Our apartment is situated in a charming little pedestrian street in the downtown of Budapest. The surrounding area is classic and elegant. The neighbouring streets are full of quality restaurants and cafes, where you can start and end the day. Nevertheless our street is peaceful and quite, where you can relax after a long day, while you can still enjoy all the advantages of being in the center. It’s a great starting point to see all the sights in Budapest. The public transportation is perfect: 2 metro lines, 2 tram lines, and 2 bus lines are just in 1 minute walk from the apartment. Even you can reach many of the famous sights within a few minutes walk: Danube promenade 6 min, Váci street 4 min, Central Market hall 5 min, Gellert Bath 12 min. Chestnut Suite is located on the second floor of a graceful historic building. The house itself was constructed in 1850, but was fully renovated in the 2000’s, preserving the original beauty of the building. Our apartment begins with a long balcony, facing to the quiet patio of the house. The balcony is equipped with garden furniture, where you can enjoy the morning coffee or evening wine under the greenery of the large chestnut tree, that grows in the patio. This area is like a small town in the city. It's classy and tidy, with smaller and less busy streets than in other areas of the Downtown. Egyetem ter, Karolyi kert, Kecskemeti utca, are such lovely places where you enjoy walking or just sitting on a bench and watching. Probably here are the most fountains at the same place in the city. There are restaurants, pastry shops and cafes everywhere, so it's the best place for gourmets! No ruinpubs, no party places here, you can truly relax in this neighborhood day and night. This area is famous for Liberty bridge, National museum, Central Market, Downtown Assumption parish, Vaci street, Central Cafe Public transportation: From the airport: 100E bus departing in every 30 minutes from the airport to Budapest center. Price: 900 HUF/person. Regular Budapest ticket/pass cannot be used. Please take off at Kálvin tér, cross the square towards hotel Mercure, go ahead on Kecskeméti utca. The second little street on the left is Képíró utca. From Keleti train station: Take Metro line 4 (green), the third stop is Kálvin tér. Parking: If you arrive by car, the best way for parking is the big parking garage of hotel Mercure. It’s only one minute walking distance from the apartment. The daily price is 23 EUR. The parking ticket needs to be paid in the hotel reception before departure. We decided to share our beloved ex-home with you, travellers! We've put a lot of love into this little place. Pretty lights, feeling just like home and unforgettable view. This is our lovely, quiet, always bright studio. Why we like it so much? Because of: • The excellent access to the public transport, only in 10 minutes from Kazinczy/Király Street / Gozsdu Garden or other citysights by metro or downtown trolleybus in 15 min. • Our top floor terrace with insane panorama, where the whole city is visible including the Buda Castle, Basilica, Heroes Square, Elisabeth Lookout, Buda hills. Each day a picturesque sunset is included with the view. This is a good place if you want to have an ice-cold "fröccs"! • The bright, well-equipped kitchen where you can find all the tools you need to cook something delicious. • Pretty lights in the afternoon (facing west) and a comfortable queen size bed with foam mattress. We provide fresh bedsheets. • The bathroom with bathtub, toiletries, hairdryer, washing machine and fresh towels. • The good and fast wifi (240 Mbit). • The sound system with jack cable connection. • 35sqm studio • Air Conditioner • Television with 100 channels including several foreign channels as well. • Nestle 600 meters from Városliget Park (one of the biggest park of Budapest) which makes this location great for quick access to the outdoors. All amenities in the entire apartment are available exclusively for you. We'll always be available by phone, email, airbnb messaging if needed, but otherwise you will have complete privacy and exclusive access to the entirety of the apartment for you to enjoy. We are always free if you have any questions and close by if you need anything. The apartment is a block from the iconic Andrassy Avenue and Heroes Square. It's a 20-minute walk to the Jewish Quarter, well-known for its vibrant nightlife, hip coffee shops, and cool restaurants. The building is right in front of a trolleybus station from where there are buses going in every 4 minutes towards the Parliament (15 minutes ride). Erzsébet Körút is either 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes ride with the trolleybus, from there you can take the tram 4-6 which is the busiest tram-line in Budapest operating 24/7 which takes you pretty much all around the city center. Keleti Railway Station is also a 8 minutes walk or 3 minutes ride with the trolleybus (78) to the other direction, from there you can take the subway M3 and M4. The surrounding streets offer a lot of free parking premises, also it's really safe to leave your car there even for a longer time.
