An ideal location for a couple to base themselves while exploring the wonderful Golden Bay. This peaceful rural property, 5 minutes from central Takaka is surrounded by fields and bird-song. The self-contained unit has a en-suite bathroom with large step free shower, a vanity and toilet. The bed/sitting room includes a reclining couch, queen bed, dining table and a fully equipped kitchenette. The property is Animal friendly, with plenty of off street parking. As the host we also live on-site.

Karaka Studio on Manuka Island

Karaka studio is on the very edge of the Waimea Inlet with water twenty metres from your front door. Lie in bed and watch the tide come in. We are a private island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafe, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.

Our priority is ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. We provide comfortable beds, 2 Super King-sized beds and 1 queen-sized bed. Our property is on a tranquil cul-de-sac but within walking distance of town. A brand new Air Con and a wood burner make this home very cozy. Our location is very central.
