This walking workshop in Huntington Beach will focus on scenic shots, which will lead us to Huntington’s picturesque coast for hands-on practice with the shore’s colors, compositions, and sunsets. You'll learn how to harness and manipulate light, and I'll teach you about the different settings on your camera and how to properly use a tripod. We will also discuss HDR technique to create images with that "wow" effect.
Other things to note
Please bring your camera, tripod, and wide angle lens. Make sure your batteries are charged and your memory card is empty.

I signed up for Corey’s photography class “Capture the coast with a photographer.” He was really accommodating and the experience was so much fun!
I’m heading to Europe this Summer and just picked up a nice camera, although I have not been able to learn all of the settings on my own. I wanted to learn landscape photography before my travels. After Corey’s class, I left feeling extremely confident in my ability to hone my skills for my upcoming trip but more importantly he opened my mind to seeing landscape photography different.
He wasn't into telling me why I should get the latest gadgets but instead he showed me how to work with what I had and get it to achieve what I want. He made me fall in love with my camera
I highly recommend going with him, especially if you are just learning, or if there are subjects that you are getting stuck on and want an expert to teach you in an understanding way how to think through working with your camera and subject. You can tell teaching is one of his passions. Furthermore, he's also a joy to work with and patient and kind.
Thank you Corey for a great lesson and for giving me the confidence to take on my upcoming travels with my camera gear.

Corey breaks down photography in ways that it's easy to understand. I walked away from his Capture the coast class with a very broad understanding and now feel confident that my landscape photos will be much better. I'm also taking his Lightroom class which has been really helpful.
