from East LA dropped me off (he was uncomfortable even parking in front of the location). I lugged my suitcase up the stairwell, and as Juan’s assistant showed me to the dirty room, she moved garbage bag upon garbage bag from the bed where I’d sleep and its surroundings. The guy who was sleeping on the bunk above me kept telling her, “Stop touching my shit! Don’t fucking move my shit!” He continued talking to himself and complaining the whole night and the next morning. This is not a hostel nor a proper Airbnb; this is a place for people who are “between places” to live long-term. I didn’t feel comfortable even opening my suitcase there, not to mention using the shower. I slept with my pepper spray and woke up to a heated conversation about one of the “guests” who had broken someone else’s laptop and had been walking around with a knife. The main area was littered with garbage, the kitchen was nasty, and the people were super sketchy. I didn’t feel safe and would advise all other solo female travelers to refrain from staying here. The space is not properly described and should be taken down from Airbnb’s site. I had to book another place to stay the second night because I didn’t want to be raped or harmed. No one even commented when I went in to grab my stuff and leave. I request a full refund.

  • Two of my girlfriends and I stayed a night here to enjoy DTLA nightlife.  Pros: Spacious Quiet (even though businesses were lively in the morning, did not hear a thing) Hot water for showers Wifi Cons: Difficulty locating lockbox Parking meters don't show how much time is left; Best to park in the parking lot and pay 10$ than risk getting a ticket Area is sketchy at night  Compliments: Locked by three barriers (gate, building's front door, room's front door), makes the Airbnb more secure  Host is VERY responsive to questions  Complaints:  None

Located next to the flower district, warehouse district, fashion district, Skid row & Little Tokyo. Take in the LA skyline views, this place can be an amazing experience for those looking for a taste of what LA living is like as an artist or musician; not always glamorous but always exciting! This is a spacious room you’ll enjoy all to yourself with shared amenities. The private room is located on the 3rd floor of a 1908 built brick 3-story Artist Loft, one parking spot, 420 Friendly!
This building was the location of the original Hard Rock Cafe and where The Doors shot the back album cover for Morrison Hotel in December of 1969. Many films have been shot here, as well as Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” music video!
The area is fascinating. Right on the cusp of Skid Row, and a short 2 blocks from the hottest spots Downtown has to offer. This place brims with creativity and inspiration. The space itself is huge! Secure and safe, funky with amazing views and tons of room! 1 Parking space is included in the private gated lot. Especially great for Artists, Musicians, travelers, and adventurous types. It's a time you won't forget!
  • Great place, great guy. I had an amazing first time in LA because of him.

    Jon2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, felt very safe. Excellent vibe. Michael is awesome and a super host. Wish we had more time to spend together!

    Heather2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The bathroom is the same room as the laundry room. Michael is a super great host. The area is a little scary, I wouldn't go there for a honeymoon.

    Darlene2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is the most adorable host I have ever met, friendly and flexible, we were able to leave our bags at his house while we made one last lap in the city. the loft is huge and you hardly run into Michel or other guests, but if you want to meet them, you can do it at the eaves of good rock that Michael plays or the great view on the roof. the neighborhood can be a little ugly at night, a lot of people in street life, but it's really not a problem, they are calm and do not bother at all. The atmosphere is relaxed and totally recommended, very connected and central. Gracias Michael! Eres el mejor

    Sandra2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • If I had to rank a host on a scale of one to 10, 10 being the best, I'd give Michael about a million. Best I've ever met, and I don't think I've ever disliked any of them (except the people in Whittier who left me on the street at 1 o'clock in the morning). Would you believe Michael even offered and then did give me a ride to a bar over near Dodger Stadium in the middle of rush hour traffic?. (I shouldn't have let him do it, but that's my bad, even though he totally insisted and we had a great conversation along the way.) When I got back around 11:30 at night, we went up on the roof and had one bottle each of cold Modelo, straight from his fridge. I had the "funky" room, and there's something that needs to be said right now: you'd think the worst of what you might find in what used to be a Skid Row flop, but I did not see a single bug or furry creature -- and I was ready to take on all comers. The place was extremely colorful, exciting, entertaining, and safe. I had ZERO problem with any street people, and I vry much enjoyed by bike ride around the neighborhood in the morning. If I have a regret, it's that I did not spend more time there. For sure, I'll be back to take care of that problem. Big recommendation: you've got to check out the rooftop at night and watch the show down below, on the fabled "Nickel." Lots of history around there. I remember the original Hard Rock when it was an operating bar, although I never went in (my bad). The surrounding neighborhood is filled with stories and history and social dysfunction, and Michael knows a ton about all of it. Skid Row, of course, can be an acquired taste, and if those kinds of sights and sounds and experiences trouble you, you should probably drink another cup of tea. But you'll really be missing out.

    Andrew2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great host and place! So grateful for the whole experience full of good vibes, art and amazing views. Next time on L.A I'll be back for sure!

  • A once in a lifetime experience to enjoy a Los Angeles sunset from a Rooftop, with great views and even greater people. Our host Michael not only catered to every one of my needs but he also went above and beyond to make my stay relaxing, stress free, and a memorable trip that i will cherish forever. By far the BEST experience I have ever had on Air B&B. Thank you Michael!

    David2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is an outstanding host. He is very helpful and was readily available all day to give us any assistance we needed. The location is definitely funky! It was very fun to use the space to film, especially on the roof! There is a gorgeous view of the LA skyline. The warehouse is spacious and promises a myriad of film opportunities. There is funky art everywhere, and lots of empty spaces too for you to design a personalised set if needed. If you're looking for an interesting, unique film location, this is definitely a place to consider. You won't regret it!

