Mit fogunk csinálni?
I believe streets are the living heritage from where you can learn and unlearn many things. I expose people to everyday lifestyle of common people, different communities of artisans, craftsman etc. This walk help people to know how Udaipur and the communities here make it a sustainable city. Along with the communities and artisans I talk about the history of establishment, architecture of Haveli's, design of the city etc.
Itinerary of the Walk:
Duration: 1.5 to 2.5 hrs (depending on the curiosity of the group)
Distance covered: 3 kms
Pick-up: Chandpole parking (it can change as per the need of the group)
First Stop: Temple Street
Second Stop: Gangaur Ghat
Third Stop: Jagdish Chowk
Fourth Stop: Tinker Street
Fifth Stop: Step Well
Sixth Stop: Haveli and its architecture in detail
Seventh Stop: Clock Tower
Eighth Stop: Biodegradable bowl and plate makers
Ninth Stop: Potters
Tenth Stop: Vegetable Market
Eleventh Stop: Spice Market
Twelveth Stop: Grains Market
Thirteenth Stop: Bamboo art Community
Last Stop: Delhi Gate (from here we will take an auto back to Chandpole Parking)
Other things to note
I request guests to wear comfortable walking shoes, wear sunglasses, hat and carry drinking water. Guests can expect some traffic as the tour will take place on street but in non-touristic localities.

I am a certified doctor of Homeopathic Medicine, a Psychologist, and a pursuing Nutritionist. As I promote health and happiness through homeopathy, counselling, and healthy lifestyle, environment and traditional knowledge have become interests of mine. Being a local of Udaipur, I believe that the city and its communities have a lot of "Food for Thought" for people who want to know and learn about it.
I was born and raised in a "Jain Community" (a community which follows Jainism as a religion) but I follow the Jain philosophy of "Non-Voilence", "Minimalism" and "Zero-Waste" by choice.

Dr. Nishtha showed me a side of Udaipur that I would never have seen on my own. I got a feel for how people live and work in the old city, which I believe is a must wherever you go. Oh, and she's very passionate about sustainability and the environment in Udaipur. This was both a common and interesting topic throughout the tour, which gave me some food for thought.

Dr Nishtha leads a wonderful walking tour through the old streets of Udaipur. Personal stories, history, interactions with locals make this a wonderful experience. Walking through the various markets, sampling street food (if you choose) makes this an excellent experience.

Great way to start our trip. We took this tour about an hour after arriving in Udaipur. It was nice to have Nishtha explain and teach us culture and locations. We took lots of photos and had a great time seeing her city. Udaipur is a magical place.

Truly an excellent tour! Dr. Nishtha’s tour highlighted the daily lives of traditional artisans in Udaipur, with a unique emphasis on sustainability and preserving traditional knowledge. We couldn’t have seen these corners of Udaipur without her and we connected a lot over shared interests in sustainable development and circular economy. She is eager to get into meaningful conversations and answer questions, and I highly recommend this tour for the curious traveler!
