Waterview private Studio in a prestigious island neighborhood with its own garage with a love-seat & coffee table for smoking or relaxing. Inside there is: wood-stove which keeps it very cozy warm & a door to a small fenced pet yard, Kitchenette with a full fridge, 2 hotplates, small toaster oven & Keurig w/ pods and normal coffee maker with coffee. Queen size bed, 50'' smart TV, Large desk w/lamp, big mirror, wired cable for computer, bureau and clothes hangers. Small bath with shower
Living on an island has been always a super plus, the lack of noise, view of the stars, enjoying the silence, fresh air, feed the goat and pet the friendly house cats, walk on the beach to mystery bay park, just 2 miles from the Fort Flagler state park, half a mile from east beach Park with an area for BBQ and the water view, where you often see whales, or submarines or ships of all kind while eagles and seagulls Fly overhead.
I believe living on an island is kind of special, at least Marrowstone is considered a prestigious neighborhood, lots are 2 to 10 acres, we have 4 acres

This beautiful tiny house is a land yacht with lots of hardwood trim and a Queen size bed in the loft. Dave the captain is a master craftsman and sailor which is demonstrated by the care he used to build this home for you to enjoy. It has all the amenities for a comfortable stay on five acres with trails for a refreshing walk. Located just 5 short miles from the center of Port Townsend in forest setting. Sorry - No pets allowed.
The tiny home is separate from the main house and has its own bathroom with a full size shower.
We live in a wooded setting at the end of a cul de sac. There are 20 acres of woods behind the house that is home to deer, coyotes, birds, raccoon and other wild life.
  • This house is adorable and cozy! The downstairs has a spacious “living room” with a higher ceiling and gas stove/fireplace. The kitchen has everything you could need, and the bathroom doesn’t feel cramped. The house is out in the woods, so it’s quiet and the sky is filled with stars. This is a lovely place to stay when you’re out on the peninsula!

  • David's home is tucked away in a neighborhood 4 miles down the road from Port Townsend proper. The room is private and located right next to the bathroom. It has a nice little balcony attached. Sasha is a very friendly dog and was a great playmate for my dog. David and his wife were very accommodating to specific requests that I had, which was very much appreciated. Would stay again if needed!

    Rachel2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • David was there to greet us and help us into the house. He was extremely welcoming and pleasant. I would have loved to schedule an extra day there just to spend talking with him and going out on his sailboat, unfortunately we already had plans. We will definitely be staying there again!!

    Steven2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little place not far from town. It’s a tiny home with plenty of space for two. Would stay there again!

    Becca2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away from the noises of town, surrounded by trees and greeted by one of the friendliest dogs, this is a quiet restful place to stay. David and Renee are gracious hosts and enjoyable to chat with. They've created a cozy warm place. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs so be prepared for that.

  • This is a charming airbnb. If you are looking for a quiet getaway you will find it here.

    Deb2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot and David is a wonderful host. Something that is not obvious from the listing is that this tiny home SMELLS GREAT. The spotless raw wood in the home create a fantastic aroma and the place overall is beautiful and fun! Enjoyed throwing a stick for David's German Shephard Sasha, as well!

  • This place was great! Wonderful location, comfortable space and great hosts!

    Tom2019-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was just what I was looking for! The neighborhood was very quiet, and I felt very safe staying alone at night. I didn't speak with or meet Ron. He was able to pick up on my need for solitude during my stay from my brief note to him, and respectfully let me be. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to do basic cooking. No microwave, or baking pans, or mixers, so don't plan on making anything elaborate, but certainly fine for simple meals. The claw foot tub next to a sunny window was divine! The bed was quite comfy for one person, and could be for two, if you're good with sleeping close together. Deer kept me company in the back yard for more than one of the days I was there! Lots of space for any stuff you bring to be stowed out of the way. I would stay again.

  • This was my second time at Ron Paul's place. It's the first floor of an older house, furnished with antiques and exceptionally clean. The location is terrific--a quick walk to downtown, Aldrich Market, and Farmers' Market. Bonus points for fawns in the backyard!

    Suzanne2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ron and his wife are very accommodating. The house is in a wonderful location, and it was fun walking into town everyday. I had everything I needed

    Laurie2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • the location is excellent in this beautiful town.

    Star2014-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is inside of a large older house with plenty of space and privacy. It's a bit funky, in that old house sort of way, but also charming and low key. The apartment is in a really great location that's walking distance to everything downtown. I acclimated quickly and felt right at home for the duration of my stay. The host was very kind and quick with his responses. The storage space was more than sufficient thanks to lots of built-in shelving by the front entrance. The full size kitchen was well equipped and there was even a backup refrigerator in the laundry room if the unit's mini-fridge got full. Overall I enjoyed my stay and felt this listing was of a very good value.

    Tiffany2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were really happy with the space and it's in a great location. Ron Paul was easy to get a hold of and communicative. Also, clawfoot tub! Thank you.

    Agatha2014-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ron was exceptionally communicative and responsive, making it easy to find the unit, and offering great information about Port Townsend. The rental unit is spacious and a really good deal if you're looking to land in PT for a while. One caveat: if you plan on cooking or having any food at all in the kitchen, put every scrap of food in the refrigerator and immediately wipe the counters and table clean. There were ants in a big way, and nothing I did in terms of cleaning made them go away. Ron said he'd look into it.

Dove’s Perch is wrapped in a soothing lavender color and furnished with Great Uncle Everett’s bedroom set. Uncle Everett loved to take photos and a sampling of images he captured, along with his old Brownie camera, are on display. Dove’s Perch has a comfortable queen bed with a memory foam top for a wonderfully restful sleep. The shared full bathroom (with neighboring room) has a shower and bathtub. A well-lit vanity offers drawer space appointed to each room for personal toiletries.
Robin’s Nest is a petite bed and breakfast expressly designed to be casually relaxed and personable. It is infused with sprightly color and eclectically furnished with family heirlooms to blend a touch of nostalgia with contemporary comfort and convenience. The home was built in 2006 and renovated in 2017 to ensure our guests have a completely enjoyable experience. Upstairs, we have three unique guest rooms that are somewhat defined by the keepsakes displayed in them. Downstairs, the common room with it’s open floor plan serves as a breakfast area, a sitting room with fireplace and a kitchen. It is banked by large picture windows overlooking a secluded yard – great for watching the crazy antics of squirrels and birds as they vie for space at the feeders. Lodgers are invited to begin their day here with richly brewed coffee, a selection of tea and juices and a healthy buffet of fresh and dried fruits, nuts, granola, cage free organic hard boiled eggs, English muffins and organic low-fat yogurt. On summer mornings, guests can soak up the sun and sweet fragrance of flowers in the garden and at the end of the day relax with a glass of wine on the deck. In the fall and winter months, they might laze in the quiet seclusion of their room or toast by a cozy bon fire outside. L#011868
Robin's Nest is in a sunny area on top of Castle Hill, near the century old and reportedly haunted Manresa Castle. It's a short walk to see some wonderful views of the Port Townsend's historical skyline, and a five-minute drive to the heart of up-town, down-town, all local events, marinas, trails and everything else the area has to offer.
  • Robin's nest was a bright, cosy home with a beautiful garden to welcome you along with a friendly, can-do attitude by host Robin. A lovely, continental breakfast in Robin's cheerful dining room will start your day right and Robin has maps of the area and is ready with suggestions if you'd like tips on how best to enjoy your time in Port Townsend. I had a lovely stay there while attending a music retreat nearby.

    Megan2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were delighted to stay in this quiet, beautiful home. There were many personal touches and thoughtful amenities. Breakfast suited us to a “T”, with lots of choices for building a morning meal! Coffee, by the way, is ready and waiting when you decide to leave your cozy room! Hot and brewed from great beans!

    Kate2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Robin’s B and B was a great place to stay in Port Townsend. The room and common spaces were clean , comfortable , and well decorated. We took advantage of the breakfast to start our day off. We mostly spent our days in town and just slept at the guesthouse. The house was just as described on Robin’s site

    Linda2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Robin and her bed and breakfast were great, my fiancé and I were very satisfied with the accommodation, the location and the breakfast. Robin’s house and gardens are beautiful, and Robin is extremely nice and interesting to talk to. Thank you for a great stay!

