This tours starts off at Barque Brontes. This coffee sample is paired with macaron's from Diane's Delights. We are then off to a chocolate factory, indi chocolate, to taste pour-over coffee and pair it with a brownie bite and learn about cacao beans. Next sample and learn about Joe Chocolate Co which is an inspirational small business story. We then do a quick palate cleanse at Beecher's with a little Flagship cheese. We continue down First Ave to indulge in Fran's Chocolate who released the first fleur de sel caramel in Seattle. They use the finest ingredients in their confections and single origin hot cocoa. Last stop is Fonte who is a pioneer in local coffee and you'll get a good snap shot of how coffee has shaped the industry.
All highlighted companies are local Seattle businesses with a story that stems from a passion to source soundly and make decadent sweets or beverages.

Chef Kent, Liz, and John use their culinary backgrounds to create an experience which allows visitors to connect with the local food scene and chefs.
Liz, Founder of Eat Seattle, is classically trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and has spent the last 15 years perfecting her craft. John focuses on NW and Italian cuisines and has worked in and around the market for 20 years. He has run a professional kitchen, made pasta in restaurants and started his own dinner party club called Food Tribe.
Chef Kent started his career at the age of 16 when he began attending the Western Culinary Institute in Portland Oregon. From there, he's continued to learn and refine his craft by working at some of Seattle's favorite restaurants, such as Canlis, Poppy, Toulouse Petit, The Pink Door, and Oddfellows Cafe

We were impressed by Chef John’s knowledge and ability to move our tour through the large crowds easily. He had vast knowledge of chocolate, coffee, and the local shops we were introduced to. His relationship with the market and shops created a unique experience. The variety of chocolates and coffees we sampled this tour introduced us to new businesses, flavors, and chocolate treats.
