Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Vi har 2 min. til smuk udsigt mod Kullen, havnen og kysten, samt 7 min. gang til strand med bro, og således rig mulighed for en morgen dukkert! Følg Fyrstien mod det gamle Gilleleje, eller i modsat retning mod Nakkehoved Fyr, hvorfra der er en betagende udsigt.

Nordstrand B&B i Gilleleje ligger i et af byens gamle og skønne områder, helt tæt på Strandbakkerne og Kattegat og i gå afstand til vores fantastiske by og havn. Den hyggeligt indrettede og ugenerte 40 m2 ferielejlighed/anneks med bad og køkken, har adgang til egen træterrasse/have med havemøbler i sommerhalvår.

Den Sorte Cottage + Orangeri

Udlejning fra 1. april - 31. oktober. Den Sorte Cottage med orangeri er en del af den historiske ejendom Skippergaarden, Fabersvej 2c, i det gamle Gilleleje. Skippergaarden er fra 1797, bygget af vraggods fra en ostindienfarer, der forliste udenfor Gilleleje i 1797 (sidste renovering 2003/4), og Den Sorte Cottage er fra 1892, da landliggerbegrebet opstod (sidste renovering 2019/20). Orangeriet er fra 2009. Her er wi-fi og parkering.
