The Swallow's Nest

Please don't come here - If you're looking for big city lights, mod cons & public transport. Please do come here - If you're interested in growing your own food, keeping bees, hiking, food preservation, nature, chickens & geese, bats, birdsong & silence (hens/geese/wildlife permitting!). The Swallow's Nest is a tiny barn which sits between Slievenamon & the Comeragh mountains, in the glorious valley known as The Honeylands but is only a ten minute drive from Clonmel, Tipperary's County town.

The Wee Cottage

This is a 3 bedroom small cottage with a spacious outdoor area that includes a south facing patio, lounge chairs, picnic bench and a gas barbecue. Washing machine and dryer are both provided as-well as Netflix on the tv. Conveniently located 6km outside of Youghal, which has spectacular beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants. Glenbower woods is 5km from the house which offers nice peaceful walks. Cork city is a 45 minute drive with regular buses running from both Youghal and Killeagh.

Situated on the edge of Killeagh village on the N25 midway between the towns of Midleton and Youghal. Local attractions include the new Midleton to Youghal greenway, Velo1 Cycle route, Castlemartyr Resort and Golf club, Jameson Distillery-Midleton and the Titanic Experience-Cobh. Walking distance to village shops, restaurant, coffee shops and bars. Cois Taoide is a comfortable one bedroom cottage with a fitted kitchen located in the heart of the picturesque seaside town of Youghal. It’s located on Windmill Hill and has breathtaking views over the Blackwater River Estuary. The cottage is a two-minute walk to the Mall beach and is a scenic 15 minute walk to the three blue flag beaches . It is also a short walk to historical landmarks such as the Clockgate Tower, the Old Town walls ,Restaurants , cafes, bars and the cinema .

It offers a comfortable and private haven with double bedroom , spacious shower room, and fully equipped kitchen/dining space. We are ideally located to enjoy fabulous views and picturesque walks. The Yard is a short drive to beaches, golf courses, renowned restaurants. We are also an ideal base to explore towns of Youghal & Midleton, both being only a 15/20 minute drive.

Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!