One bedroom loft with a cozy feel; furnished with 1 Queen bed and 1 futon. Sleeps up to 3 people comfortably. Perfect for the working traveler or those who simply want to live like a local.
We reside on the 2nd floor of an industrial building characterized by high-vaulted ceilings tall brick + concrete walls, and exposed pipes + beams. Views from the windows face a timeless industrial landscape and flood this beautiful spacious studio with warm, natural light. There's plenty of room to spread out whether you're here for work or for pleasure. Our neighbors in the building contribute to a creative, open-minded community located in the heart of the Arts District.
We’re located in a hip area steps away from LA's murals, public artwork, sightseeing spots, unbeatable amenities, and excellent opportunities to expand your network + engage with locals. Right down the stairs are retail stores (Arts District Co-op indoor flea, Cleveland Art), LA residents, and creative office spaces. The Arts District is famed for cutting-edge galleries, art spaces and a richly diverse environment situated within a number of growing business and production offices. Walking distance highlights: Urth Caffe, Piehole, The Resident, Umami Burger, , Arts District Brewery, Sci-Arc School of Architecture, Hauser + Wirth, Green Tech Incubator, Arts District Park, Little Tokyo, the (in)famous American Apparel warehouse, Pizzanista!, Factory Kitchen Bar, and LA Climb (climbing gym). 5-10m drive from DTLA’s main attractions: Walt Disney Concert Hall, MOCA, the Broad, Staples Center, Nokia Live, Asian Pacific Museum, Chinatown, LA Live, Wilshire Grand, , Japanese American Museum, the Lash, Perch, Bar Ama, Pershing Square, the Smell, the Regent, FIDM, USC Keck, Last Bookstore... 15-20m drive to Silver Lake/Echo Park, Hollywood, Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley. The Historic Pasadena 110 freeway (the first in the Western US) is worth taking a spin.
  • The place was very large and decorated nicely. The apartment does not have total acoustic separation from the neighboring apartments, and thus was very loud. The area was great because we have lived in the arts district and know what areas to avoid.

    Hannah2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in Arts District! Walking distance from breweries, food, other bars, and Little Tokyo. Not a far drive from downtown either. Location is overall good but just be smart when you’re walking around at night. Phil was a great host and very communicable. The loft itself was nice! The bed was very comfortable and the space was overall pretty homey.

  • When we got to the Airbnb, the description was a little bit deceiving. Based on pictures we were under the impression that it was in an apartment complex, but it was actually located inside a game room that I won't name to protect their location. We were expecting a modern apartment that would feel almost like staying at a hotel, it was actually more like a warehouse/art studio converted into an apartment. It was a unit that also had a door that connected to another neighbor's apartment unit inside. That was a little weird because the neighbor could potentially come into the place if they wanted to, and required trust on our end. We didn't mind all this so much because it was still clean, it had almost all the basics of what we needed to stay almost comfortably, it just wasn't what we were expecting. We had a wedding to attend to and needed an iron to iron our clothes. To be fair, it wasn't listed as part of the amenities so that part was our fault for not double-checking. And it's a good thing I brought my own hairdryer because they didn't have that either. After our first night there, the next morning someone came into our Airbnb unit while we were sleeping looking for the lockbox. This was extremely rude and could've been easily avoided if we were notified beforehand. It made it not reassuring that we'd be having any privacy since the person felt comfortable to just waltz in whenever without even knocking on our door. The biggest downfall to our stay was the AC.  It's listed that there is AC in the apt which was a key factor to us selecting an Airbnb. However, what isn't noted is that the AC is connected to his neighbor's unit that controls the thermostat to both units. This means 1. I can't adjust the AC myself, and 2. If I wanted the AC turned on, I'd have to contact Phillip to contact his neighbor to turn it on for me. This was a HUGE hassle and pain for us because it was one of the hottest and humid weekends in LA, and I'm a person who actually prefers warm weather and it was too hot even for me. It was like a sauna and we were melting. Phillip had a large fan in the unit, but it barely did anything at all. We had it blowing in our faces and we were still dying. Though Phillip was quick to respond to us, it was still such a pain to have to contact him to ask him to tell his neighbor to turn the AC on. We had to do this several times throughout the weekend. My guess is that the neighbor turns off the AC when he/she isn't home to save electricity, so even when Phillip did contact him/her the AC wasn't turned on until hours later. This made it very frustrating trying to have a place to come back to, to relax, which is the whole point of a vacation stay. In spite of all this, I will say that this spot is an excellent location to get around in LA. Lyfts were always nearby and we'd be able to order one in under 5 minutes, you can definitely get around without a rental car if you plan to stay in downtown LA. So if you don't care for a hotel type Airbnb experience and can live without AC, I'd recommend this spot. If AC is a dealbreaker like it was for us, I'd look elsewhere.

  • This place is adorable. Very chic, clean, simple, but very stylish. The bathrooms are both updated and it really has that “LA vibe”. The only issue we had is the Air Conditioning. It was not working when we checked in and it was not fixed until the afternoon on the previous day leaving us with no AC the first night and the better part of the day on the second day. It was fixed and then worked perfectly after that and Emily was very quick to get back to me with updates. Very close to everything and a ton of cool places to check out within walking distance.

  • Great place near plenty of restaurants in downtown LA. Clean place of stay!

    Sergio2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious apartment, and the shower was wonderful, defenitely the best shower of all 5 places we stayed in this trip (spacious and nice water pressure). Very clean as well. Not the comfiest bed (creaky sound everytime we moved during the night), but that can be easily replaced. Not the best neighbourhood for travelling with kids, even thought the apartment worked well for that. Overall experience was very good! :)

  • Great place, was made very welcome and relaxed. Secure and beautiful space with nice extras and thoughtful considerate host. Pool is fabulous as are the views from the roof. Would recommend to all (note the spiral staircase to the room is steep but no drama). Great area to see and get to the best in DTLA.