    Thomas2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Robin is a very warm and thoughtful host, and has anticipated just about every need a traveler may have. It has been a while since we’ve stayed at a proper Bed and Breakfast, so we were quite delighted with the lovely breakfast provided by Robin each morning. Simple, yet wonderful in quality and variety (think granola, yogurt, bakery-fresh bread and bagels, fresh and dried fruits , and very good coffee)! We also very much enjoyed breakfast conversations with Robin and our fellow guests. It was a very warm and communal experience. The Dove’s Perch was pleasantly cozy for the two of us, with a very comfortable bed and walls painted in a soothing lavender that made us feel like we were resting in an actual lavender field. The bathroom (shared with one other room) was spacious, clean and the shower had a great head with a dial-your-own style spray so everyone is happy! We will definitely book with Robin again on a future trip to PT, and highly recommend her place to fellow travelers!

    Mike2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Robin is a magnificent host. She is readily available if you need but gives you ample privacy. This was my first time experiencing a B&B with a shared bathroom with other guests. The bathroom was spotless everyday and each guest had their own drawer to store toiletries. My room was clean and comfortable. The towels were changed after a few days. She served a light breakfast each morning that was filling and could be eaten outside. My favorite part of my stay is the garden. The pictures of the garden do not do it justice. The garden is beautifully decorated and if you are lucky you might see a hummingbird or two in the morning. I highly recommend staying at Robin’s Nest. I will definitely return.

    Tracy2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Robins nest was perfectly located and provided the exact amenities we needed for our weekend get away. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. The silverwater cafe robin recommended was awesome. Robins breakfast in the morning was the perfect set up. Her attention to detail with individual containers for everything was so thoughtful. I would highly recommend Robins nest to anyone.

Loft bedroom (with queen size bed) and kitchenette. The kitchenette contains a large sink, hutch with dishes and towels, etc., a toaster oven, electric cook pan, electric kettle, and a mini fridge. Outdoor fire pit and small grill for outdoor cooking… Bathroom area consists of a shower and toilet (6 gallon hot water tank). Heat is wood stove, plus oil and electric heaters. Owners live on property, as well as one other apartment rental/tenant.
Marrowstone Island, just southeast from the Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend is a rural island with spectacular shoreline vistas, evergreen trees, and an inspiring, pastoral beauty. The main town of Nordland lies in the center of the island and has a small general store. Get lost on fern drenched trails at Fort Flagler State Park, on the North end of the island -- also known for its historical bunkers and beaches. There is a bridge connecting the island to the mainland, and Port Townsend is 13 miles away, with access to great restaurants, shops, music and the ferry to the San Juans.
  • Singing Frog Cabin was charming and idyllic! We loved the rustic feel and decor, the little frog pond right outside the door — where the frogs really do sing! — and the stunning view of Puget Sound beyond. Our 2-yr-old daughter was charmed by the the two resident goats and the flock of chickens. Dane & Kathryn were friendly and attentive to our needs. We appreciated all the little farm touches that made us feel welcome, including fresh garden produce waiting for us on the table when we arrived! We would love to go back and would definitely recommend it to friends.

    Dan2016-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Dane & Kathryn are great hosts. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely magical. The cabin itself was adorable with quite a view. We woke up to apples from their orchard and the cutest goats and chickens. This was a great place for us to explore ONP then head back to regroup. I highly recommend considering this wonderful piece of land. PS loved the cabins quirky cool character! Best books and wall art! Dane & Kathryn y'all are the best. We will never forget out honeymoon!

    Suzanna2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay! The cabin was beautiful inside and out! My daughter love the goats, dogs, and chickens. Would definitely recommend to a friend. :)

    Josh2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is so lovely! Would come here again!

    Iris2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kat was gracious and so thoughtful! She had sparkling blackberry water waiting for us as well as farm fresh eggs. She even left us a thoughtful home made gift for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. The cabin alone was magical and restorative, the hosts were the icing on the cake. The animals were sweet and fun, and we totally admire the beautiful farm that they run. Thank you for a fabulous farm stay!

    Becky2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical and cozy cabin! A perfect place to get away by myself and hang out and get some work done. Kat & Dane have created a beautiful welcoming and private place and I'm glad I had a chance to spend a few days here. A few notes: The stairs up to the loft are indeed quite steep - if you have to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you may want to sleep downstairs :-) Kitchenette is small, so don't overpack your food (mini fridge quantity only) or bring a cooler. The electric fry pan is awesome! So get creative with your meals, but don't plan on using separate pans to saute or boil pasta. No oven, no roasting, but I'll bet you can get creative. Do go say hello to the goats! They're adorable and love to be loved. Treat yourself to Singing Frog Cabin to get away from the (Website hidden by Airbnb) a really nurturing spot.

    Jennifer2018-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely incredible! Dane and Kathryn stocked the fridge with fresh eggs and chives! Such incredible decor and phenomenal vibes in this perfect cabin. We Definitely will be coming back!

    Ethan2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Singing Frog Cabin is the sweetest spot for a little get away, and Dane and Kathryn were the most welcoming, wonderful hosts. The cabin is cozy, clean, light-filled and picturesque. Kathryn and Dane went above and beyond, with little thoughtful touches such as a fresh bouquet of flowers, farm-fresh eggs, and offering to start the fire for us when they knew we'd be back late. I recommend this spot highly, and hope to come back one day!

  • Sherry is an excellent host and Sherring Lodge Studio has all the basics covered for a comfortable extended stay in an interesting and peaceful natural environment. My expectations were well satisfied and I would certainly return again for another month.

    Donald2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was much larger than expected and had a large, separate bedroom with lots of closet and storage space. My only challenge was working with the limited kitchenette but I managed ok for the 3+ months I stayed Sherry, the host, lives across the courtyard and is very generous with ideas and suggestions to enhance your visit. She also has a great flower garden and shared her lovely flowers A real bonus was having a full washer and dryer in the unit, and Parking so convenient. Location is south of the downtown and uptown areas but an easy drive and close to public transportation and grocery shopping and other services. There is so much to do every day in Port Townsend and Sherry’s place makes it easy to get to everything

    Judy2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry's studio offers complete privacy and convenience. One can quickly drive to downtown, to Fort Worden, and to points south and west. Sherry was very generous in explaining local features and in providing information and even food surprises occasionally.

    John2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry was a fabulous host and I really enjoyed my stay at her place. Bigger than a studio, it had a separate bedroom and a large living/eating area. Having a washer and dryer was a plus. The kitchen was small but worked fine for me. A peaceful, quiet location within 10 minutes of the beach, town, Fort Warden....everything was nearby. I had all the privacy I wanted, yet Sherry was available any time and made sure I had what I needed (she even provided slippers!). Sherry had lots of great tips, was easy to communicate with, and it was a true pleasure getting to know her. I look forward to returning there!

    Donna2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully private place, much larger than expected. The kitchen is small, but was loaded with everything I might need, and was completely adequate for my three month stay. Sherry is an absolutely delightful person and eager to please, providing lots of info about the area. All in all, a terrific value!!!

    Rebecca2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry's LODGE is a wonderful separate apartment with full living room/office, kitchen/bath, bedroom. Lovely window views out to her garden and towering trees of the neighborhood. Loved every minute. Sherry an un-paralleled resource of knowledge and insight into Port Townsend area and folk. She was just what I needed as I move into town. Her place can't be beat!

    Leslie2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I just had a wonderful 4 week experience lodging in Sherry's studio. She is a superb host. Sherry was very kind and helpful, going out of her way to make sure my stay was a very pleasurable experience. Sherry's studio is very quiet, as well as central to all that Port Townsend offers. Deer, and beautiful birds abound, in her yard and on the street. What more could a person want?

    Jacqui2015-10-30T00:00:00Z

From the organic mattress to the garden space outside your door, I hope to offer you a space you will feel comfortable that adds to your stay in Port Townsend. The queen size bed makes this perfect for two, but there is also a foldaway/daybed for a third person. Dogs: Please see "Other Things to Note" below. This private setting is walking distance to Fort Worden and North Beach, and just a little further walk or drive to Uptown and Downtown. City business license #012047.
My place is in a sunny part of town and I am continually enhancing my natural gardens to attract birds and other wildlife. As a naturalist my space is nature-centric and eco-friendly. Most of my materials and cleaning supplies are organic or natural, and I strive to keep it a fragrance-free space. There is wifi, but the space is TV-free. Please remove your shoes indoors to it remain clean.
My house is in a quiet neighborhood, high on a hill that slopes down to Fort Worden State Park, with trails, beaches, bunkers and views of Puget Sound and the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Fort Worden hosts festivals, events, and concerts year-round, as well as yoga, the Marine Science Center, the PT School of Arts, restaurants, and more.
  • Vicki's place was a wonderful stay for us. It's located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood close to the state park, beaches, and hiking trails, and had everything we needed for a comfortable two day stay. We especially enjoyed having breakfast looking out at the flowers in the garden, as well as vicki's beautiful arrangements of the same flowers in the apartment. Bed was especially comfy and plenty of hot water for showers. We'll be back!

