Raglan Roast and a Four Square just a block away. The Tairawhiti Museum and the Farmers Market just over the river. Waikanae beach, a 15 minute walk down the rivers walkway. The Esplanade Townhouse is comfortable, and is tastefully decorated with an impressive array of original Gisborne Artwork. Nau mai haere mai!

A few minutes walk to the local cafe & beach store and 6 minutes drive to the Gisborne city centre . Sorry PETS are NOT welcome. Our spa is currently not working.

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

Wake up and literally check the surf from in bed. You won’t find a place closer or with better views than this one. It’s pretty special and full of character. The house is very comfortable with a Daikin Heat pump unit and oil heaters and fans in each bedroom. Off-street parking.
