Mit fogunk csinálni?

This class will teach you all about whisk(e)y: where it comes from, how it’s made, how they differ from one another, what specific regions should traditionally taste like, etc. Origin, history and the process of making will all be explained in the talking portion of each associated whisky. Each individual dram was selected specifically for this class and they are as follows:

Weller 12yr Bourbon - USA
Michter’s 10yr Rye -USA
Yamazaki 12yr - Japan
Yellow spot 12yr - Ireland
Amrut Sherry Cask - India
Talisker 18yr - Scotland

Food that will be served is a locally sourced heritage pork chop that has been brined in garlic, sea salt and honey. There will also be Wild King Salmon (marbled white king when available) sautéed with seasonal vegetables. Charcuterie and cheese is available when you first show up, along with other little snacks that come from my kitchen, including chanterelle mushrooms and fancy corn dip.

Class is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours long, depending on how long the Q&A portion of each whiskey will last. I encourage more questions than fewer, I’m here to provide answers for everyone! Seriously, I’m full of information and love to share all I know after two decades in the restaurant industry.
Other things to note
I have a strong belief to drink in moderation, everyone will have a great time but not leave sloppy. This is an informational event, but we will have a great time as well! Please bring proper ID

Hol leszünk?

We will be located in the historic Pike Place Market, just down the way in Post Alley. This will be in a private kitchen that houses 12 people total that is utilized only for the sake of education with a full kitchen to whip up everything from scratch.

Tommy did a great job. You could tell he had quite a knowledge of the whiskey world and enjoyed sharing it. Instead of a dry lecture, he set it up to be informative, yet casual and relaxed, mixing in historical references and funny stories.

The food was great the whiskey selection was amazing but the best part was having Tommy speak about the whiskey and answering any question you can think of. I can’t wait to come back!

This was a great way to end my WA vacation. I’ve done tastings in the past, but none as informative and personal. Only thing I hate, is that I live in LA and won’t be able to attend more to try other whiskeys in his collection. Oh, and the food he prepared for us, was also just completely amazing.