  • Vicki's place was lovely and in perfect proximity to Fort Warden where we saw Modest Mouse! She was extremely responsive to my messages and very flexible when my husband joined us for the second night. Although it's a bit of a drive out of downtown Port Townsend, you'll love the self-guided tour through the lovely Victorian homes and farms on your way back to the homestead. You're close to North Beach and literally in walking distance of Fort Warden. It's quiet and absolutely lovely. DO enjoy Vicki's impressive use of garden space and undulating hills of greenery and thoughtfully designed rain gardens.

    Erinn2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place is in a great location if you want to explore Port Townsend. It is within walking distance to pretty much everything. Also, there's a nicely sized tub if you enjoy baths. Vicki was out of town but her co-host was great with communication. It was a bit too rainy to enjoy the backyard but it was lovely nonetheless.

    Tracey2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place was wonderful! The room was beautiful and surrounded by lovely gardens. Comfortable bed and very large bathroom/closet. Everything I needed was provided. Communication was great too. Quick drive into town and an easy walk to Fort Worden. Would definitely stay again!

    Heidi2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki’s place was a delight to stay at. It was immaculately clean recently renovated. I really enjoyed my own little garden outdoor seating area, the Decour, the way the space was set up, everything I needed. And it was quiet, lots of trees and aesthetically pleasing.I would highly recommend staying here. Vicki was quickly responsive to any of my questions for communications. Far as I’m concerned five stars.

    Satya2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place is quiet, cozy and well-equipped, in a great neighborhood convenient to Fort Warden and the town. Guests virtually have their own small unit and parking area that is quite independent from the rest of the house. Windows look onto conifer trees and lovely new landscaping, while a cozy gas fireplace heats the main room. While dominated by a (lavishly comfortable) bed, the small room doesn't feel cramped. There's plenty of room for an expandable table and a setee, and a sleek kitchenette area that has all one needs to refrigerate and reheat food, make coffee and wash up. The bathroom is large & modern, with its own instant zone heating. The place has thoughtful small touches. Vicki is responsive and considerate, and this is a great new addition to places for a getaway to Port Townsend.

    Dana2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, peaceful space, beautifully decorated, very cozy with a great fireplace, and the extra bed can serve as a wonderful reading nook. Vicki provides many thoughtful touches and is very helpful. The location is great for Fort Worden -- a few blocks down the hill (be prepared to walk back up), or meandering through a combination of streets and public trails. I enjoyed walks on the beach and a class at Port Townsend School of the Arts. Highly recommended and I hope to return.

What IS it, about a periwinkle house? Your private room is in this light and open, peaceful home on a quiet street in Port Townsend, approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. It is tucked in by the blackberries, wild roses and fir trees, next to one of PT's walking trails.
I love meeting travelers! Even if you're just popping up to Port Townsend from Seattle, everyone always has a story, and a lens on life that broadens my own. Welcome to my home. The house is located in what I call "the suburbs" of Port Townsend: not Uptown, not Downtown, but atop one of the first hills as you're heading away from each. It's about a 5 minute drive - or a 30-40 minute walk to downtown. Your room is peaceful and calm -- the kind that makes you exhale when you walk in. The knotty pine doors, simple rocking chair, a wee bit of art, and a fluffy blue duvet invite you to slow down, snuggle in to your queen-sized bed, and relax (don't be thrown off -- sometimes I'll have a sunshine-yellow and white duvet cover on the bed... still inviting, still comfortable). The room-darkening shade makes it easy to sleep-in.... We'll even stop Time for you -- pausing the pendulum on the old kitchen clock, leaving it silent, while you sleep. In order to create a space where you can get away from the trappings of modern life, there is no TV, but feel free to access the wi-fi to watch movies on your laptop using headphones. (I tend to turn off the wi-fi late at night, for better dreaming... but it'll be back on, in the morning!) I enjoy getting to know my guests, so please feel welcome to enjoy the main living areas of house. In the summer months, the front porch is a wonderful place to hang out. As you'll see, the garden is a work in progress... deer, bunnies, butterflies and birds are always around - it gets a bit Disney-esque around here, and if you don't move too quickly, the deer will glide in and rest on the garden knee-wall, while you're drinking your tea. I think you'll enjoy being here!
The neighborhood is quiet, with easy access to wooded trails. We actually have little kids who play and ride their bicycles in the street (like back in the old days), about a block up the road. In the other direction, at the end of the block, there's a stellar view of Mt. Baker, and out into the straits. Plenty of blackberries to pick in August... and that kind of ease that prompts us to say with a combination of wonder and gratitude, "Wow. We live here."
  • Katherine's home is suffused with peace and quietude, and you may find yourself inspired to emulate some elements of the life when you get back home. The essentials are just perfect. That bed is the best! The location is silent and I suggest a walk along one of the hilltop roads. Simply lovely.

    Cathy2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Love Katherine's spot! It's just up the hill from downtown Port Townsend, with a stunning view of Mt. Baker down the street. Katherine is super chill and easy-going, and her place reflects that, very calming and mellow. Katherine is a great host as well, super friendly, thoughtful and helpful.

    Patrick2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was a most generous host. Hers is a warm and welcoming home.

    Evan2018-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was a great host, the house was clean and cozy and located in a very nice neighbourhood. We definitely recommend this place.

    Philippe2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment I pulled up I knew I was in at a special place. Katherine's home is a welcoming blue sight with it's tiny colorful flags along the porch gently bobbing in the wind. The air is fresh, and the sound of wind chimes tinkle in the breeze. I spot a family of deer was grazing on blackberries nearby... and I haven't even opened the door yet. Katherine was not home yet but made sure to give me detailed directions on what to do upon arrival if she had not arrived yet. The directions were clear, concise, and covered any questions I might have in her absence. The house had personality, the smell of it's wooden doors makes you feel like you're in a cabin. It was extremely clean. It was late afternoon and I found myself in a bright sunlight bedroom, or maybe it was the yellow bedding- it seemed like the room was glowing. I quickly refreshed myself with a shower and a change of clothes after a flight and 2-hour drive from Sea-Tac. Newly rejuvinated I took a short 7-minute drive to Downtown Port Townsend for a fantastic early evening of sightseeing boats. When I got back I met Katherine who was so very friendly and welcoming. We chatted about local sights, whales (i was taking a trip the next day), and other interesting things. I even got a crash course on the living element of Kombucha tea. She was full of interesting facts and stories. A passion of her's seems to be spiritual health and it's a big part of the warm environment shes created.

    Frank2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very much at home at Katherine’s place. Clear in communication and thoughtful. She has an adorable house and is absolutely a great host. It made our stay in PT even better.

    Saide2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine is a wonderful host with a lot of passion and warmth. Her house is beautiful spot on a quiet street and I would stay there again.

    Jeremy2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful room in a pleasant house with a kind host! We only stayed for one night at Katherine's place but it was great. She was very communicative and easy to work with. The room was really nice! The bed is quite comfy and there are blinds so you can sleep in if you want. The shower is nice and hot with good water pressure. I'm sad we didn't get to explore the trails from the nearby trailhead - next time! We were very happy staying here and would do so again in a heartbeat :)

Tranquil room in Strawbale house located on the outskirts of picturesque Port Townsend approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. We live on 3/4 acre with views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainer (on a clear day) and Port Townsend Bay. Although we are in the city limits, we feel as though we are out in the country! We are still a work in progress, so you may see some of our unfinished projects. IF THIS LISTING IS BOOKED WE HAVE ANOTHER LISTING: SUMPTUOUS ROOM IN STRAWBALE HOUSE.
Our hand-built strawbale house is located in lovely Port Townsend and is a 5 minute drive or 30-40 minute walk to downtown. Our little corner room is filled with light and views of Mt. Baker and Port Townsend bay as well as the green field below the house. The two-foot thick walls are hand plastered, lending an organic feel to the room as well as creating a warm and quiet space. Enjoy the 100% wool carpet, cotton sheets and natural linen duvet. In order to create a space where you can get away from the trappings of modern life, there is no TV in the room, but feel free to access our wi-fi to watch movies on your laptop using headphones. Our sweet kitty Tibby will most likely come and visit you as well! We are very social people and love to get to know our guests so please feel welcome to enjoy the rest of the house! The bathroom is just a few steps away across the hall from your room and has a separate shared toilet space. As you will see, our house and property is still a work in progress! There are still unfinished aspects to the house and we have yet to accomplish much outside landscaping due, in part, to a lack of deer fencing. Therefore, anything we plant will get eaten at this point! With this being said, our home is very comfortable and functional and we think you will love being here.
Although we are within the city limits, you will feel as if you are out in the country. Our little lane will take you past a charming neighborhood of houses but our 3/4 acre feels private and serene.
  • We have had many, stellar AirBNB experiences and Sheryl and Tim's home ranks among our favorite. It is the coolest house, built with such cunning and imagination and love. We were made perfectly welcome and appreciated every minute

    Maggie2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a restful, artsy home with hosts who were very welcoming. It's a one of a kind place on the edge of town...feels like you're in the country even though you're just a few minutes from the center of town. Their creative vision and beautifully designed home provided a welcome oasis for us.