  • Neat and stylish place to stay in DTLA. An awesome bookstore nearby and juice place. We spent almost the entire time at the LA Convention center for a seminar, and it was a nice 25 minute walk away. I’d be ready for a very urban experience and be able to handle some gritty parts of the city. Also be able to traverse winding steps to your bedroom. Overall, a great stay.

Beautiful 625 SF suite-style bedroom in the heart of the Arts District – perfect for the working traveler, studio artist & those who simply want to live like a local. Ideal for those looking for a rustic loft-like experience with a cozy feel in a creative open-minded environment. This room includes 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed – sleeps comfortably up to 5 people. Futons are available upon request.
We’re located in a hip area at the intersection of Seaton & 5th, steps away from famous murals, public artwork, sightseeing spots, unbeatable amenities, and excellent opportunities to expand your network + engage with locals. Right down the stairs are retail stores (Arts District Co-op indoor flea, Cleveland Art), LA residents, and creative office spaces. We reside on the 2nd floor of an industrial building characterized by high-vaulted ceilings, tall brick and concrete walls, rough-hewn floors, exposed pipes & beams. Multiple skylights above flood this beautiful spacious loft with warm, natural light. Views from the windows face a timeless industrial landscape. We’ve personally customized our live/work loft with a combination of elements from the original building, industrial and natural materials, an abundance of plants, reclaimed wood, and recycled materials with security, convenience, and preservation in mind. The open plan allows for a flexible setup in terms of working, relaxing, with the option of engaging with your neighbors or unwinding in your own personal space. Plenty of room to spread out; accented with plants, books, magazines, and original artwork from neighboring Los Angeles artists. Please note my loft is a shared space. Your bedroom is private, whereas the common areas, bathrooms, and kitchens are shared with other guests and subtenants. Recommended for people cool with hostel living. We encourage open-minded, independent and responsible guests. We’re happy to accommodate to meet your needs and sensitivities to aspects of the loft you may experience during your stay.
The Arts District is famed for cutting-edge galleries, art spaces and a richly diverse environment situated within a number of growing business and production offices. Walking distance highlights: Urth Caffe, Piehole, The Resident, Umami Burger, , Arts District Brewery, Sci-Arc School of Architecture, Hauser + Wirth, Green Tech Incubator, Arts District Park, Little Tokyo, the (in)famous American Apparel warehouse, Pizzanista!, Factory Kitchen Bar, and LA Climb (climbing gym). 5-10m drive from DTLA’s main attractions: Walt Disney Concert Hall, MOCA, the Broad, Staples Center, Nokia Live, Asian Pacific Museum, Chinatown, LA Live, Wilshire Grand, , Japanese American Museum, the Lash, Perch, Bar Ama, Pershing Square, the Smell, the Regent, FIDM, USC Keck, Last Bookstore... 15-20m drive to Silver Lake/Echo Park, Hollywood, Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley. The Historic Pasadena 110 freeway (the first in the Western US) is worth taking a spin.
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days during the camp flog gnaw festival weekend. We were attending the festival and I believe the other guests were as well. The room and space are exactly how it is pictured; beautiful, spacious, lots of natural lighting. If you're planning to stay here during a busy weekend in LA, expect there to be other guests staying there as well. The bathrooms are shared so just be aware of that when you book this room. The location was good but we did have to uber to most places we went. Our last two days we realized that there were restaurants and shops within walking distance that we wish we would've known about sooner. Philip was very quick with responding and helpful when issues came up. Overall- a really great place to stay!

    Julia2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • amazing and well furnished space

    Debbie2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying in this beautiful space. The area was perfect, no issues with parking. My only issue was it wasn’t as private as I thought due to the open ceilings from the structure of the building but it was no big deal. Everyone was nice, respectful, and I had no issues getting rest. Best part was the location.

    Theresa2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Phil’s space was spic-n-span and he’s a very nice guy + easy to communicate with. It’s an open loft with a private room inside. The space is absolutely beautiful with natural lighting, loft-y appliances, and artsy decor.

    Emily2019-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed staying at Phillip's place very much. I chose the place for its spacious room and stylish decor, everything was as described. I also loved that there was 2 garment rack as I had a lot of outfits during my trip. I was in LA for business so it was nice to have large table to do some work and there was no issue with internet. Communication was seamless. He was always quick to respond when I needed something for the room or had questions about check in/out. I and my friend got a chance to meet him and his roommate to chat a bit and it was also very nice. This can be a problem for LA in general and not necessarily a comment for the place but I was getting attacked by mosquitos at night pretty badly. If this is a continuous case it may be helpful to have mosquito net or candle by the bed. Overall it was great, I would stay again and would recommend to anyone who is into this type of creative space.

    Ran2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Phillip’s place was very convenient and affordable. The rooms are spacious and chic; and even though there are several other guests, there was not too much conflict in using the two restrooms. It is very important to note that there are *not* full height walls between the guest rooms, so it is up to each guest to be respectful of others (and not invite random people over to a shared airbnb at 1:30am). Phillip was very responsive and helpful for the most part. Unfortunately, we added an extra guest in the week leading up to our trip and the host did not leave out an extra set of towels and sheets.

    Rebecca2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much again for the stay! Loved the location and definitely would recommend to anyone who is visiting LA. I loved the big open space - it was super comfy! Shout out to you for the extra blankets :D Can't wait to come back! One thing I would mention.... When I walked in the building, I saw a huge set of stairs that I was not prepared for - Luckily enough someone else had stepped inside the same time I did and kindly helped lift my heavy ass luggage. So side note!!!! Be careful on those stairs because... I rolled on my ankle carrying my own luggage DOWN on the very last step and it's been swollen for 2 weeks! Or just don't freakin overpack like I did for 2 days. Is there an elevator??? This is in no way a reflection of the stay or location, just a warning! You guys will enjoy, promise!

