Welcome to the 100 acre wood! We invite you to our guest suite on the lower level of our home. You will have dedicated parking, your own private entrance, and access to hiking trails. We are 15 minutes to Hatley Pointe for skiing and snowboarding. 45 min or less to amazing hikes and waterfalls. This magical acreage is perched at 2,951 ft elevation and faces South for warm sun exposure.

Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Chestnut Ridge Retreat

Guest love the peace and the views here at our retreat. Enjoy a morning or evening in the hot tub, sun on the pool deck and swim in warm weather. Build a fire and relax in the pavilion by the fireplace or sit around the fire pit. Guests comment that they sleep so well in the room. Walk to property to see the chickens, horse and donkey. Just a great place to just relax! We have added a small chair that converts to a bed (not very comfy) if you are traveling with kids - we can squeeze 3 in.

The RhodoDen

As its name suggests, The RhodoDen is a cozy 1974 Airstream Argosy nestled among the rhododendron of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set along a trickling creek with a bonfire ring and a view of nearby Watch Knob, this is "glamping" at its finest. RhodoDen provides an idyllic place to relax, and is a great basecamp for hiking adventures, dining and nightlife in Asheville and Black Mountain, both of which are only 15 minutes away.