    Margo2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and setting. Sheryl and Tim were extremely courteous hosts and we really enjoyed our stay.

    Will2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Super quiet room and comfortable. Great location just minutes to the marina. Sheryl is a gem and knows the best hangout places in town.

    Michael2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and unusual house built by the owners, the space is clean and well kept, with artsy touches and basic necessities (towels, extra blankets). My stay was very short, so though the host welcomed me to I didn't have time to use the kitchen or living room area. The area is very close to downtown, but far enough that is so wonderfully quiet at night. Will most certainly come again for a longer stay.

    Yi Tyan2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • The bed was really comfortable and the claw foot soaker tub is amazing. The shower has two heads and is big enough for two. Sheryl and her husband are super nice casual people.

    Kimberly2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sheryl and Tim's home is one of a kind - absolutely beautiful and so cozy! Loved getting the chance to stay here, and would definitely recommend.

    Laura2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Sheryl & Tim's straw bale house. Tim was away so we only met Sheryl but we did see some of Tim's beautiful pieces. Sheryl was a delight to talk to (over delicious muesli) and the room was perfect. The whole house is just incredible and worth making a trip just to see it! By the time we left it felt like we had just stayed at a friend's place.

Relax by the fire pit in the evening, enjoying beautiful sunsets as eagles and shore birds soar above. Experience Tiny House living in a private setting overlooking the Hadlock Marina and the Olympic Mountains. Hiking, biking, kayaking and beach combing all within minutes away, or tour Port Townsend and visit some of its art galleries, shops, fine dining and local wineries.
The tiny house is set in it's own private area, just off of a quiet, paved, dead end road. The house is surrounded by patio area, where you can sit and relax overlooking the bay. The tiny house has a regular queen size bed in the loft area. A small kitchen contains a mini-fridge, microwave, kuric coffee maker and toaster. (cookware and eating utensils suppled). There's a small bathroom with a shower area. Living area has a table and chairs and a small loveseat with pull out sleeper.
Our neighborhood is quiet, very little traffic (3 to 4 cars a day). The beaches are private and we hope our guests will respect this. There is public beach 1/4 mile away. Also many beach areas to explore.
  • This was the perfect get away for our anniversary. The host provided perfect suggestions for places to put our kayaks in the water and dining for the area. The cabin was immaculately clean. The fire pit was loaded with wood and sMores fixings were waiting, as well as snacks and coffee, fresh flowers. All made for an amazing impression. We spent both evenings enjoying the view. This was a lovely experience and I look forward to our next visit!!!

    Naomie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming, well cared-for and well-located “tiny house” near the end of a dead end street with wonderful views of Port Hadlock harbor and proximity to Port Townsend. (Don’t miss Finnriver Cidery, just 5 minutes away.) An excellent place to stay!

    Michael2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • For a tiny house, there was quite a bite of room! The view is stunning. The area quiet and peaceful. And there were thoughtful touches left out for us, such as fresh flowers, fruit, chocolates, and tea. As well as plenty of wood for an evening fire. Just a short drive to Port Townsend where we met up with friends. I would definitely stay here again.

    Christine2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Looking for quiet, tranquility with a serene view to recharge your soul? This "view with a room" tiny home is the answer. The location is private with a safety tether – the hosts live just steps away and helped this little city gal start a fire in the pit. The layout of the home is well planned and very comfortable. Little surprises like fresh flowers and fruit, chocolates, s'more fixings and english muffins + fresh butter were very welcoming. Dana also recommended trying the Ajax Cafe, which can be seen across the water – great views with flavorful PNW cuisine. I will miss watching the Great Blue Heron fishing while having my morning coffee on the porch swing. My stay was very relaxing, calming and restful.

    Joni2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We liked so many things about Eagle’s Paradise. We enjoyed the tiny cottage, the amazing view, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities. This was a wonderful way to spend our anniversary. Patsy and Hugh

  • This is a great little escape for anyone wanting to get away and relax. Dana and Rick were very accommodating. The place was very clean and tidy. With so much to do in the area, the time we spent at the place was mostly in the evening around the fire pit overlooking the bay. A perfect getaway. We just wish we had more time to spend out there.

    Michael2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute little place!! It is just the right size for a couple wanting a home away from home. The hosts are wonderful. All you need to bring is clothes and food for the bbq. Plenty of just right sized wood for a fire in the firepit!

    Katherine2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous location with spotless tiny house. Perfect for a getaway! Comfortable bed and a true sense of privacy. Couldn’t recommend more.

This is a separate listing for a single room with a full sized bed. Ideal for commuter. I will not be showing you around much since it is a work day, but I can provide a written guide. Please note the commuter room listing is for one occupancy and there is a $8 fee for each additional guest(s) .
Your bedroom is down the hallway (last door to right). Bathroom is right outside your bedroom door.
Even I can't get enough of my living room view of the cove and Crockett Lake. Admirals cove is quiet waterfront suburb that's filled with mostly vacation homes and happily retired folks. Close to Port Townsend ferry (5 min) and downtown Coupeville is (12 min). Most people are happy with what they have here and are very simple folks. Quaint and charming best describes the place.
  • We were on a fishing trip and had a short stay here. Kim’s place is wonderful! I didn’t expect to find such a great place with a low budget. Highly recommend!

Simply a sweet spot for a peaceful getaway or retreat. Not a bad seat in the house.
Friendly neighborhoods in this walking and bicycling town, scout around the many trails, parks and beach walks. Two boat havens to explore, three big wharfs along the waterfront and downtown. Two block walk to a Carnegie Library, and 4 blocks to Uptown shopping, eateries, and pubs. • Carol is super friendly and attentive. Her home is perfect. It's cozy, comfortable, centrally located and clean. I would recommend for anyone passing through or spending a few nights in the area.

  • We were in Port Townsend for the Wooden boat festival. Carol's place was within walking distance in a nice quiet pretty neighborhood. Carol showed us great breakfast item's for us to eat. She gave us two keys and made us feel free to make ourselves at home. The house is that of an artist with jewel toned blues, greens, and purples.

  • One of our best AirBnB experience. We instantly felt at home. Carol is a great host ready to give advice whenever you need so while respecting your need of privacy.

  • We had a great stay at Carol's place in Port Townsend. It's a really cool house with lots of flare and style and in a great location. Everything was thought out and placed. We enjoyed the massage chairs and having breakfast in the kitchen. We would definitely come back and stay again.

  • Carol was very responsive. The home was clean and the bed was comfortable.

    Nicholas2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Carol since she was away when we stayed, we thoroughly felt at home in her comfortable, warm, and restful sanctuary. Her place is a short walk to uptown and a nice walk to downtown. Very convenient! We will definitely stay there again.

    Lauren2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, quiet, magical home. Generous and kind host. Carol's place is one I will return to again and again.

  • Dane and Kathryn's place was wonderful, just as described. The place was super cute, the kitchen had ample space for cooking, and the beds were quite comfortable. The goats and chickens seemed quite happy to see us and my daughter loved interacting with them. The Roost is in a great location for exploring Marrowstone - make sure to visit the wonderful parks and beaches while you're there.

  • This Airbnb is in my Top Five. I loved the simple feeling of the apartment - it fits well with Marrowstone Island and the farm. The sunset from the windows was stunning. That being said... HEADS UP: the accomodations at Plum Nelli farm truly offer "simple living". There is no wifi. And there is no shower (there is a bathrub!)

    Lexa2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, welcoming place in a rural setting. Small details make you feel right at home. Thanks for the amazing eggs for breakfast, and snack time apples! We hope to stay again in the future!