  • Phillip was incredibly kind and quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay. Fantastic pricing for the amount of space we were provided. The location was minutes away from Grand Central Market and the Metro which was very nice. I would highly recommend booking through him.

  • Phillip’s loft is the best place in live in if you want to explore an newer/art area in LA downtown. The loft itself was clean and comfortable. Phillip is a great, thoughtful and friendly host, easy to communicate with. My friends and I all think there was more than expected. There’s lots of great food and shops around the area. Highly recommend this for Foodie and people who like taking unique photos! I would choose this again if I come back to La downtown. Thank you Phillip!

    Rita2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space in an incredible part of LA. Very stylish, spacious, clean, playful. Yes the bathrooms are shared space with residents of the artist lofts next door, however this really was not a problem of any kind. The bathrooms were kept super clean, there was no queue for the bathroom at any time. The shower was great, the bathroom itself was spacious and lots of natural light. There was also another smaller shower/toilet room near by. The bed / living space was large open plan with two large beds and a sofa plus some other cool furniture and art. Free parking outside was fantastic. Area felt safe (enough) for arts district DTLA, with gas station for supplies (drinks/snacks etc) 2 minutes away. This space is very near to many excellent restaurants, bars, art gallery's, fashion stores (check out Dover Street Market just round the corner from the apartment) and a short drive away from down down. Though we did not meet this trip Philip was cool, relaxed and responsive whenever we communicated, which is what I always want from a host. We had a perfect stay. Will definitely be staying here again.

  • Phillip was a great host!Very helpful, accurate and easy to reach. The apartment is in a great area in the heart of Arts District and you can find all the famous murals in a few minutes walk. Unfortunately the house wasn’t very clean and basic amenities were missing like toilet and kitchen paper. The people that stay there aren’t the friendliest so save your good mornings. It’s an ok apartment for having a sleep after a long day seeing LA in his comfortable beds

    Dimitra2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The outside area is a little loud but besides that we had a good time. The other guests in the unit were quiet & we had a great amount of privacy & relaxation.

    Shayla2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really really dope area !! Good spot with lots of art around it!! Would stay again!

    Isaiah2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Phil's space was just as expected. Clean, roomy, and fitting of the arts district vibe. Perfect location, especially if you're looking to traverse downtown LA without having to go far from where you're staying. Folks sharing the space were generally quiet, and heard/saw few to none there during a weekend stay. Can hear some noise from anyone using the kitchen, but to be expected since one of the beds shares a wall with it. Overall pleasant experience, and Phil was fast to respond and accommodating to our needs. Great for folks who will be busy during their visit and just need a place to sleep. I recommend!

Welcome to my loft! I’ve watched this area grow and blossom into the hippest spot of DTLA.Welcome to the Arts District. Ive lived in some of the most luxurious places in the city. Being tired of the cookie cutter places, no soul feel, therefore I decided to build something of my own "artist made" a true loft experience. home is centrally located in the arts District in downtown Los Angeles. Too try and keep this huge loft cool during the hotter days we have fans and a little A/C unit :) During winter we provide small portable heaters to help you stay warm :) **We have cable TV selected because there’s no option for Netflix Chromecast and other streaming devices we have for your entertainment**

  • Very cool and rustic art loft! Very cool location in the happening LA arts district. It rained during my stay (rare in LA) and the roof of the loft sprung a leak and was dripping inside the apartment. Drew was very apologetic, and said that he had just had it fixed, and offered to bring me a case of beer to make it up to me.

  • My host drew was amazing throughout the whole stay I couldn’t have asked for a better loft in downtown la to stay at for the night. His kindness and communication is unmatched! The whole loft was exactly like the pictures and was easily accessible. Everyone in the building was friendly and it is beyond safe in that area. My visit to Los Angeles made this the best birthday I’ve ever had!

  • Incredibly spacious spot located in the arts district near Little Tokyo. Phillip was the most responsive host I've had and worked quickly to remedy issues and give local recommendations.

    Ryan2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • It's a very good location and large space!! Such a good trip experience?

    Lingshu2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Quick, clear responses, and accommodating! Phillip was willing to offer a more private space within the same facility and ensured that it was a better fit for the group. Would definitely rent again.

    Yeeleng2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Phillip’s apartment is really cool! It’s located in a hip area with lots of beautiful murals, and the apartment itself has a huge amount of space and two recording studios (which we actually used!). That being said, the kitchen and bathroom are very basic, the fridge is a mini fridge, the tub’s handles are falling off, and the neighborhood can be sketchy at night. Neighborhood is definitely not the host’s fault, but the amenities could be a bit more up to standard.

    Yuriy2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience staying at Phillip’s loft. It was super specious and in a good location. There are several breweries and little shops at walking distance. The art district is so amazing and there’s so much art on the streets to admire. Parking was easy and we always found parking really close. Phillip is a great host and he responds to your messages really quickly.

    Lupe2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I was traveling with another artist for work. We loved the space. It is large and spacious with lots of natural light. we loved the sparseness of the space and it had air conditioning--which is great in the hot months of LA. The location was exactly what we hoped for, easy walk to coffee shops and certain galleries. Both beds were comfortable and we were able to cook, work and relax in the space between our many journeys out into the city. We will definitely return. Philip was easy to reach and fast at communication. Check-in and check-out were both super easy.

