Little House on Strother RunNestled between Mount Tom and Double Top Mountain and at the edge of the Shenandoah National Forest, Little House is the perfect starting out and ending point for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the Appalachian Mountains. Little House is located at the edge of our 7 acre property. You'll enjoy the bucolic atmosphere of our farmette which includes use of our shared sitting area on Strother Run. The sitting area is shared with the main house which is rented or used by our family periodically.
Keaton Ridge sits on one of the highest points in Shenandoah Woods. You can take in the panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley from the spacious wrap around deck. Or enjoy the view from the comfort of inside. Amazing views are available from the windows of the octagonal dining room, the many windows of the vaulted ceiling great room, or the windows above the spa/massage tub in the master suite. Rustic style cabin located on working farm with ponds, fields, privacy, and wildlife. UPDATE WE WILL HAVE OUR OWN HERD OF ALPACAS COME MID JUNE 2021! And will offer "Walk an Alpaca" hikes on the property. Working farm crops range from alfalfa, wheat, and corn. There are cattle on the backend of the property. The farm was part of the Long Family Farm which was land granted to them by Thomas Jefferson in the early 1800's. My father purchased his section of the land late 1980's.

The Finks-Johnson House on Strother Run is a renovated farmhouse built by the Finks Family @1900. We have 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, den, living room and front porch with swing and rockers!! Our property extends across the road, where there is a sitting area above Strother Run. The "sitting area" on Strother Run is shared with the "Little House," at the back of our property, which is rented as well.
