Having seen frescoes on church and palace walls, why not try painting one for yourself? A painter-architect living in Florence, specialized in the ancient art of fresco painting, will teach you the art of painting frescoes in the ancient Convent of Santa Maria Novella. Using traditional materials and techniques, the tutor will give you an introduction to the history of fresco painting. In a very accurate manner, you'll be guided step by step through the painting of a small fresco, maybe which you will take home at the end. It is an exclusive educational and fun experience for all ages and all artistic abilities. Beginners are very welcome!

This is such a once-in-lifetime experience. I just spent the morning with Emanuele-it was just me so I had 4 hours of private fresco tuition. Emanuele is extremely talented, as well as being an excellent teacher. ‘I’ ( with a lot of help ;)) came away with a beautiful fresco! I would highly recommend this for anyone seeking a unique Italian experience!

This is an experience you must do, more being in a place like Florence. Also because Emanuele is a person who not only knows the technique but teaches you in a clear and simple way, making you enjoy the process, especially when it is the first time you do something like that (as was my case). I also enjoyed the conversation a lot and learned about other techniques... gracias Emanuele!

Prior to booking I read the previous reviews of Emanuele's "Fresco with a View" and I would agreee with each and every review. It is a very special experience, and I loved it! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. Emanuele is a dedicated and passionate teacher, and he eagerly shares his knowledge and expertise. A must do workshops for artists, and those curious to know more about the Fresco process.