Tiny house made of reclaimed cedar located between Mystery Bay and Fort Flagler state parks. Just down the road from east beach county park (dog paradise) and the charming Nordland general store. This unique home has 2 sleeping lofts/full kitchen/tile shower all packed into 240 sq feet!! for people capable of climbing to a loft to sleep and comfortable using a composting toilet/outhouse. Super close to the water and mountain views. Local winery, creamery and lots of cider close by as well!
Tiny home made of reclaimed lumber locally sourced from a mountaineering legend. Super classy and comfy! I've a soaking tub and a fire pit as well. Great space for couples, solo adventurers and small families. I've got plenty of games and puzzles for a rainy day.
Quiet and calm. Seasonal frogs, lots of morning doves.
  • This cozy little tiny house was such a sweet place to get away for a weekend. We didn't spend too much time exploring all that the island had to offer, but we were impressed by beautiful view offered by a short hike from Andrews place, and by the general store. Port Townsend was about 30 minutes away via some fairly quiet roads. Andrew was also really nice and easy going, and provided firewood so we could have a small fire. The cabin was super cozy with everything you need for a night or two, including a super cozy bed and some fun ambient lights. I probably wouldn't bring 3 adults here, but it was super cozy for 2.

  • All the yes! This tiny home is beautifully crafted and was a perfect weekend retreat from the city. It was comfortable and cozy and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

  • Unique place that was very enjoyable to stay at. Would recommend! Particularly enjoyed the vinyls & the record player, the private trail to the bluff and the fire-pit.

  • The craftsman cabin was the perfect place for a getaway with my dog. Plenty of local spots to walk and swim and close enough to town for visiting restaurants and sights. Would visit again!

    Emily2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Although the tiny house is charming, we did not enjoy it. The loft is not tall enough head space wise to access (ingress or egress) without being on your belly while still standing on the stairs shimmying on your belly - it is more claustrophobic than traditional lofts. You cannot dress/undress or sit up while in bed. This may be acceptable to some, but it was quite uncomfortable for us. Also - the Tiny House advertises that it has a composting toilet. It does NOT have a composting toilet (which is a system that treats human waste - often with carbon additives, such as sawdust - as compost). Instead, the Tiny House has a five gallon bucket lined with a garbage bag. It is unpleasant. The woodworking inside and the forest setting is beautiful. And it was nice to have coffee and cream on site. Marrowstone Island is also beautiful.

  • Such a great place! The tiny home is very well built and in an amazing location. Andrew recommended fun things to do, left us tasty pancake mix, and the tiny home was overall awesome. It had everything we needed for cooking, and it was very clean and cozy!

  • We lovvvved staying at the tiny house. It is so charming and peaceful. Andrew was quick to respond, accommodating, and a thoughtful host. It was wonderful to be out in the woods, make a fire, and even take a trip into Port Townsend. I will definitely return and recommend this place to others!

Nine Mile Farms Outreach presents this dreamy take on off grid glamping. Located on Marrowstone Island make it base camp for exploring Port Townsend, the Olympic peninsula,& coast. Many island beaches and parks to enjoy with sunnier sky’s thanks to the infamous "banana belt".Unplug in the truest sense of the word with no electricity or running water.Tent is set up for 2 additional sleeping options for up to a total of 9 available when you rent the entire property (message me for details).
The "tent" is a simple wall tent with waterproof canvas tarp style walls and zip entry void of locks. repurposed pallet board crates make up the wood flooring. A king size bed (made up European style-no top sheet, 100% cotton bedding topped with a lofty down comforter), night tables, dresser and comfy seating are some of the furnishings. Lighting is provided via battery powered string lights above and two bedside table camp lamps, bring head lights and or flashlights to supplement. If there are three in your party the generous size couch can be made up for the 3rd wheel and a curtain can be drawn between the two sleeping spaces providing a measure of privacy. Onsite regularly serviced porta potty available or follow the trail behind the tent under a cedar tree canopy to the a private bucket style forest toilet. Flush toilets coming soon! Roast s'mores on your private brick patio in the fire ring -burn ban permitting- for accurate info please go to (Website hidden by Airbnb) or call the county (Jefferson) for up to date fire code. For inaccurate info feel free to ask the neighbors. Firewood is provided free of charge. Just steps from the tent locate a classic style pic-nic table for eating, food prep and games as well as fire pit and a basic outdoor kitchen set up with single burner camp stove requiring butane fuel. A gravity fed style sink (no hot water and nondrinking) faucet, dish soap, ample space for cutting, preparing and eating. Also provided; dishes, utensils, French press, skillets, sauce pans, bowls, mugs, cups etc. As well as salt pepper, coffee, tea, sugar. We recommend all eating to be done outside to discourage critters from sleeping quarters. There is no heat so pack accordingly as evenings can get chilly. Meditate, do yoga, read a book, write a book!, knit, or sit back and enjoy a beer if that is what you wish.
A stop into the Nordland General store, is a must, if you have the time a stroll down the dock completes the visit. If your a shower a day person, Fort Flaggler ( 5 min. drive up the island) has full service public restrooms complete with showers (bring some quarters) flushing toilets, and not a bad view of the straits and Port Townsend. If Laundry is something you find yourself needing, Port Hadlock has a fine one, situated next door to the QFC market. Throw in a load and head across the street to the "Valley Tav" for the best veggie burgers around! no joke. Nine Mile Farm Camp sits peacefully at the end of an intentionally underdeveloped short plat. The property is made up of over 5 acres and is heavily treed with Grand Firs, large Western Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maple, Alder, Doug Fir, and many other native shrubs including edible berries such as huckleberry, salal berry, salmon berry. Micologists (mushroom hunters) are sure to find the treasure they seek growing fruitfully in these forests. Neighbors live symbiotically with the land, many are without electricity or city water as guests will experience as well. Please be conscious of the surrounding area and its inhabitants, animals and humans alike respecting normal quiet hours within reason.
  • We had a great time! Sarah’s explanation of the tent and kitchen cabin are spot on. No surprises. Would definitely go back.

    Barbara2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Glamping at 9 mile farms was so great! The bed was super comfy and the sounds of the forest were musical! The kitchen house was bigger and better than I was expecting! We loved sipping coffee on the porch every morning! It was so great to be off grid and to unplug from the digital world for a bit. We rode bikes and rented kayaks and had a really great time! I would definitely stay there again!

  • Outrageously gorgeous place peppered with thoughtful touches of magic and convenience!

    Anastasia2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • My teenaged kids and I had so much fun. The place was just as described, wonderful!! Direction to the place was accurate so we didn’t get lost. The bed was comfortable and warm. Down comforter was enough at night. We didn’t use extra blankets. The kitchen was amazing. Even without running water, Sarah made the kitchen very convenient. Able to wash small dishes and ash covered dirty hands after bonfire. Plenty of firewood to use for us. We did shower every morning at the Fort Flagler Park (must visit). Perfect reason to explore the park. People (Rangers and who works there) are so kind and nice. So are deers. There are so many very friendly deers. We saw many bucks and took pictures right in front of my eyes. They don’t mind people watching them!! It was a great experience and my teens loved it!! Thank you so keep Sarah!

    Mi2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first 'glamping' experience - and I loved it! I am from the area, but wanted a getaway place with my cousin. We had a great time and really enjoyed the beauty and the solitude of Sarah's place.

    Emily2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute space! Watch out for the toilet situation and neighbors were a bit aggressive with us, but other than that we had such an amazing time on Marrowstone Island!

    Angela2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the glamping! Sarah's place was adorable, filled with so many thoughtful little touches and charm. Beautiful land, adorable tent, even more adorable kitchen and dining house. We can't wait to go back!

  • Claude and Barbara's Airbnb was just wonderful. We were welcomed with smiles, stories and a 'tour' of the rooms. Everything was just right including the fresh ground coffee, croissants, flowers and a delicious warm tomato off the vine! The house is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to downtown, uptown, an historical waterfront park and marina.

A hidden gem in Port Hadlock. This is a beautiful little cabin perched on the bluff, overlooking Port Townsend Bay, Indian Island, Mount Baker and more. Take in a stunning sunset with a glass of wine or a coffee in the morning while watching sailboats and sea life from your front porch.
This quaint and private cabin is furnished with all of the basic amenities you need for a simple yet comfortable and enjoyable stay while you take in your view of the bay and the tranquility of our area. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and explore all within a few miles of the cabin. Some of our favorites include Finn River Farm and Cidery, The Keg and I, Ajax Cafe and Farms Reach Cafe. Within walking distance there is a QFC for grocery shopping, breakfast and lunch at Metro Bagels, or burgers and beers at The Valley Tavern. Take a short drive to the Chimacum Corner Farmstead for an incredible variety of locally grown produce and organic foods. Port Townsend is a short drive away as well. We are more than happy to provide recommendations for must-see stops during your visit. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, hot plate, and toaster oven. An outdoor barbecue is available for cooking as well. Things to note: If we are accommodating more than two guests we can make up the loft bed. Guests sleeping in the loft would need to climb a ladder and for safety reasons we would prefer children do not climb up to the loft. The bathroom is equipped with a wash basin, hot water shower, and composting toilet (with easy to follow instructions posted).

