We love our little imperfect home that creeks and looks pretty good for being over 100. Currently it is getting a makeover and upgrade. Please be aware of this as you are booking. It has a roomy, walkout basement apartment with windows in every room and is tucked away in the heart of downtown. This home dates back to the 1800s, with loads of character and occasionally a bit of noise from the upper levels. It’s not a high-end trendy spot, but it’s humble, and perfect in our eyes.

Travelers Nook - close to downtown

The TRAVELERS NOOK is a cute, cozy, one bedroom apartment close to downtown Staunton! It’s located on the second floor, with a private entrance. It has all the charm that you would expect to find in a cute studio apartment! Built by a local architect Tj Collins in the 1920’s. This quaint space has everything you need to enjoy your stay here in Staunton! We do accept small pets on approval with a pet cleaning charge.

Centrally located near the library, Gypsy Hill Park, and downtown Staunton, our private, walkout basement apartment has individually controlled heating and air conditioning. It includes a brick patio, private rear entrance and historic details from the late 1800's. It is generally quiet, but you may sometimes hear the two adults upstairs. My home is located just over a mile from the heart of Downtown Staunton. With easy access to I81, I64 and 262, you can easily traverse the Shenandoah Valley. Some of the highlights of the Staunton area are Shenandoah Shakespeare, Mary Baldwin University, Sunspots Glass Studio, Frontier Culture Museum, a unique downtown and proximity to a rich wine and brewery culture.

The Storefront: Downtown Staunton + Unique Stay

Welcome to The Storefront: A Very Small Hotel. The Storefront is located right in the heart of downtown Staunton. The Storefront was built in the early 1900's and was previously a tea shop before becoming a vacation destination. It's like having your own little townhouse in the heart of Staunton's historic district! Keep your car parked and walk everywhere you need to go.

The Stable

Our guesthouse is located in the historic Tree Streets Neighborhood of Waynesboro, VA, an official Appalachian Trail town, located at the southern end of the Shenandoah National Park. We've aptly named the guesthouse "The Stable" because it was originally built and functioned as a stable. It has since been converted into a cozy cottage for guests.
