Make your once in a lifetime special memories in KIMONO!
Yes! We can change you to the amazing Japanese looks.
We dress you up in Kimono, set your hair, do makeups,
coach you on kimono behaviors and take photos of you.

This experience will be hosted in our photo studio named
"Smilestone OUCHI photo studio". It is based on a Japanese
old style house that was built 60 years ago.
We renovated this house by ourselves. and We worked at creating a comfortable and cozy space, while keeping the original nostalgic style by leaving the tatami mat, sliding paper doors, and wooden corridor as they were.The studio is full of warmth, has a truly authentic feel and is full of love.

The photo shooting can be attended up to 3 people.
and It is completely private experience.
You can bring your family, significant other,and friends with you.
Of course you can come by yourself as well.

We'll take photos not only your pictures you are posing for
but also we'll capture the moments in relaxed and natural
settings.
We will save around 50 HD photos to your USB or SD card
soon after the photo shoot.
You can get many pictures of your amazing kimono looks!

Hi! I am Kumiko. I have run a photo studio with my husband Genzo. We are both photographers. About Genzo, He worked as an assistant photographer in a commercial photo studio in Tokyo for a long time. Besides that, He used to be an art creator, a writer of Photographic magazines ,etc. He is now a chief photographer in our photo studio. Hol leszünk?

We are located in Koiwa,Edogawa-ku,Tokyo. We are minutes away from the JR Koiwa station. Koiwa is an old lively town in Tokyo. there is 15 min by JR Sobu line from Akihabara and almost 30 min by JR Sobu line from Shinjuku. As there are no particular sightseeing spot in Koiwa, foreign tourists rarely come. so you can see the "real" Japanese daily life around there.

Kumiko-san and Genzo-san made me feel welcome right from the start. Kumiko did very beautiful makeup and braided my hair in a very kawaii style! It was so nice choosing the kimono and obi. They give you lots of directions on how to pose, which was helpful. Their daughter was also very sweet! I highly recommend this photoshoot because they let you keep all the photos, unlike other places where you must only choose a few. They also make it a personal experience and are very patient and kind. They were hospitable too, providing tea and snacks! I loved that we had nice conversation while getting dressed up and that they were so encouraging during the shoot. I visited in winter so there were no cherry blossoms out, but I think that spring would be a great time to visit also! Regardless of when you visit, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with memories you can cherish forever.

Kumiko and Genzo were absolutely amazing. Kumiko did our hair and makeup so beautifully in a way that evoked Japanese style but stayed true to our own personal styles. The kimonos themselves were absolutely beautiful too. It was also so nice to talk about our backgrounds and our experiences with Japanese culture.
