I will pick you up in the morning at your Hotel and our first stop will be at Santa Maria da Feira. Time to know you better having a cofee and tasting the famous Fogaça, a kind of sweetened white bread with 500 years of history with a shape that resembles the Feira castle.
After Santa Maria da Feira we will proceed to Aveiro. We will take the Moliceiro cruise in the canals, visit the city center and taste the famous Ovos Moles, an exquisite sweet made from eggs and sugar.
Before lunch we will drive around Ria de Aveiro and visit Costa Nova beach, where local fisherman houses are painted in bright colours and rented for the summer season. It is lunch time, and it includes several tasting starters, local dishes and desserts. Local white or red wines are served.

In the afternoon the tour continues with a visit and walk through Lugar da Vista Alegre and visit the museum, showing the factory’s history, the aesthetic evolution of porcelain production and its significance in Portuguese society of the 19th and 20th centuries.

It is now time to return. Hope you enjoyed!

My name is Pedro Cardoso.
Born in Porto, I graduated as an engineer. My father's family is from Resende in the Douro region where we have a small wine estate that also produces cherries. After my marriage I was responsible for a Vinho Verde wine estate in the north of Portugal.
My parents have also a house at Torreira in the Aveiro region. It is a wonderfull place where we use to spend our summer hollidays.
Besides nature and agriculture, one of my passions has always been to discover people and places that now I want to share with you.

The Aveiro lagoon stands as one of Europe's last remaining untouched coastal marshland. Surrounded by canals, the city of Aveiro is the urban center and a prosperous port known for exporting salt and seaweed and famous for its sweets.

I will take you to discover the city, explore the lagoon, taste local gastronomy and witness the magnificent Vista Alegre porcelain production.
