It is aimed at travelers with a regular fitness and exercise taste for contact with nature. Let's live this adventure while enjoying a good chat. This hikeis seven kilometers long.

I like walking and hiking a lot, both in the city of Guanajuato and its surroundings. We have diverse landscapes, from rocky landscapes to oak forests. I enjoy walking, observing and conversing with lifelong friends, and also with new friends who visit us. Walking is a way of living together and learning from each other.

Hol leszünk?

We will hike in the Oak Forest known locally as Sierra de Santa Rosa. You will feel close to the mining history of the area, the festivities of the town, the community projects of the area (ceramics, products made from fruits), and together we will try to identify plants, some of the trees you will see are different types of oaks, tejocotes, tepozanes as well as shrubs such as "cazahuates", "pingüicas" & more. Hear stories of the Old Royal Road.

This was an amazing day! Susana is the perfect guide as she is so familiar with the area and the terrain and makes sure her clients are safe and see the most remarkable scenes. I highly recommend a day hiking with Susana in the oak forest. We also stopped at a lovely restaurant for lunch after our hike, a very special and unexpected treat!

Susana was a wonderful guide. She communicated quickly and accommodated all our needs. She enlisted a local guide who really knew the area. I really liked the park and the restaurant in Santa Rosa. Susana made everything comfortable.

After 10 days in the Guanajuato city centre, it was so wonderful to hike the oak forest with Susana. Susana is very knowledgeable about the trees, fruit, and birds of the area which she pointed out to me. And it was fun tasting different fruits I was unfamiliar with. The ride to Santa Rosa was peaceful - hardly any traffic and after our hike in the forest it was so pleasant walking through the small village with a wonderful, large ceramic store with beautiful and varied artists represented. Also, Susana recommended the restaurant La Virgen de La Cueva, which I walked to from my hotel for a late lunch. Delicious and modestly priced for the value of the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to try out the other restaurants she recommended. I highly recommend this oak forest hike with Susana.