The Sea Loft is one house from the beach, one house from Chetzemoka Park, one block to Point Hudson Marina down a private path.

Karen is a really sweet person and great communicator! When staying there you’re 7 minutes from everything which is luxurious but private too. Strongly recommend and we will definitely stay again on our next trip to PT.

  • This place is really great, maybe one of the best values I’ve ever had on airBnB. Lots of thoughtful touches and all the amenities are very nice, super comfy bed. Maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach. Would definite stay here again!

    Caleb2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at several Airbnbs on the West Coast and Karen’s space & hospitality were the best yet! Her cottage is so very comfortable with all amenities, making you feel at home as though you were visiting with friends or family. And yet having your own private 2-bedroom cottage! We were fortunate to meet Karen during our visit and she was more than gracious, offering much appreciated tips on local places & activities as well as interesting sites in Seattle area. We were in town for an event offered by Centrum at Fort Worden State Park and the location was perfect!! We were able to walk to the park within minutes. Enjoyed yummy meals at ‘Taps’ at the Guardhouse and ‘Reveille’ at the Commons. Great live music, interesting history and scenic trails. We even rented bikes at the park to cover more ground, exploring the Marine Science Center, beaches and Lighthouse. We had a blast! Looking forward to another visit soon! Thanks so much for your sweet hospitality Karen!! JoAnn & ST

  • A descent sized part of her home that she’s changed to a cute little retro cottage. It was very comfortable, very clean and she has thought of everything down to having extra towels, coloring books, umbrella, etc. it was such a pleasant stay. Karen lives in the back the house. She came out to greet us and show us around and respected our privacy. She was readily available if we needed her. Definitely recommend her place

  • Blue Sky Cottage was the perfect home base for our family of four to explorer Fort Warden and Old Town Port Townsend. Karen was a hospitable host and the home was a comfortable stay with great amenities.

  • If you stay here you can expect a very pleasant and comfortable experience.

    Benjamin2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Sky Blue Cottage is a gem! Karen has taken great care to provide a first class experience at the cottage. It is decorated intentionally to recreate a 1950's decor. All the furniture and decor is "like new" condition. It was fun to see all her attention to detail. Beds are new and comfortable. modern bath. Perfect location - only a couple minutes drive to restaurants, shopping and sights. Easy walk to Fort Warden State Park. Can't wait to go back!

    Jennifer2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so great because of its proximity to Fort Warden which often has music events going on, has great walking/biking trails, and beautiful beaches. We also enjoyed the rocking chairs on the patio, the comfortable and pretty bedrooms, and the funky, retro family room. The family room was such a nice place to hang out. Who knew that I would enjoy playing the old records so much! Karen was a great host--very helpful and easy to communicate with. The only downside was the lack of a full kitchen, but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby.

    Jenny2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice place, much better than the pics and description, bigger and better! Comfy with quality touches. All the conveniences a small group would need, nicely appointed: electric car charger, full set of kitchen ware for a non-cooking meal, tv with internet/Netflix, fluffy white towels, comfy beds....

    Meredith2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Linda made us feel so welcome! Everything was beautifully decorated and clean, with all the amenities (coffee, shampoo, conditioner, netflix, etc.) we could ask for. It really felt like home when we were traveling. The best part was the yard and location - so serene and tucked away, with a really pretty garden. My kids loved running around the yard and watching the hummingbirds in the garden. Great home base to explore Port Townsend and the surrounding area!

    Lauren2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This country-side haven is a real jewel. We had three wonderful days there in a very comfortable and attractive apartment. It's the ground floor of the host's home but is completely private. Great lighting through patio type windows keeps the interior well-lighted. The apartment has an especially spacious dining/living room and a good-sized bathroom with walk-in shower. Bedroom is compact but has good closet and storage space. And for once we encountered an ABB lodging with a luggage stand in the bedroom. In other places we've used the ironing board to hold suitcases or opened them on the floor. (Why don't hosts anticipate guests showing up with suitcases??) The grounds and landscaping are absolutely gorgeous. Access to Port Townsend is fast and easy. It's hard to say enough about this ABB lodging and the great hosts.

    Brian2017-04-20T00:00:00Z

  • Linda's place is wonderful. A beautiful setting. Linda and Robert are great hosts. We would definitely stay there the next time we visit Port Townsend.

  • What a beautiful place! The space itself is fantastic - good sized, private, has everything you need, quite comfortable. The grounds are GORGEOUS! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect Pacific Northwest setting. Linda and Robert were very communicative and pleasant hosts. We especially appreciated the tips about places to eat in town - great recommendations! I would love to stay here again!

  • Linda’s welcome was so warm, we felt right at home. The apartment was beautiful, clean & comfortable. The outside setting was so peaceful, we didn’t want to leave. You couldn’t do better!

Watch great blue herons glide in for a landing while sipping your morning coffee in this large, airy, well-lit apartment. Your vacation get-away spot occupies the entire second floor of a cheery bright red barn on a small working farm.
Entirely private, the apartment’s many windows feature spectacular views of the property’s 11 acres of native wetlands, woodlands, gardens, and critters (chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits, 2 friendly dogs, and abundant wildlife). Vaulted cathedral ceilings make the 650 square feet seem even larger! The entire apartment has been recently refurbished with new appliances and fixtures. Electric baseboard heat, a cozy propane stove with flickering flames, windows that open, and an elegant ceiling fan keep the apartment comfortable and romantic year-round. The ample closets, drawers, and shelves will make you want to move in and stay forever.
Port Townsend, with its many cultural attractions, is a 12 minute drive from the apartment. We are centrally located to thriving local farms, wineries, and cideries. Maritime attractions include nearby marinas, whale watching, the Marine Science Center, and the Wooden Boat School. Many outstanding state and local parks are nearby with beautiful beaches, forests, and playgrounds. Easy walking distance to the county library.
  • The Great Blue Heron's Nest was the perfect place to basecamp and recharge for a weekend of hiking and relaxing. Cheri was accommodating, friendly, and kind. The locally sourced snacks and wine were incredibly thoughtful gestures—an added bonus to an already stocked (and super-clean!) dwelling. Coffee, cookware, blankets, maps, tips, etc.—you name it, they've provided it. Thank you so much for opening up your space, Cheri + Rocky! Can't wait to come back!

    Mona2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this listing. It was cozy and comfortable for the three of us (two adults and a five-year-old). We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, watching the goats as we had our morning coffee, and exploring the farm. Cheri and her husband are very welcoming and made us feel at home. I highly recommend this listing to anyone who is looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax & recharge.

    Susan2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri and Rocky were excellent hosts. They very clearly and patiently explained farm life to our 8 yr old granddaughter. The apartment is above a barn and is a 10-15 drive to Port Townsend. We will definitely stay there again.

    Hazel2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very welcomed at Cheri and Rocky's place. There were fresh figs, crackers, cheese, mixed nuts, cookies, fresh cut flowers, and wine waiting for us when we arrived.

    Brian2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful place! So many little touches to make it feel like a home away from home. Would highly recommend!

    Kristen2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing weekend at The Heron's Nest! This is a very well-appointed AirBnB - we appreciated the little touches like cozy blankets, tea, children's books, and little snacks! This is a great home base to explore the greater Port Townsend area, and is just a few minutes up the road from the great Finnriver Cidery and Chimacum Corner Farmstand. Cheri and Rocky were lovely hosts - we enjoyed chatting with them and touring their property, meeting goats and chickens and getting a peek at the beaver dam. We traveled with our 5-month-old baby and there was plenty of room for a pack & play at the foot of the bed for baby to sleep in. Highly recommend!

    Lauren2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri's place was amazing! She was responsive and the place was clean and adorable. The ambiance of the farm was great and we were working locally so location was perfect. It would be a great place to go spend a week and decompress!

  • We had a lovely stay. We enjoyed wandering through the garden and grabbed some plums from the orchard. Comfortable and relaxing. We would stay again!

  • Johnny has been by far the best host we’ve had yet. His place is very cozy and the hot tub was a fun addition to the stay. Johnny had a book of recommendations that was very helpful for exploring Port Townsend and we loved our time at Sirens, his favorite bar.

    Allison2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time at Chez John for our first trip to Port Townsend. Everything from Johnny’s local suggestions to the relaxing hot tub under the stars was really lovely. Easy to find and a short drive into town! Thanks Johnny!

  • We had a lovely stay at Chez John!

    Hannah2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Johnny is a perfect host, his place is wonderfully located--quiet and peaceful--but oh, the decor and the comfort level were really off the charts. When one thinks "romantic getaway" when describing a place, Chez John should be the first thing to come to mind. Beautiful, truly.