It's gritty and real. Heavy vibe and musical history behind the area. Located adjacent to Skid Row and Little Tokyo. Incredible secure 3 story building with roof access. Private Rooftop has 360 degree view of the city! NOTE: If homelessness makes you feel uneasy, you may want to try other accommodations, as there are many shelters in the area, and the homeless population can be uncomfortable to some.
  • This place is CRAZY and AMAZING! It was so weird I was amazed. Theres a lot of stuff in this house .. Its like you could explore there for days and find something you everyday. Wish I could have stayed longer than just one night. Mike is a super sweet person, anything I needed I just had to ask and he would have helped me, even when me and my friends asked him where we could have had an after party! There are a lot of homeless people in the neighborhood .. So some people probably wouldn't like the location.. Just dont walk around at night and you'll be fine ! Im really extremely glad i got to see this place.. It was mind-blowing!

    Alexandra2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely one of the most interesting places I’ve ever stayed! The space is amazing and everything inside catches your eye. It is an old building so the air is a bit thick, but if you’re in LA I guess you should be used to that lol. Michael is a very generous and genuine person, 10/10 would recommend the experience. (:

  • To anybody who is having second thoughts about booking this place read this review. I was blown away by how nice Michael treating my friends and me. His home is so artistic and roomy I would definitely book this place again. At first I was a bit sketched out by the neighborhood but after a few talks with Michael and talking a walk through the neighborhood my mind was put to ease to realize that i was completely safe. It may seem a little scary to people who have never been in an environment like that but i can assure you there is no need to worry. Michael has an amazing home and an amazing rooftop. The rooftop is so cool, so much photo opportunities on that roof. He also has 2 pretty cool cats. Michael is a down to earth dude as well. He did a little performance for my friends and I about 20 minutes into the house tour and even offered us some drinks and other cool things. Book with Michael and you will not be disappointed.

    Wanless2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our band stayed at Mike’s place while we were touring through CA and it’s a really great place for anyone who likes/plays music, Mike was an awesome host and the place is really spacious and just all-around cool

    Katy2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Micheal was the sweetest host ever!! Although location wasn't ideal, our stay in LA was a memorable one thanks to all his help. Super artsy place, not your typical Airbnb. If you're looking for an eye opening experience stay here.

  • Armin's home was amazing. It's incredibly spacious with interesting decorations and furniture. We had a large group and everyone was comfortable. Would recommend this place for city trips with friends and family.

    Anthony2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Armin is very easy to work with. Great / consistent / reliable communication via email / texting throughout prior to our check-in. He's thoughtful and wants to make sure we have a good time and the place is clean / meeting our expectations. Armin is detail-oriented with his check-in process, incredibly thoughtful and tries to be as accommodating as he could - which was really nice from a host. Also, prob worth mentioning -- I've used his space before, and returning as a very happy, satisfied renter.

    Jerry2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • A really incredible place in the heart of the Arts District. It's way bigger than it looks in the photos and there's lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. Armin was a very attentive host and really looked after us during out stay. Thanks from all of us!

    Thomas2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Armin is an excellent host and his loft is in a great location. I stayed there with 9 friends and it was a perfect home base for our weekend in LA. Armin is extremely responsive . Definitely check out the loft!

  • It was our second time staying at Armin's place. Great location and price. Can't beat it!

    Jason2018-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Armin was accommodating from our early arrival to our later departure. Great space for our video gaming and ping pong (and the shock factor). Not great for actually sleeping 10 people. I loved the neighborhood. Urth Caffe was super convenient. 6th street was impressive. The Arts District with Angel City Brewery was fun. X-Lanes bowling, a surprising find (never been metal detected at at bowling alley).

    Sean2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Imagine the Real World house. It's EXACTLY what it looks like in photos! SO FUN! The space is incredible. Never felt cramped or packed in. It is open sleeping basically, but as long as you aren't throwing a swingers party, you should be fine! Space does get hot, but it's LA, so it is what it is. Carpets are little dirty and if you walk barefoot, you will have black feet, but other than that, clean and quirky and amazing! The HOST Armin was INCREDIBLE! He forgot to get us extra towels one day, so he brought us cookies because he felt bad! Who does that?!? When several of our groups flights were canceled he let a few folks stay late on our check out day so they weren't just chilling on the street! HE WAS SO GREAT! Communicated with us the whole time and was just amazing. Can't thank him enough! THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We had booked this place last month being our first time in LA. It seemed affordable and the host got back to us ASAP however we were a bit hesistant as it didn’t have many reviews (host said this was because it was new). He cancelled on us on the same day bare in mind we were on our flight from London to LA and had to book another last minute one at the airport. Downer to start our trip with. Unreliable - do not book

A wonderful new and modern 650 sq ft. studio loft in the heart of the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. The unit has a gated parking spot for 1 car, full appliances, fresh linens, towels, tv (basic channels), movies, and internet. The sofa can be turned into a bed for an additional guest making it so three people can stay in the unit. Great unit for an out of town student, family visits, and travelers ready to explore LA. Rooftop has a hot tub, and open community grill. I live in the area as well and happy to list the many museums, bars, restaurants, parks to visit in the area, and always a phone call away for directions etc. I also have 2 bikes for hire for $10/day per bike. (includes baskets, lights, bike lock, and helmets) Let me know if you have any questions about the place happy to answer. :-)
  • Pia is super: cool, helpful and welcoming. Is very much an expert on the area and has great recommendations. The place is very clean and well-stocked. It's also perfect if you're looking to stay in an area where you can walk to a supermarket and have a great number of options for food and drink. The area is also particularly great if you're vegetarian / vegan. And, if you're into climbing, LA Boulders is also in walking distance and awesome. Would definitely stay here again!

    Eric2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Pia-Louise made my visit simple and efficient. The loft is exactly as described, there were no surprises and everything was in impecible shape.

    Chris2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful studio located in the Arts District in DTLA. It's described as a "studio" but it feels much bigger with a full kitchen and a separate sleeping area. I loved my stay here! It's really close to great restaurants and bars and the building is very secure and safe. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Pia-Louise was fantastic! Very helpful and friendly and even offered me a couple tickets to the Rams game. If you get a chance definitely stay here!

