The Owl & the Pussycat Solar Powered Home in Scarborough

A comfortably decorated and fully equipped home, makes it a breeze to feel right at home. The space is accessible 24/7 via access codes for stress free arrival times. Guest can access everything except the garage We will be reachable via email, text or phone if needed The house is in Scarborough, arguably the most exciting village in the Western Cape. It’s full of charm, nature, and awesome local people. There are amazing surfing and kite-surfing conditions at the ocean. Once in Scarborough there is no need for transport unless you are leaving the village for nearby surf or entertainment. There is no dedicated public transport so it is advised to have a vehicle available if wanting to explore beyond the surroundings. Due to stairs without safety gates, the space is not recommended for mobile children below 3 or 4 years of age. If safety gates are required pls inform us ahead of time to get them setup before your arrival. Bath towels & bedding are provided. Please note that the kids bedroom is not advised for more than 2 adults due to the pull out bed below the bunks. WiFi is available, However it is limited so streaming or downloading is not a good idea but there is more than sufficient data for all your basic internet needs. Data bundles can be purchased as you require. (We love this place because we can escape the digital world). There is a T.V with several Chanels, USB input for external drives as well as a DVD player so please bring your own content if you wish to keep the kids entertained. We do have some classics available for you to use. There is a Bluetooth entertainment system downstairs to easily sync your phone or laptop to your favorite playlists.

Upper Mountain Cottage

Upper Mountain Cottage is a semi-detached portion of mountain house in a hectare of mature garden and fynbos. Its natural materials such as sundried earth walls, timber from onsite, and green roof respond to the nearby mountains. Natural swimmable ponds, provide an oasis for birds and wildlife. The living and kitchen spaces open onto stoeps with a choice of sunshine or shade, garden or sea views. Guests have seasonal access to the swimmable reservoir ponds and year long access to the gardens .

BushBaby Cabin

BushBaby Cabin is perfect for a romantic get-away. A log cabin beautifully nestled in the milkwood forest, just 20mins from Hermanus - secluded from the busyness of life. Situated by the Botriver lagoon, with a private path for access, this hidden gem brings you to nature's doorstep. Look out for the roaming wild horses and a variety of bird-life. BushBaby is in Meerenbosch with communal pool, tennis courts and table tennis access. Ideal to catch summer sun or a warm, cozy fire in winter.

Ocean side Nomad Space

Please note this is a Home not a Hotel We respect the nature in this area and the community is family pro so please keep noise low. A space where friends can get away from the city, or come to enjoy working on your latest project in peace. Sounds of the waves can be heard from every angle, and the splash of the water on the rocks is just a walk away. Beautiful warm location with the sun coming in from the horizon. Uncapped fibre wifi with a dedicated workspace in a relaxing environment.

Bay View - Self Catering Apartment

Bay View apartment offers quality accommodation high up on the Fish Hoek Mountain providing spectacular views of False Bay, the Atlantic Ocean in the west and surrounding mountains. Guests enjoy two spacious bedrooms, an open plan lounge, dining/working area, a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances, private patio and communal pool all with spectacular views, a modern bathroom (shower no bath), WiFi and premium DSTV. Not ideal for small children as close supervision is required.

The Glen Cottage

Come relax and explore the beautiful winelands from The Glen Cottage, tucked away in a secluded blue gum tree glen at the foot of the Helderberg with stunning views towards Gordons Bay. Enjoy the tranquility of The Glen Cottage with your own separate entrance, secure parking, private entertainment / barbecue patio and fully equipped cottage. PLEASE NOTE: The cottage is on one level, but an outdoor staircase with 14 steps will lead you from the parking area to the cottage (see photos).