    Dean2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Private and quiet apartment in lower level of Johnny's home. JZ was friendly and responded to our questions and requests promptly. The apartment had everything we needed, was peaceful, serene, and tastefully furnished. We would go back again when visiting PT.

    Dan And Merry2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Johnny was very accommodating for our check in time and happily showed us around the cozy space. We loved that the hot tub had a great view of the sky, and we watched the moon rise from behind soughing pines. We wanted a quiet get away, and as we both live downtown, it was almost too quiet at night! Great way to unfrazzle nerves and check out all Port Townsend and the area has to offer. The bed was soft, which my partner loved, and the sheets were pretty silky, which I loved. Made for a good night’s sleep once we got used to the quiet.

    Rachel2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Johnny was hospitable and welcoming when we arrived, and gave us our space the rest of our stay. The hot tub was broken and he got us a gift certificate to the local spa which was aMAZing!! Very sweet place with thoughtful touches.

Private ground floor suite in a straw bale house, with private bath, a large sitting area with two brown leather couches, a screen for DVD's and Netflix, and two bedrooms each with a comfortable queen sized bed. NOTE: There is no formal kitchen. Very centrally located in Port Townsend, a nice 20-30 minute walk from downtown, uptown, Fort Worden, and North Beach! A clean, private, uncluttered space.
This is a very private ground floor three-room space, with its own entrance and private bathroom. THERE IS NO KITCHEN (The City of Port Townsend doesn't allow full kitchens in guest suites). We provide a hot water boiler for our fresh roasted fair trade organic coffee (from Port Townsend Coffee Roasters) and a selection of teas . To make coffee, we provide a fast hot water boiler, Melitta style filter cones, and fast flow coffee filters. If you are unfamiliar with making pour over coffee, ask us how! We also provide a toaster oven for light snack types foods, and all sorts of utensils, dinnerware, glasses and cups. There is a dining table and chairs in the common room that comfortably fits two people, and we also have two extra chairs, to squeeze in around the table. You walk in from the outside through your own private entrance, and this leads to the first room. This room gets good light and is the first bedroom.. Your private bathroom is located here in this bedroom along with the supplies closet. After you walk through this room, you will come into the Sitting Room, which was actually designed to be a home theater at one time. Along with two comfortable, high backed pull-out double-bed couches this room has a smart TV screen (Netflix, but no TV channels), DVD and Video players, and a collection of many DVDs and Videos. This sitting room also has a large bookcase as well as the round table for two and chairs. This room, being a former 'home theater', has no exterior windows, although there are many lights in the room. You then come to your second bedroom, privately tucked away. It has two windows, a queen sized bed, desk and chair, and shelves for your clothes. There are two doors and a set of stairs separating this whole floor space from the rest of the house for a great amount of privacy. Directly in the hallway is a refrigerator exclusively for your use. We live in a straw bale house, which makes it cozy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is located halfway between Downtown and Uptown, and Fort Worden, with walking paths and forest nearby, yet very close to town (10 minute bike ride on a safe bike lane or 30 min walk to downtown). One of the nicest and most accessible Food Co-ops anywhere is one mile away, and the Port Townsend Saturday Farmers' Market is a 20 minute walk from the house. There is a walking trail that passes nearby our house, perfect for exploring this part of Port Townsend on foot. We are also right on the path to Cappy's Trails, a trail system through the extensive woods that are right in town, and a 20 minute walk to Fort Worden, with beaches, trails, Centrum music events, and many historical artifacts from the late 1800s. Centrum, at Fort Worden, with Fiddle Tunes, Jazz Festival, Blues Festival, and Voiceworks, is a 15 minute walk or short bike ride from the house. It is the same distance to the Fairgrounds, with its weekly events and the Jefferson County Fair in August(URL HIDDEN) We can tell you about events, attractions, and places to go to (or not). We're very familiar with town and the surrounding areas, and we own a coffee house called 'Better Living Through Coffee' right in the center of town on the water. I have roasted coffee for almost thirty years and always supply fresh roasted Organic Fair Trade coffee to my guests with a pour over set up, as well as loose teas and tea filters. If you use milk or cream, you can bring some and store it in the refrigerator that is right outside your rooms. If you are planning to come to Port Townsend for one of the Centrum's festivals (Jazz, Blues, Writers' Workshop, Voice, or Choro), please ask us about a weekly rate for the space. We are Michael and Elisa. We do not have any pets, and are fairly quiet people, although we are known to play the piano and fiddle when the mood strikes and if no one minds the music! We look forward to your visit…..Please ask us any questions through the (website hidden) and we will answer quickly. Take care, Michael and Elisa
Our place is centrally located: 1 mile to uptown, 1 mile to Fort Worden, and 1 1/2 miles to downtown. For us, these are all in easy walking or biking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with a lot of open space and walking trails.
  • Michael and Elisa were extremely communicative and welcoming. They had an open and warm presence. The rooms were as advertised and very cosy. It was nice and cool in there despite the particularly hot weekend. And this was (I believe) without A/C so it wasn't just reprocessed air or anything. ANYWAY, it was a great weekend and Michael and Elisa were wonderful.

    Alex2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time staying at Michael and Elisa's. The room was comfortable and clean. The coffee was amazing! Michael and Elisa are a pleasure to get to know. This is my second time staying here, and I will definitely be back.

    Brock2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • I was greeted by the wafts of the greatest coffee I have tasted in a long time coming from the roasting barn. Michael and Elisa made me welcome and the space was great for me to get reorganized in. The living space let me spread out and repack for my trip back to Arizona. I slept well in the bed in its own room. I made the great coffee early in the am in the kitchen nook; and then I went to their café for breakfast and coffee with a coupon from Michael. Michael & Elisa are special; Port Townsend is special; so it's a must visit!

    Jan2014-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Arrived to a nice welcome from Michael and Elisa who gave us a tour of the space, explained our rooms and amenities. This is three rooms in the lower level of a house. Comfy beds, lots of space. Came with some amazing coffee that Michael roasts on-site. We were able to have our dog; there is a little dog park right across the street and some nice trails and walks. This house is part of a large, co-housing community and has beautiful gardens and common spaces. If you are noise sensitive, note that you are below the couple who live upstairs and there is a water heater in the back that runs when anyone uses hot water. These weren't really challenges unless we were wanting an afternoon nap. Otherwise the neighborhood is quiet and out of the way of the usual touristy throngs of the area.

    Anna2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • I suffered a major user-error with the door, which led me to calling Michael at midnight. Michael was very nice about it and walked me through the mechanical details. He even comped us breakfast at his awesome coffee shop for our trouble – which was totally unnecessary, but greatly appreciated. Location is far enough from town to feel a bit country, yet close enough to get lots of Port Townsend-time. The unit is clean, private, and comfortable.

    Britany2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Michael and Elisa’s place. It was roomy, clean, had everything we needed and close to town. And there is a lovely walking path right next to them with wonderful yard art along its way. I highly recommend staying here!

    Brandy2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood--and very comfortable beds. It is a basement apartment (the bedrooms do get nice natural light), and so this is a very good choice for people who are going to be out and about during the day, as we were. Michael and Elisa are also very helpful and friendly.

    Alma2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Elisa were easy to communicate with and helpful with directions. Their house is well located for visiting Port Townsend in a quiet residential neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and occupy the whole ground level. The amenities are simple but OK for the price. The decor is plain, and some of the paint and finish could be improved, but overall, clean and decent value for the cost.

  • Lisa took such great care of us (Lee was out of town helping with Race to Alaska). When we arrived we were immediately me to feel at home and down around to the room and the parlor with the amazing view. Breakfast was wonderful; one morning fresh pastries from the bakery up the street, pancakes the next. The view, the location, the great hosts, we would certainly recommend booking at McCurdy House.

