You will go through the basics of how to run a 16mm silent camera and to shoot 50feet of 16mm film (about 90 seconds of footage): you will receive an insightful tutorial on how to master a 60 year old technology, learning to film live action and even stop motion animation. You will use black and white negative stock for an authentic silent cinema look!
Other things to note
The equipment is lent on the day and will be returned at the end of the experience. Processing is not included, but we will advise you how to process and digitise your roll of film.

You will film around Shoreditch, exploring some of East London's best kept secret filming locations. Choose between Victorian or 1960s settings, on and off the unique diversity of Brick Lane, a vibrant art and fashion student area, with considerable exhibition space and curious architectures.

My afternoon with Alberto was a lovely experience, he is full of passion about shooting on film, and you can see how much he enjoys sharing that passion with others. It was super fun, and he made something as unique as film so easy to get into. And to top it all off, my film looked amazing! A wonderful memory from a fun experience, definitely recommend!