    Gene2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Pia's place! The location was great, right next to Little Tokyo and a bunch of other walkable places to eat and drink. Great taste of living in the Arts District. Her place was super clean, and the building was also really nice as well.

    Lijen & Caroline2013-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is one terrific apartment! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights (wish it had been more!) in May 2013. The decor is hip yet sophisticated, the apartment was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was beautifully equipped. The owner responded quickly and fully to all of our emails. When we return to LA, this is most definitely the place we'll stay!

    Patricia2013-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time staying at Pia's loft! We chose it because it is in the Arts District, near a wedding we were attending the weekend of our stay, and had a parking space. Although we were nervous driving to the unit because the neighborhood seemed a little scary at night, we felt totally safe in the gated community and really loved walking during the day because there are so many great murals around. (Also, we learned that a lot of the barbed wire is kind of just there but not actively meant for anything?) It's practically across the street from the Little Tokyo Market, where there are restaurants and an Asian supermarket. It's close to downtown and Little Tokyo. The unit itself is really spacious and could very comfortably accommodate a much longer stay that we did. Pia was super helpful in helping us get checked in, helping us deal with a rain-induced Internet outage, and answering questions about LA. Honestly, I don't know why I would stay anywhere else the next time I come to LA! This was exactly what we needed and then some.

    Starr2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pia's apartment in the Arts District was perfect, it couldn't get any better. The studio apartment is very spacious and is loaded with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay (TV, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Parking, Rooftop BBQ.. etc). The other tenants in the building are very friendly and welcoming. The neighbourhood is great to adventure through with many cool shops, places to eat and things to see. Thank you very much Pia for the stay.. I will definitely touch base with you for another potential booking in the future!

    Tone2013-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot rave enough about Pia's place. The area, the building, the loft were AMAZING! The apt was very clean and ready upon my arrival. Since I was there for such a long time (4 months) I got VERY comfortable and didn't want to leave. The neighbors in the building are great and very friendly. The convenience of the washer/dryer and parking spot made life a lot easier. I also enjoyed the amazing view from the rooftop, as very as taking advantage of the jacuzzi and BBQ grill. I felt very safe in the neighborhood being a single girl traveling alone and got the enjoy the trendy restaurants and bars. Pia was always available for any and all questions and concerns, even down to helping with a Thai food craving! I love everything about this place and highly recommend it. I definitely will be back!

Gorgeous 1,100 sq ft 2bd/2br apartment in the heart of DTLA where all the action is. Tons of space but comfy and cozy enough to relax and have a good time with the group. Perfect for up to 6 guests, can accommodate up to 7 if needed.
1100 sq ft. spacious loft in Downtown L.A. nestled in the heart of Gallery Row. 20 ft open ceilings, open kitchen with gorgeous hand crafted furniture and plenty of sunlight. Master bedroom with it's own full size bathroom and Jacuzzi style tub. 2nd bedroom with detached full sized bathroom with Jacuzzi style tub. The Loft is equipped with: - Central AC - Dishwasher - High speed internet access
Centered conveniently in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, this apartment location is perfectly suited for young professionals and vacationers who can and are looking to embrace an energy that is electric day and night. Staying here will put you in walking distance to all the attractions of DTLA: The Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Broad Museum (due to open late summer 2015), The Plaza, Little Tokyo, The Arts District, historic parks and the Financial Center to name a few. It's a scene here. Nightlife is always buzzing with the hottest people in the liveliest bars of Downtown right on our street and a few blocks away. Plenty of coffee shops, international eateries, juice bars, a 24 hour cafe/bistro down the block, a market and pharmacy around the corner and a weekly visit from our local farmers that set up shop every Sunday 2 blocks away. The Last Bookstore is still standing on the next block over. If you can squeeze out 2 hours of your time during your visit, this place is a "must see" - a bookstore/art gallery/cafe/live music venue/trinket shop/hang out spot all rolled into one awesome house for books that date back to.. a long long time ago. The now very popular "Eggslut" at the Grand Central Market is a 3 minute walk and the best tacos are right across the street from us. Bottega Louie is another "must try" as it's a scene in there all by itself and a unique experience. If you're into architecture, plenty to see within walking distance as well. City Hall, Grand Plaza, the Public Library and all the old banks that have now been converted to nifty lofts (like my place) are sights to take in. The intricately detailed masonry on some of these buildings are insane. We have music halls, comedy clubs, the Dodgers Stadium, museums.. pretty much everything you need is right at your fingertips here in Downtown L.A.. You're guaranteed a great time.
  • Great place to stay for a LA Downtown experience. Nari is lovely, helpful and apartment has a great feel to it. Comfy bed!

    Heath2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated that Nari was flexible when we arrived a bit earlier than expected. She let us know about a secure nearby parking garage mere yards from her place. The room is larger than pictured, light filled, and clean. Nari is knowledgeable about the area and gave us good tips. We loved the restaurant we went to for dinner and then walking to the Disney Center for a concert. We expected the night noises as we were staying in downtown Los Angeles. The mattress is VERY comfortable! We were glad she encouraged us to go up on the rooftop as we loved the view.

    Kana2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place. Not completely private. Big open space above the room with a low wall. Nari is nice and very chill.

    Kristina2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly same as the description. Host and their pets are really friendly. But there was a little noise in the room; air conditioner and neighbors. To sum up, we had a fun staying there:)

    Saeka2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nari and her apartment were awesome! Excellent location in DTLA, spacious apartment nicely done and with tons of space, a cute Yogi as a companion, and really easy going and helpful host. Again, the room is huge, which is obviously nice, and Nari is really easy going and helpful, and quick to respond. Much better than expected and highly recommended !

    Edward2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is just amazing and Nari is the perfect hostess!!! I had a great time!

