A Perfect location In Paradise!

I've always been drawn to the images of the Native Hawaiian Kauhale (Hawaiian Village). With the Kalo patches, the bananas, the placement of ulu and coconut tress. It all just communicated a feeling of health and vitality where the land and it's people were in harmony. This vision is my guiding light as I cultivate this space. My hope is that you will feel it's expanse, it's thoughtfulness, it's mana (spiritual power). Here you can connect to what is needed, peace....the house is awesome too.

A lovely, private and very clean cottage with all amenities for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Quiet, and cool the year around, we are a 20 minute walk from the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden and well situated for touring to Waipio Valley, Akaka Falls, Volcano National Park, and many other destinations in the area. We live in the adjoining hale and offer our private 2 bedroom guest suite with separate entrance, living room, bathroom and simple kitchen with custom lighted "lava" kitchen counter Important: 5th person on booking: If you make a booking for 5 people, the sleeping arrangement is only suitable for children as it is a fold down couch. It is NOT long enough for an adult to sleep straight.

Large studio unit attached to our family home in HPP, a rural subdivision in Puna on Hawai‘i Island. 20 min from Hilo Int'l Airport & 40 min from Volcanoes NP. We have 2 large dogs, Jack & Boogie, a big blind pig, Lilo, and many cats. They bark/chuff and will be excited to meet you. If you aren't comfortable around large dogs and a blind pig this is not the place for you. Animal noises, incl. coqui frogs, are part of this rural space. You agree to all "House Rules" by instantly booking.
