In this region, which was literally the heart of the royal domain in Bohemia, we find a concentration of the oldest royal castles. So join me and let's visit namely the less known romantic ruin royal castle Jenčov lost in wild forest.

Let me introduce myself a bit. I live in the region of Central Bohemia from my birth. I studied history at Charles University. I am interested in the local history, particualry of the historical Křivoklátsko area and industrial Kladno. Although Prague is a ‘crown‘ of Bohemia and is a tourist destination number 1, there is a circle of less known, but enormously interesting places on the edge of Prague region. I have decided to focuse on these hidden but magical places and show them to the visitors coming to the Czech republic.

Hol leszünk?

We will start our walk trip at the Břetislavův oak, (the legend says that under this oak, Přemyslid Prince Břetislav II. was killed by an insidious killer Lorek, two days before Christmas in 1100) and then continue to the ruins of Jenčov. From the place where we park the car, it is only 2 km walking. After the visit to the castle, we will make a campfire and enjoy some snack - sausages or cheese(for vegetarian) in typical Czech style.