    Flávia2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nari and Yogi are wonderful hosts! I was lucky to be able to stay there. It locates right in the heart of DTLA: Broadway is in the next block, theaters, restaurants, shops are all in walking distance. My recommendation for the gems around Nari's home: The Last Bookstore - It's an ocean of books with workshops, arts events etc. You can spend a whole day inside. A book lover must see. The Grand Central Market - One stop world cuisine market. Highly recommend the Eggslut, Ramenhood, Stick Rice. Verve Coffee, The Cliftons, and much much more for you to explore..... Back to the room, it's in a very spacious loft with all the amenities provided. Everywhere is kept neat and clean. People in the building are friendly and I felt like going home everyday. Nari and Yogi are of course my super hosts! They are very flexible, considerate and always care about me! All in all I'm extremely satisfied with my first Airbnb stay (after hosting over 3000 guests) and I will highly recommend Nari's home!

Light-filled, industrial loft conversion in Downtown Los Angeles. Airbnb has asked us to clarify that this space is inclusive, and we want to emphasize, without preference, that our home is open to guests of every race, color, creed, nationality, and belief, with the exception of bigots. (And with the exception of people hosting parties : ).
This spacious, light filled, corner loft is our personal oasis in the midst of Downtown Los Angeles, a post-modern city in the midst of transformation. We have made this apartment a home, with luxury linens, mattress, cookware, etc--it is not a sterile rental--so you will find comfort and luxury here that you won't in an equally priced investment property.
  • I was in LA for work for a few weeks and Maia's place was everything I was looking for in downtown living! A sunny and spacious and very cool but cozy corner loft in a building with great amenities and a ten minute walk to the subway, plenty of nearby restaurants and bars, and the greatest host you can imagine. Maia kept her place spotless and well-stocked with everything one might need; communication was quick and helpful and full of local tips; and she was always very thoughtful. I was sad to leave and would stay there again in a second.

Spectacular loft in the heart of LA! Great restaurants, bars and more right at your door. Walk to everything that is Downtown LA. FANTASTIC loft with city views, WiFi and central heating and a/c!
The loft is one block from Spring Street, walking distance to everything you could imagine and more. So much is happening downtown it's amazing. Great restaurants and bars are walking distance and are everywhere. If you are looking for a loft with great design incorporating mid century and industrial nuances, this space is for you! Most of the furniture we refinished, the coffee table is made from a reclaimed pallet with custom cut glass and red casters. The entertainment center has separate uniquely painted matte black and gold sections and the kitchen table is an old cable spool fitted with California state prison chairs.  The building is walking distance to the Metro. Two different locations to take the train to Hollywood in less then 10 minutes. (Pershing Square or 7th Metro) Just exit Vine or Highland. You can also take the Western exit to hike at Griffith park in Los Feliz and see the Observatory!  If you need parking go to the address below for $12 overnight. 545 S. Main St, Los Angeles

Drew was the best host so hospitable, literally any time of the day or night you needed something he was there and supportive. Hands down will be staying here again whenever I'm on the west side.

  • WOW! That was my exact reaction once I walked into the place. 😍 Everything was adequately furnished and decorated and I can honestly say that the pictures do the place no justice. Drew was an awesome host, he made the whole experience easy and simple. Cleanliness was on point. The location of the place and the view you have is great. Walking distance to local bars and restaurants is a plus! I enjoyed every second of my stay. I highly recommend booking here. I will definitely be back, thanx again Drew!

  • This was my first time using Airbnb and Drew was an excellent host, did everything possible to make my stay pleasant and easy. I don't know where to even start to talk about the apartment it's simply beautiful. We had a lot of fun taking selfie's on huge chairs, he also left some refreshments and a few bottles of liquor that came in handy lol. It was very easy to access parking and the building itself is nice the apartment was very clean everything was new and just smelled really good. Would definitely be back again hopefully the book longer thank you Drew if I could give you 100 stars I would

  • It’s a good place, great host, and very central to LA. The only thing that bummed me out was no ping pong table and the tv wasn’t working.

    Candi2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience staying in Jordan's place. I came here with some coworkers for a convention in LA and on the second night we stayed here, one of our guests was bitten dozens of times all over his arms as well as his leg and side. He was actually sleeping upstairs on a couch - not in any of the bedrooms. The bites didn't show up until much later that day and now, 4 days later, are extremely swollen, inflamed and itchy. The bites are in clusters (like triangles) and lines which makes us very worried that they are bed bugs. Note: we never actually physically saw any bed bugs. I reported the situation to the host immediately and he said they must be mosquitoes since the house doesn't have bed bugs. We believed him at first and stayed one more night, but when the bites worsened we left house early and found someplace else to stay. While Jordan was friendly and helpful through the early part of our stay (he got us a some fans because it was quite hot and left us beer in the fridge), I didn't feel like he took the situation seriously and I was a little insulted when he insinuated we were just trying to get our money back by filing a complaint. I definitely can not recommend staying here based the situation with the bites and the way it was handled by the host.

    Dave2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jordan's place is in a great, hip location of LA. Walking right outside you have shops, food, and tons to explore. You are also close to Little Tokyo and several museums. The loft is enormous and worked really well for our group. Jordan and Drew were very accommodating to our schedule and were wonderful hosts.

Fully renovated Vintage trailer perched on the roof top of a downtown artist loft is available for a one of a kind travel experience!
  • Such a amazing experience staying here! From the fantastic view of the city to the intimate cozy atmosphere of the deck and trailer, it really has to be one of the most unique and beautiful places in LA! I actually proposed to my fiance here and both me and my love agree that we will definitely remember our magical moment here, as well as our time with family and friends on the rooftop with the city lights as our backdrop! Such a amazing space! Not to mention our host Bridget, she really is the best! Made sure the whole experience was great and even helped with the surprise and brought out her good glassware! Sweetest person you will meet. Truly a unforgettable space and experience here and I would recommend for any occasion! I will definitely be back!

