We will visit the most important buildings and places that define the History and Architecture of Downtown Mexico City, which, until the first years of the XXth Century, used to be the entire town . Throughout our walk, we will also find different stores, plazas, parks, cultural centers, coffee shops, taquerías and even food stands that are visited by the locals. .
We will also talk about curiosities of the local culture such as one my favourite streets which was a river before and is full of magnificent and antique architecture, as well as some myths and legends.
This experience is perfect if you want to get to know what to do, where to go and how to move around in Mexico City while you learn about our History, Architecture and Culture.

Before your experience we can talk about your expectations and yoir preferences in terms of places and topics of interest.

The walk starts in one of the most important crossings of the country, exactly on the corner of Eje Central and Madero Street. We will visit the Alameda Park, Plaza Tolsá, Plaza Santo Domingo, Templo Mayor, the Cathedral and Zocalo. In each one of the places, we are going to talk about the architectural and urbanistic information the city has undergone throughout history. At the end we finish on Regina Street just before lunch time.

Raul gives a good tour of the main sites in the heart of Mexico City. As someone who loves architecture Raul’s tour was great to discover the best early 20th century buildings in the downtown area and their history. Raul was friendly and thoughtful and also offered a good insight about life in Mexico today.

It was a great experience. Raul taught me a lot about the history and cultures of México city.
I’m curious about the buildings, thus Raul specialized my trip (only myself that day). He showed me different styles of structures in the city and taught me their designed ideas. He is professional. We had a nice coffee in the end. Highly recommend it.
Due to the cold weather, and no heater in my hotel, and I lost my luggage which is full of my winter clothes in the airport, Raul also helped me find a heater in shopping mall after the trip. I really appreciate him.

Raul was a great guide! He was very flexible about meeting up with us and he showed us some great parts of the city that we would never have come across on our own. It's obvious he has a real appreciation for the architecture and history of the city and he was very knowledgable, even though we threw a lot of unexpected questions at him.