  • Lee and Lisa are the epitome of gracious hosts. The location of their charming home was close enough to downtown to easily walk, but far enough away to feel quiet and calm. Breakfast with Lee and Lisa was delightful as well as delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

This unique private penthouse suite has won awards as a romantic getaway. The tree house feeling bedroom is in a turreted tower. Snuggle in a feather topper mattress watching the sunrises over the water, Cascade Mountains and Olympic range. The double-sided tub soaks two. Includes kitchenette, ground coffee and a cozy sitting room with walkout skylights. The window seat offers an additional place to sleep. Upgrades include champagne, roses, bath salts, massage oils. Just ask!
From your bed, you can enjoy an expansive view of the shipping lanes as they funnel into the Puget Sound. Watch the sun rise over the Cascades and set over the Olympics. The space is for adults only and we have fun with it. We enjoy doing the romantic upgrade or stocking food or treats for special occasions. Sleeping in the candle-lit turret on a feather-topped bed, the walk-out skylights and the large tub for 2 are commonly mentioned as favorites . Let us know if we can make your stay more special.
The views are amazing but the walkable location is what makes this fun . One of Port Townsend's great treasures, Chetzemoka Park and the beach, is a mere 3 blocks away. Houses in the neighborhood are varied and interesting -- creative expressions of nature-oriented homeowners. The Port Townsend Farmers Market (http://jcfmarkets.org/saturday), winner of the prestigious Washington State Farmers Market of the Year Award, is less than a ten-minute walk from your door. The market features regionally grown organic produce, line-caught fish and pasture-raised meats and eggs, locally-crafted cheeses and brews, and a whole lot more. Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, April through December.
  • The view loft was great, very comfortable and more spacious that we thought it would be. It’s a great location, close to the Saturday market and an easy walk to downtown. The location was very quiet and the loft has lots of windows and great views. We ate out a few times, but mainly cooked/heated up pre-prepared meals we brought and kept in the small frig. We met Ann some of her kids and their dogs, everyone was very friendly.

  • Such a charming and light-filled space to spend a relaxing weekend in Port Townsend! I loved the location convenient to so many things, I walked everywhere during my entire stay. I enjoyed the mountain/water views out of almost every window. I took advantage of the big deep tub with a hot bath every night! I also loved that I could grind and brew coffee that was provided in the kitchen, or make tea in the electric kettle. The space is cozy and very quiet. Look forward to coming back for another stay in the summer!

  • The Bird’s Nest Cottage is the perfect place to stay while you are in Port Townsend. It is in a beautiful location on a quiet street and has lovely views from every window and from the private front deck. The cottage is clean and nicely decorated. The full kitchen is completely stocked with all the equipment needed to do your own cooking. The master bedroom has a comfy king size bed. There are two twin beds in the loft which can be reached by a sturdy ladder. We especially enjoyed the fireplace which makes things so cozy on cold mornings or evenings. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer. The cottage is very spacious and we felt right at home there. The location is perfect, within walking distance of Fort Worden and a short distance to all the shops and restaurants in Port Townsend. Sharon and Jerry are wonderful and attentive hosts and very nice people! We have enjoyed getting to know them. We highly recommend this accommodation!

  • You will have a hard time not liking the Bird Nest. The balcony has views of the water and Fort Worden, both a short walk away. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware. The loft, which is accessible by ladder, has two single beds and a cozy little desk area for getting work done. The cottage is tastefully decorated, and has festive lights for the deck. Sharon and her husband Jerry are friendly hosts. We hope to return someday!

  • I really enjoyed it here. I've stayed at a lot of vacation rentals where its furnished like a vacation rental and I have to bring my own knives (because theirs are dull) and pots/pans. But not here! Kitchen is awesome with everything you need and more. The furniture, bed, towels and everything here is furnished like an owner lives here. I recommend staying here! There's a slight view of the water from the rentals front deck and its only a few blocks from Fort Worden with some nice beaches, lighthouse, 3 restaurants and nice walking paths. Its in a quite neighborhood with almost no cars driving by, but still close to Uptown and downtown Port Townsend. I thought it was better than in the pictures.

The tiny house 10 feet x 20 feet with 10 x10 loft is located in a forest setting on our five acres. The loft has a comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom has a full size shower. The kitchen has two hot plate burners, refrigerator, microwave, but no oven. There are dishes, cups, silverware, tea pots, wine glasses, and knives.
  • David has a really sweet tiny house near Port Townsend. I’d highly recommend!

    Nick2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • David’s tiny home is very unique and it has so much character. Mini trail was good to walk with my dog. He played in a pond and soaking wet though:) David is very relaxed and friendly. His dog, Sasha too! I recommend the tiny house very much especially summer time because it has a fire pit. I didn’t do that this time but maybe next stay.

    Yoshi2019-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time staying in David‘s tiny house. The bed was super comfortable and the property dog, Sasha, was really friendly. There were a few things that were disappointing, though. There is another tiny house about 50 feet away, and there were no curtains on the windows so we did not have as much privacy as we would have liked. Also, there was only an office chair and a rocking chair to sit in, so it was not very comfortable to sit around the house and relax and read. This is a good home base to travel around the Port Townsend area, but we did not find that it was a place we wanted to spend much time in or cook in (the only cookware was a pot but without a spatula).

    Eric2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • It as advertised, a tiny no frills home, and it worked out just great for us. Close to town, easy place to rest our heads without having to spend much, would definitely stay again - thank you, David

  • Great place to stay and explore Port Townsend and the surrounding area. Super close to a drive-in movie theater, which was super fun to go to. House is in a great wooded location and the description is very accurate. Friendly hosts, nice dog on property, lovely touches in the build of the house. Would stay here again.

  • Within 15 minutes of Pt. Townsend, 5 min. from excellent San Juan Taqueria, thus efficient tiny home provides a well appointed “galley” for meal prep, easy chair before a fireplace and comfy bed after showering. Terrific price!

  • Great little tiny home!!! One note is there aren’t any blinds on the windows in the bedroom, but it’s private enough that it’s not an issue! David was a very gracious host! Wish we would’ve had time to take the trail to the pond but we definitely will next time!

Sparrow’s Perch sits in a southeast corner, so is drenched in a warm glow of morning sun. Grandma Bertha’s oak vanity is the focal point of the room, topped with her porcelain cosmetics tray. Her favorite reading chair is under the windows. This room has a queen-sized bed with support foam that gently contours the body for an amazing night of sweet sleep. The shared full bathroom has a shower and bathtub.
  • Classy upscale place, modern, comfortable. Great breakfast!

  • Great place to relax, wind down from the busy hustle bustle life we lead in the big city. Robin pampers you every morning with delicious homemade breads, fresh fruits, great coffee, teas, and juices.

  • Robin’s Nest is a quaint and very clean place. The setting is perfect and away from the downtown area. It is close enough to get to downtown in 5 mins. I would highly recommend this stay.

  • Thank you for the amazing hospitality. It was warm and inviting both inside and out the serenity garden was a beautiful touch. One of the best parts about our trip was our stay at your B&B. It was very close to local activities, and not being from the area it was easy to find.

  • Robin's place is divine... bird watching, calm and friendly energy. Robin always goes the extra mile.

  • Perfect place to stay minutes away from Downtown and close to delicious breweries. The breakfast in the morning was so filling that my husband and I would not eat another bite until lunch time. The bedroom was warm and cozy and the sheets on the bed were soft and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had shampoo, conditionerand soap dispenser. The check in was easy and so was the check out. While you eat breakfast admire the wild life on the backyard, it is very diverse. We will be back again.

Our sumptuous room is located in picturesque Port Townsend approximately 30-40 minutes walk from historic downtown. We live on 3/4 acre with views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainer (on a clear day) and Port Townsend Bay on the outskirts of Port Townsend. Even though we are in the city limits, we feel as though we are out in the country. Our street dead ends so there is no thru traffic going by our home. We are still a work in progress, so we have some exterior projects on the go which you will see.
One of the most wonderful aspects of a straw bale house is the sense of safety and quiet that these two foot thick walls provide. The wall surface is stucco and structolite plaster which we troweled on by hand, with the help of our friends and family. The three bay windows provide a lovely territorial view of the trees across the road and of Mt. Baker on a clear day. Our king sized bed is natural latex with cotton sheets and down duvet. The 100% wool carpet feels great on your feet! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROOM IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR SO YOU WILL NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE CLIMBING STAIRS.
Although we are within the city limits, you will feel as if you are out in the country. We are on the outskirts of Port Townsend so it is not right 'in town'. Our little lane will take you past a charming neighborhood of houses but our 3/4 acre feels private and serene.
  • Amazing, magical place. The room overlooks green beauty and brings in incredible light. All the touches of the house are so special and the conversation in the morning over Muesli and coffee was great.

  • Sumptuous indeed! Super cool house and room, and friendly, attentive hosts.

    George2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This home is beyond imagining - the pictures do not do it justice - the craftsmanship in this self-built home is impressive. Enjoyed the super comfy bed and the homemade muesli for breakfast.

  • We've been in hay bale buildings before, but Sheryl and Tims is without question, the best! The room is huge, with a beautiful view, the quiet is blissful. We really enjoyed our time there, getting to know other guests over breakfast, trying Sheryl's excellent Muesli she makes herself. This is a place you owe yourself the treat of experiencing! Don''t miss your chance to book this stay, you will be glad you did.

  • It was so wonderful to have met Sheryl & Tim and such a great experience that we got to chat a little. Their place was very interesting and fun. We would definitely want to go back the next time we are in the area.
