The cabin is a turn of the century Appalachian log home, with all the amenities and conveniences that make life comfortable. We are just off the the main corridor heading in to the Smoky's and surrounding attractions. The cabin sits on a 4 acre knoll on Douglas Lake...this is truly a Mountain and Lake vacation! With 600 miles of shoreline to explore, this cabin is a destination unto itself. This cabin is a living museum to our Appalachian history that remind guests of simpler times and ways.

Our lakefront mountain home is the perfect family vacation destination or for a weekend getaway with friends. Ideally situated on 2 acres of gently sloping land on Lake Glenville near the villages of Cashiers and Highlands, the Lakehouse’s 200+ feet of shoreline, provide ample space to enjoy swimming or relaxing on the sun terrace overlooking the lake. It is one of the few homes on the lake that truly has a large sloping lawn down to the waterfront making it the perfect home to enjoy the lake.

Situated among the lush mountain laurel, native rhododendron and moss covered yard at a cool elevation of 3500 feet. We area a pet friendly rental with a limit of 2 pets per visit but NO pet fee because we have found that pet owners are very considerate of our cute cabin so thank you and enjoy your stay.

Cozy Lakefront Cottage with Mountain Views

Come relax & enjoy our charming cottage on the main channel of Douglas Lake. Experience breathtaking sunsets, lakeside bonfires, & refreshing dips in the cool water. Please note, the water level is highest from May-August. This home accommodates 4 adults max & 3 children. The dock does NOT have water at it during winter/early spring drawdown (typically Oct–April). Guests can still walk to the shoreline.