    Heejae2014-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful exterior location with an amazing sunset. And Bridget was really accommodating. We had a great time.

    Lani2014-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget was absolutely wonderful and so was her space. I will definitely be back. Thank you Bridget!!

    Courtney2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • There is a garden of vibrant peace in a cloud. Downtown and its luxurious madness is within a stroll. You can hear the city’s heartbeat and your own. Humor and possibility abound. Inside the trailer is a cradle of gold. Outside is an oasis equal the most wishful mirage. Lovely. Other visitors to Bridget’s Vintage Trailer have it right. It is, indeed, unique, improbable, unexpected, amazing, and awesome. Did anybody say whimsical? My Love and I agreed that it is our favorite place we’ve ever stayed. We partied some, we relaxed plenty, we went out, we huddled in, we marveled, we felt at home. It was a wonderful stage for a wonderful life. And, on top of it all, Bridget is super cool, fun, kind, and enthusiastic. I tell Mrs. Lovejoy all the time that her beauty is fascinating. Bridget’s garden provided a due canvas for her, and there is no greater compliment I can pay. In short, stay here for as long as you possibly can.

    Jj2014-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget has created a truly unique space in the heart of the arts district. She was very welcoming and put us on the guest list for The Resident event that was happening and offered to grab us drinks. Don't stay here expecting a boring time, the space really is something special and allows the person staying to get a snapshot of all that Downtown LA has to offer. I hope to come back in the future!

    Eduardo2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. This was our first time in downtown LA and we couldn't have spent it anywhere better than here. It was a little oasis, creative and cool. Always something going on in the streets below, a good neighbourhood. The bar and food downstairs all good. Would definitely stay again.

    Deirdre2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky enough to rent the rooftop for a small birthday soiree, and I can safely say that this is one of the most unique spaces in LA! Bridget was so incredibly accommodating, and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. From the string lights, to the unreal view, to the hip Arts District neighborhood, this is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that will not disappoint those looking for "outside of the box" accommodations.

    Adam2014-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is definitely a rare find, an oasis in the middle of Downtown LA, I even spotted humming birds sipping nectar from the plants in the garden, I was not expecting to see this in middle of the concrete. Bridget and her husband are amazing people they made me feel so welcome and the place hands down have a cool factor through the roof or a might say rooftop! Lol Bridget’s art studio is also a must see! Also the bar and the club downstairs just makes the place even better. Also having Urth caffe at walking distance to your stay is a great bonus! I recommend taking breakfast to go so you can eat al fresco at the rooftop yard. In resume you cannot go wrong by booking this place!

Soak up the creative vibes at this flowing 5th-floor loft with huge south and east-facing windows with views of the 4th Street Bridge. Rustic concrete and hardwood floors are combined with original art and limited edition prints and photographs.
Light and airy 5th floor loft with huge south and east facing windows, showing a gorgeous industrial landscape and views of the 4th Street Bridge. Secure, gated elevator building with 2 parking spaces included. Bedrooms are separated with custom sliding glass dividers. Master Bedroom has custom upholstered queen bed and latex mattress. Second bedroom is used as a den/TV room with Apple TV (no cable) and a library of novels & nonfiction. It has a pull-out that can be made up as a super-comfy bed with memory foam mattress topper on request. Office nook with iMac & Printer/Scanner. (You can also watch movies on the iMac from the master bedroom bed.) I am an avid cook and have a very well-stocked kitchen, with a huge spice collection, and most any utensil or appliance you might need. I also have some original art and limited edition prints and photographs hanging throughout the space. Unit is approximately 1200 square feet, with the majority being the common living/dining area, so it is a very comfortable place to hang out and have small meetings or dinner parties. Table seats six, and two couches in the living room also seat six comfortably.
The loft is just a stone's throw from everything in both the Arts District and Little Tokyo. Explore the industrial landscape, then walk the 3 blocks to the Little Tokyo metro station and reach Union Station in less than a mile.
  • We had a great experience staying at Emily's place. The loft was beautiful, well laid out, and located in a fun and up and coming neighborhood. It felt comfortable like my own home, not like I was a visitor in someone else's. Highly recommended!

    Mark2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is the best of all worlds, modern and clean with brand new floors, appliances, fixtures etc. set in an industrial framework. All the comforts of a top of the line contemporary space in the chic city vibes of the newly transformed industrial arts district. Emily was polite, prompt and thoughtful in all communications and while she has keeps the design of the interior minimal it is just the right amount of comfortable touches and beautiful pieces of art to make it feel like welcoming and upscale, there is no doubt it is someone's home and to be treated as you would treat your own. I was here for work and found it a perfect city oasis with access to shops, food, coffee, yoga and downtown without having to battle LA traffic. I highly recommend this space for work trips or as a home base for people of taste looking to have an authentic experience of the city. Parking in a private lot is provided, which is not common and a wonderful ammenity. Also, the building is double locked and feels quite secure, essential for being in the center of the city. Thanks Emily! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

  • Emily's place is so chic and clean-- perfect for my group of three girlfriends and me to explore the art and culture of LA. Emily really helped me out when I first arrived by giving a ton of recommendations and even looking over our itinerary to give me more insider tips. We loved staying near Little Tokyo and being in the middle of LA's many neighborhoods and districts. Thank you, Emily!

  • Emily is very welcoming and have everything ready for us nice and tidy. I like the apartment design. The location is very close to little Tokyo so we can easily get stuff from the supermarket.

  • Emily is a fantastic host answering all of my questions as they came in. The place is even better than the photos would have one believe and the neighborhood is a great mix of walkable cafes, restaurants, and museums. Can't wait to visit again.
